I have this watch and have a lot of questions but will try and keep it simple.
There are some apps that I cant download right from the GooglePlay store and I cannot seem to get the edges to show so I may be missing a toggle like "agree to terms" to allow for the install. Yes I know this watch has the "zoom" feature which is supposed to fill the screen in a circle and when disabled makes it a square to view the whole screen and not to miss anything, and it does do that but NOT in the GooglePlay store it always stays zoomed in no matter what I do so I guess my question is:
Is there a way to side load apps with this watch? When I plug in my cradle to USB on my windows 10 machine it shows in "Devices and Printers" but does not show up as a drive(which I have had with previous smartwatches), and when I click on "properties" it shows all good except the MTP driver is not good. Thus would make sense why it is not showing up as a drive for me to side load.
I tried to safely "eject drive" for it and it did and I reconnected but still have issue. I searched internet for drivers and downloaded a really bad virus which took me a while to get rid of doing a system restore.
Anyway does anyone have a link to the real working drivers for the Finow X3 Plus so I can see it as a driver and sideload apk's to it?
Thanks!
Also is there a program that will mirror my screen on my watch to a PC or my cell phone (also Android)? That would be the best actually if it was interactive mirror. I know they have programs for Android cellphones that will do that but not sure about smartwatches especially this model.
Hi bro
Try this

At first I had horrible connection issues with Vysor but seems to be stable now. Nice program!!!!
But still I cannot view full screen. Sure I downloaded the "search settings" app and can tripple click each corner to zoom in corners but they are still rounded corners and it is not showing full square image it is still round.

hello all.
i just bought my x10 yesterday and I am (or rather was) eager to install apps on it however the "Market" app isnt on my phone nor is there any sort of file manager.
How can i install anything now?
also the driver for the "X10i" that windows 7 keeps asking for is nowhere to be found...
pls help!
I can't help with the Market Application, but I can help with the drivers/PC Companion software.
With your SD Card installed in the device:
1) Connect Device to PC via USB
2) Once the Device has connected you will see a USB symbol in the top status bar (USB Connected message) on the Home Screen.
3) Drag down the Status Bar and you will see USB Connected under the 'Ongoing'. Tap this.
4) Select 'Mount' from the pop up
The SD Card will now be mounted to your PC and will appear under My Computer. It should be labelled "Sony Ericsson PC Software"
5) Open "Sony Ericsson PC Software" and Select "Install"
Your Drivers and PC Companion software will now install.
NOTE: Make sure you follow this disconnect procedure - I've seen ... weirdness when I haven't followed it and your SD Card may not be visible to the Phone again unless you do!
1) Safely Eject the device from Windows (USB symbol on Taskbar in Win 7 > Eject)
2) Drag down the Status Bar and tap USB Connection
3) Select UnMount
Note: Steps 2 & 3 are not always required...
Thanks.
I wasnt aware there was any stuff on the memory stick that came with the x10. I'll install the software.
However its really lame of SE to not have the market app.
whats odd is under application manager i did find "Market updater" so i know something is there. there has to be a way to install it so i can install s/w.
Hi Cylent,
I had the Market Application on the Apps menu - front and centre.
Forgive me if I'm telling you something you already know but the Home page (the one with the clock and the Timescape/media scape buttons) is only a customisable front end to the Android system.
you can add and remove widgets to the Home screen (Press and hold), there are three screens you can move to and fill with widgets (Swipe left or right to move).
At the bottom of the screen is a stripey bar. Swipe that bar upwards to reveal the Apps menu. This is scrollable and I found the Android Market icon (labelled Market and looks like a shopping bag) just off the initial view.
I find it very strange you don't have access to the Market using the Market app. Just for that, I'd take the phone back and demand another one.
Take care
S.
It seems like in Saudi and UAE the market application is illegal due to "protection of feelings" since there might be offending material in the App Store
So that is why here cant get the X10 with Market application...
:-(
Yeah, just found that out myself.
It kinda sucks for guys in that area - half the power of the phone is in its apps...
yes and what is even worse is I checked SE UAE BEFORE i bought the phone - and the website said android market was installed.
But here they do not care - so I was just told to shut it - and they would not give me a refund. SE made a mistake and is not "man" enough to admit it and refund a customer.
Now of course the have changed the UAE website... But I still have my screen dumps for my journalist friends. So off to fry SE UAE publicly..
well heres another ****ed up part.
the box says "AR,EN" on it and it even has a little start guide in arabic but the phone has no arabic on it what-so-ever. messages appear in BOXES when in arabic ...
it has a japanese keyboard which is odd.
i literally cannot do anything without the market app because there is no damn file manager installed.
even windows phones have a file manager. what the hell?
I don't know if it will help you but why not try the "debranding tutorial". With the tutorial you will be flashing an UK Rom via SEUS, in my opinion the market should be there after that.
-Bin4ry
ya the debranding idea came to mind because when i tried the SEUS it said my phone was up to date. but all i want to do is flash the UK or whatever version ontop of what i have. cant i copy the rom image to a flash and reset the device to flash?
reason being is this tutorial got me too confused. i downloaded the file and it had a 1 and a 2 subfiles in the zip. where to extract them and what to do? http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=195467
i did it on my htc magic...is it not possible with the x10?
SUCCESS!!!
the debranding got my market icon installed!!!
now ... how to get 2.1 android on lol
if you cant get SEUS to work this is what worked for me

