[Help Needed][XT1644] How to go back to Stock Marshmallow? - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi,
So, right now, I am in CyanogenMod 13, and while I enjoy it, I want to go back to stock. 1 problem, I can't find the XT1644 firmware ANYWHERE. Not even on Google. If anyone can supply me the stock marshmallow firmware and put instructions on how to do it, I will be very grateful. =D
Thanks,
justtrying591

link doesn't work - btw, is this an update for someone running 22.21.28 to another build, or is is from another build TO 22.21.28? if so, what build?
Correct link
My guess is the original poster meant to post this link:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95897840722648255
Based on the size, it looks to me like the OTA or flash image (from recovery) from 4.4.4 to 5.0.2 official/pure stock.
Link fixed.
This updates 4.4.4 to Lollipop 5.0. This was captured from an XT1064 model.

Yes, I've gathered that much but what build was the device on that this was pulled from. Was is 21.11.17? that's important to note because the OTA files are specific to that build only. Otherwise if it IS 21.11.17 I have also uploaded the same OTA file - I suspect it is based on file size (412MB).

I updated the same as you then. Didn't notice it was here. I don't deal with stock ROM much. Just thought someone might need it.

no worries! you just got me all excited at first - thought it might be the OTA I need to go to 22.21.25 to build 22.21.28 on my Consumer Cellular xt1064 (unlocked and reloaded with stock firmware). As always, thanks for taking the time to pull the file and upload it! I'd rather have it and not need it... and that sort of thing.

Check out the temasek thread in original development. Prob wrong section, but anyway. I have shawn5162 there for bug support, but I'm doing casual builds of temasek cm12. Check out the cm12 thread first actually.

definitely going to - I should actually clarify that I am sim-unlocked, not bootloader. I've managed to get up to this point using all signed firmware and the right OTA file, but since I've severly burned my bridges over at moto's forum, there's no hope of me doing MFN.... so I'm going to be unlocking the bootloader shortly - I was kinda hoping an exploit-based root might come about, but no such luck! Definitely going to be checking out the CM12 builds, as well as using this phone as my first foray into tweaking , and eventually building roms. It was a little intimidating at first, but now I'm wondering what the heck I've been afraid of all these years.

How do I pull the 6.0 OTA??

I've received the update! Downloaded! But did not install it yet & I dont have rooted device so can some one help me with Pulling the OTA?
PS- I never signed for any Moto Program so its not like leaking the update!
I just came across this.

I replied to your post in the Soak Test thread, I just wanna say thanks again for doing this for us, we owe you one if you pull this off!
Hey @hamburgertrain Most probably I wont be able to root the device as I just have the device for review! Any non rooted method? Else I might just go ahead and root it if nothing works!

I don't know of any non-root methods, though someone else might.
Rooting would involve unlocking the bootloader through fastboot, using Motorola's unlock page.
I wish I could be of more help!
@hamburgertrain I'll wait for someone else to reply before I update!

Hey can you explain what KDZ is? (i new at android and i dont know much) i want to get rid TWRP and root too to get the update
I've been with stock rom and got latest 21A update via LG suite. I hate it It's been a struggle, but CM 12.1 was worse in some areas, so I decided to stick with the stock.
The lag is killing me, random reboots, slow camera. Feels like I own a 2011 phone. Hopefully M will be a little bit better, but I'm not expecting drastic performance increases.
Oh well...one can only hope.

It will wipe everything on your phone now. So back up your photos and contacts and anything else you have in internal sd.
On Cloudy G3 and I will wait on an appropriate modded stock based rom before moving on to 6.0.
Being on stock unrooted doesn't mean you'll get the Marshmallow update on those days
Doesnt surprise me if LG pull back the 6.0 update till february just like they did with the G4 (cause of some sort of,"bug".). Lets wait and see next week.

This firmware is OLD as dirt... it is the original Marshmallow release (the date is wrong, it's been noted in the official forums) and will fail to flash on any device that has taken even a single Marshmallow OTA past the original one.
@jocala Look in my sig, there is a return to stock and lock, in that thread there is links to current firmware and instructions to flash it, and optionally relock the bootloader.

THANK YOU, FOR THIS HEADS UP AND CORRECTING MY ERROR!

It recently worked to bring mine back to stock, but it had been on TruPureXMM, since last December and I had not taken any updates.

[Q] MOTO X FORCE Nougat 7.0/7.1.1 Delay

Hi everyone, this is just a simple question:
How many of you think about the delay of the N update is because MAYBE Motonovo are updating to 7.1.1 intead 7.0?
'cause has been pass a week (maybe 2) and we don't have news about the update. My MXF is from iusacel and i don't receive (yet) the upgrade, this forum (or others) don't have even the Update.zip to flash 7.0.
Greetings
If this is true:
https://www.oficinadanet.com.br/post/19231-android-nougat-chega-para-moto-x-force-no-brasil
I would say 2-4 weeks and I think we'll get only 7.0
no 7.1.1 for us - which is sad, because even Moto X Play gets 7.1.1 ... hmmm
Today I received the 7.0 on my unlocked Moto X Force (AT&T México) and like @capedukewuhaha said, it's sadly the end of the line for this device (at least officially, of course).

I did not understand. Do you want to restore the backup 6.0 in order to test the modem operation?
I just want to know if in order to restore 6.0 I have to only restore my backup via TWRP or would I have to also flash proprer modem afterwards?
I have x force xt1580 reteu what i have to so?
