Sm-G9298F Kernel is not seandroid enforcing - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can you please help me because i think i screwed up pretty badly
i watched a youtube video on how to root samsung galaxy s6 edge plus with odin and i did it step by step (i think so). Now i am here with a bricked device. When i try to boot up it shows the phone's model and stuff (as it should) but in the top left corner there is a red message saying <<KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING>> and i dont know what you do. Also i wanted to install the stock firmware but i dont know my build number soo i think i fked up....
If you see this and know the solution please help me as soon as possible.

it is possible boo t into system?

and i tried to format all data but it doesnt work
ive rooted 3 devices and this never happened to
sorry for the late reply

thank you for your time but i fixed it
thank you for the help but i miraculously i fixed it by installing the stock kernel (correctly) but if you can find me a a way of rooting it i would help me very much

I in no way regret having bought a S4. I swapped it for my old S2 and I haven't had a single problem yet :good:
CF-Root and CWM (Chenglu version) works perfect and so do Titanium Backup.
As far as I know S4 i9505 have been very difficult in the matter of getting proper root and recovery.
In such a case a good advice might be to hold back flashing a bit!
So to be honest to you ... I think you just did something you shouldn't have done and IMO you only have your self to blame!

i think i do 1 error is to use this new flasher to flash phil recovery .
for all other thing i do that with s2 and s3 without any pbm.
a bad move this time i'll give it to SAV and see
CF-AUTO-ROOT is like the greatest and one of the most easiest way to get root, I don't understand why he didn't root it that way?

I don't understand what he is saying? computer to change? huh?
I'm very to new to all this (SGS4 is my first smartphone ever) and don't want a bricked phone. Just here to gain more knowledge.
ps To lighten things up a bit, I regret a lot of things as well, like my first 3 wives.:silly: JK
finally no regrets
I do nothing wrong the firmware of S4 is young and very buggy that is the pbm !!!
about recovery i am used with recovery of S2 and S3 the recovery of S4 is ridiculous it's very small you must use a magnifier for read it and after a wipe the droid is red and it's written no data !!!! that's worried me but when i see an untouched S4 i understand !!!
for some app going quickly in standby mode after 2 or 3 flash it's gone i think it's a bad flash the first time, i hope that not come back...
i hope a lot of update a lot of new firmware that's the only thing can solve the multiples bug of youth.
to resume the S4 is really a nice phone

[Q] dm-verity verification failed in recovery

(My phone is still running stock room, rooted, and with twrp)
So I was just about to flash a custom rom on my note since I learned that I can flash some t-mobile rom on my canadian (Bell) variant if I also flash a certain kernel(Only AEL and star[sumtin] I think) .
When I go to my recovery, I see on the bottom of the screen: dm-verity verificatoin failed.
I did a lot of research and didn't found anything, except some vague mention of that when bootloop are occuring.
So I don't know what I should do, if I can still flash anything without any worries, or should I unroot my note and flash the stock unrooted rom?
Can I still continue what I was doing and flash the custom rom and kernel I wanted to flash?
Another small question: I remember before rooting my note I had a software update available. I decided to root it first thinking I could do the update after (stupid I know), but I couldn't no more (I got a message about using a modified version or something like that). Is it important? Should I unroot my note, update the stock software, then root it again? And I guess if I flash another custom rom it's insignificant right?
thanks in advance! If I'm posting that because I really searched and found nothing satisfactory and clear, also bear with me I'm not perfectly bilingual.
It sounds like the custom rom you downloaded got corrupted, or just isn't compatible with your device. Try downloading again, and see if that works.
As for the update, now you are rooted you can no longer get any OTA updates. Most if not all custom roms will be using the latest builds. If you want to flash a completely stock (updated) rom, sammobile.com is where you need to be. But you will have to root the device afterwards.

Same problem for me. Was on completely stock rom until today but hated the lack of control so tried a custom rom. I've been a flashaholic for years so thought I'd have no problem but how wrong I was. First I tried TWRP recovery several times but kept getting stock recovery. I then tried Philz CWM but got even more problems including "dm-verity verification failed". I am fairly new to KitKat as I tried it on my note 1 but didn't like it. I am really angry that the stock rom prevents me installing bloatware and restricts access to my Sd card.
Have now managed to root and install clockwork mod and Echo rom and all seems to be working now

That´s what I finally did. Couldn´t resolve it in any other way.
After that I installed TWRP instead of CWM and also used another root-method as before. (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2oOvf5tOCY) Since then the problem is gone.
Do you think I can just run Odin and install twrp without refreshing to stock rom first?
I dint even know if it's possible to switch to twrp after installing cwm without A fresh start lol
Might give it a go when I have a few hours to re set up the phone haha
Thanks for your help though!

I don´t know whether you can flash twrp after installing cwm, but I doubt it would solve your problem anyway.
Well, you could try. In the worst case you can still go back to stock.