I have a peloton Spin Bike, and it can with a screen where your able to stream workouts on through the companies subscription. The screen is operated by Android Jellybean: 4.1.1.
OK, so here's my challenge for anyone that,s willing to accept!
Problem: when you turn on the peloton bike screen your locked into the peloton app, and the you can't get out of the app to do other things... For example, watch YouTube or something else.
Challenge: I'm sure this is an easy hack, but if anyone can figure out how to unlock this. You be compensated for your efforts!
I'd love to be compensated for the effort, but really you can just Google the command sequence as it's pretty popular to install Netflix and watch movies rather than consume the Peloton content.
I successfully extracted the Peloton APK from the bike and installed it on my Galaxy S6. The issue is that it won't go past the login screen. I figure one of two things is happening. Either the app is calling a procedure to validate that hardware on the bike is working before logging in, or two, the Peloton server is validating the login request is coming from a bike instead of another device via a token or validation of operating system version, etc.
pretty simple to do, go to about section of the bike, tap on the lower right corner area of the about screen, which should take you out of the app into a main android area....after that open the browser, download apk installer and then download whatever apps you want to add to the tablet
hey guys, just bought a used peloton and have two really specific questions:
- has anyone reset all the data through settings? If so, what happens?
- I'm not seeing the invisible button that everyone is describing here and in other forums. I also have developer options on so I can see all of the hit areas. Am I missing something?
Thank you!

But once you are in the about screen, how do you download new software? I dont see an option anywhere to download. I only see the disable ap button.
My Peloton console won't go beyond searching for network if I use Wifi, or download updates if I use ethernet. I don't think it's a hardware failure and had been looking for a ROM to load it. Anyone backup their console? It's a first generation tablet running lollipop.
Any chance someone figured out how to do this with the Peloton Tread? Its running Android 7... I can get to APKmirror.com and click download, just feel like they went to an extra effort to hide / disable downloads... or maybe a way to side load via USB, I can't get a USB device to recognize...

If you connect via USB you can place the APK on the device. My only issue is that it wont install as its an unknown source and i am unable to allow unknown sources to install.
if youre on a peloton running nougat (android 7.0), from the login screen you can go to:
wifi (icon, top right) --> system settings --> legal (licenses etc.) --> and click any button that says homepage.
it will bring you up in a browser from which point you can download a third party launcher such as Nova and use it to display a stock android UX (homescreen). once you have this you might choose to download an apk for google play, or even just grab apks (app files) via google searches. (for example: google: Netflix android 7.0 apk --> then follow links to download).
This does not work for me. Clicking download does nothing. Any ideas.

I just got the bike the other day and tried through both downloading the app directly onto the peloton tablet (as you recommended) and through ADB, followed the instructions of this :
https://www.reddit.com/r/pelotoncycle/wiki/index/howto/root
but it would just "hang"
I then learnt to add -p when installing through ADB and discovered this error:
Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_UNEXPECTED_EXCEPTION: Failed to parse /data/app/vmdl1690417893.tmp/base.apk: AndroidManifest.xml]
I have tired using ADB to install the app on my android phone and it worked fine - which means it's not the app - I believe!
Please help!!!

You don't need active subscription to use apps that you have already installed. Sadly, The problem is most of the apps have new versions and old versions are deprecated within few months.

I don't have any charge issues. Just limited functionality. And I haven't had any luck transferring files via Bluetooth. I can link the watch to my Samsung S8 phone, share a file via Bluetooth from the phone, but the transfer always fails. I don't know if it's me, the phone or the watch.

It won't run on my Samsung Galaxy S8 either.
I hope someone figures out how to install the Google Play Store app on the watch. Aptoide is difficult to use for me.
Also, I noticed that when installing an app, the Install and Cancel buttons are almost not visible at the bottom of the screen. Is there a way to scroll/drag the screen?
Many of the icons are too small for my fingers. Is there a small stylus available anywhere that works with the watch? I installed Chrome so a stylus would help with using that as well.