Another thing you could do is, ask Rkrishnamurthy from this thread, what he finally flashed on his 910G-model? http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=325832927
He might have flashed the N910F-recovery on his N910G.
Or ask Aamirleo55 from this thread, what he did with his N910G: http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...rp-2-8-1-0-t2923509/post56392220#post56392220

This really suck, because essentially i wont be able to backup, restore and flash my phone like i use to on the note 3......
I seriously hope 910F TWRP recovery is the answer.

Ok
So I decided to download the latest CF Auto root and I found that the TRLTEDT corresponds with the SM-N910G - http://autoroot.chainfire.eu/
TRLTEDT correspondents to the India TWRP recovery - http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/266
SM-N910G also corresponds to India, Singapore, Sri Lanka and obviously Australia (where i am based) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/general/galaxy-note-4-versions-cpu-t2883741
So in theory i should probably use that one.

Sorry for the bad link. I tried to find it again, but also couldn´t. If you wanted, you could still send him a private message.
When I had the DM-verity issue, I also reflashed to stock, installed CWM and rooted again, and got the same problem again. Just as you. Only when I used TWRP it worked for me and the DM-verity problem didn´t occur since then.
For backup you could at least make a Titanium-backup, which in the paid version even allows you to create a flashable .zip-file from all your backupped apps & settings. This is a very convenient way of re-installing everything, almost like a nandroid-backup.
Or if you are brave enough you could try flashing TWRP-recovery directly over your current CWM. I don´t know whether that works, but as long as you can get into download-mode, you will always find your way back to stock.

like you said though, as long as i can get into download mode, I should be all good.
I actually soft bricked my phone a couple days after i got it by accidentally converting certain system apps to user apps..... (idiot). Fixed the problem by flashing stock firmware and then re rooting. So i have some experience fixing this haha but hopefully i don't have to and report some good news.

Mate! It worked.
So for anyone with DM-Verity Verification failed, simply install the appropriate TWRP recovery over it and it will fix your problem.
also SM-N910G is compatible with the TWRP Recovery for Inidia (even though it does not say it is)
So hap this fixed my problems and big thanks to Parinibbana for all the assistance.

SuperSU isn't working great for our device for root access so that's why it's stuck where it's at. Read up here http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...rom-stock-rooted-debloated-x1575-6-0-t3262242 and restore your phone and install one of these backups and do not use SuperSU to root for now. Hope this helps.

Sure does! I also just read that... But this way is a safer bet for people that don't wanna mess with flashing multiple files. I myself just want a systemless root with stock recovery which I have obtained finally. Problem is LOTS of posts in these forums are giving different instructions and there is no clear method for everyone unless you end up reading the proper one first.

I have working solution
Hi guys, I have been searching for the same since I have a galaxy on5 chinese model sm-g5500 and I finally found the answer which was existed right here on xda forums for some time unnoticed. This guy gave a working copy of TWRP recovery for On5. This twrp is meant for some different model with exynos 3475 chipset but luckily works fine with On5. Flash this twrp and then flash gapps using it. Easy!! NB: your phone will replace the newly flashed twrp with the stock recovery right after reboot. In order to avoid this you must prepare yourself to power off your device immediately after you see the message 'PASS' on odin. Pull off the back cover and quickly pull the usb cable abd battery after the 'PASS' message then take your time and start recovery mode by 'volemu-up+home+power' keys. This will boot into twrp at least one time for sure. I haven't tested it after an other reboot to see if it still there. My job of flashing gapps done anyway. That's all I wanted. Hope this helps guys.

Which version of kingroot did you use to root your galaxy on5.
I have an On5 pro with MM and I even tried the latest version to root. It said that it has 76 requests to root this phone but its not enough to work on it. Plz help

Custom Kernel = No WLAN

I have rooted the S8. If I flash a custom kernel now, no matter which one (TGP, NX, NOTORIOUS) I can not turn on the WLAN afterwards, - the slider always jumps out. With and without Wipe, - does not work.
Flash original firmware from sammobile then test it.

Sir flash latest firmware then root it only by twrp and when you flash twrp you have to wipe data typing yes for complete functionality and them root it by magisk. I hope you wont get any issues. Seriosuly did to my s8 same many times didnt face the issue once.

I flashed TWRP with Odin.
Then in the TWRP SuperSU flashed, nothing else.
As soon as I take a custom kernel - no Wi-Fi
Or did I misunderstand you?

Maybe maybe sir its because if supersu maybe, with all due respect repeat process and this time root using Magisk i use it and installed NX kernel worked fine i know kernel provide features but if it doesnt help make compromise with stock kernel and keep using it.
---------- Post added at 09:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:52 PM ----------
And sir dont rush into aything whenever you install twrp after flashing origi al firmware, when twrp boots for the first time you have to keep it read only dont allow modifications then go to wipe and wipe data type yes then reboot your phone compkete setup then install magisk then reboot and again boot into twrp now flash custom kernel. I explained everything what i do and i am fine everythings fine running custom kernel without issue.