There are new Versions of the Apps, for watch and Phone. Take a look at
my Postst #2, give them a try. For me it's working now.
Hello Backers,
The first software update is now available and it focuses on the data transfer between the watch and your smartphone app. For those that were having issues with the app and data transfer we’ve updated the software to allow for a better experience for transferring photos from the watch to your phone.
Cloud update services are not available at this time but please follow these simple instructions to update your watch:
1. Enable Bluetooth on smartwatch & phone.
2. Connect them with eachother.
3. Enable the installation from unknown source on your watch. (settings > security > unknown source)
4. Download http://arrowsmartwatch.ml/ on your computer.
5. Once the APK is on your computer, share it via Bluetooth to your Arrow Smartwatch. (if you don’t know, just google how to share files with Bluetooth, it’s very easy)
6. Once you’ve pressed the sharing button, you’ll have to accept the file on your watch.

This watch update was tested by a few beta testers within the backer community with good results. It should allow many of you that were having trouble to start transferring photos and videos from the watch to your phone. The next planned update will focuses on connectivity, apps and notifications.
As for the remaining Arrow inventory we continue to wait for Chinese customs to give us an answer on the status of our units. They said Chinese New Year would create a delay of up to a month or two so we will post an additional update soon outlining the details of this extremely frustrating and prolonged ordeal. Our goal remains to ship all remaining units to backers as soon as this custom issue is cleared.
Inquiries about the above can be sent to [email protected] as this is our primary contact method.

Thanks! Is this a new version of the OS? Or a customized version?
Hii! Not sure if people are still using the watch.. I took it out last week and again remembered why I packed it back. The battery drain is just insane!
Was anyone able to get a different OS version installed on the watch,,? Is it even possible? What are this risks?
What are my options to experiment?
I'm not sure of the reason, but the touch screen of my Yotaphone 2's e-ink stopped working. The e-ink screen itself visualises what it is supposed to, but it doesn't react to touches. The LED screen is OK. I thought this may be a software problem, so I did a factory reset that would probably eliminate it. It didn't, and the problem that I have now is that I can't even use the LED screen, because at startup it runs the tutorial, and the tutorial requires you to interact with the e-ink screen, which, in my case, is impossible, because it is not responsive to touches. So I never get to the "desktop" and the app launcher - the tutorial has to be completed. If I slide from the top rim I can get into Settings. I've tried stopping the process from the list of active apps, but it doesn't work. Anyone has an idea what to do?
I have the same issue yesterday and couldn't find a way to bypass the tutorial. As you I tried to kill the process via adb and didn't work. I also thought that there might be a place in the phone where the app checks to see if it has been run as it only runs the first time.
Two things to try:
1. Do you have the folder /data/data/com.yotadevices.yotaphone2.tutorial ? I see this in my phone so maybe it is created as a check. The folder is empty, you can try to create it as root to see if this bypasses?
2. Send the events via adb sendevent to the /dev/input/event4 or via input tap. You will need to calculate the coordinates somehow.
Good luck!

There was nothing I could do about it, but I found a workaround which would at least let me use the phone somehow. From the bottom side you can launch Google search and search for a popular android app, which will take you to the Play store. From then I installed Sidebar Lite by Mohammad Adib (probably other sidebar launchers would also work) and then the sidebar launcher works on top of the Tutorial and you can dock several apps in there.
Good day to everyone who has a disk image left WIMBoot for Asus Transformer Book T100TA who has please give it to me
The Transformer book t100ta is brilliant on windows 10 pro x86 btw,
(The T100TA needs to be charged over 19 or 20% i think before you do this but definately charged above)
Before you follow this advice I recommend heading to the Asus website for the drivers and bios updates as there is a bios update to make it compatible with windows 10. To update the bios with the t100TA you have to use the tool built into the bios settings which you should be able to access either via installing windows 10 first as a workaround and holding shift down from the windows login page and use the power options on the bottom right to restart whilst holding shift down. or i forget which button to bash when you switch it on lol.
After the bios update re-do the windows install and wipe partitions etc.
After you install it let it run the updates and install the optional device drivers except the sound ones I had issue with the windows update version and had to uninstall them and use the asus site windows 8.1 version. You'll also notice that there will be a driver that can not be found which is the bluetooth driver but i'll attach the drivers i used which will cover everything missed or needed (all from the asus website by the way switching between the windows 10 pull down menu and 8.1).
As for activation am sure your resourcefull to figure it out (CMD activation) original windows downloaded iso.
after you have installed windows I recommend running ChrisTitusTech (youtube) windows debloat script from his github page along with the ultimate windows tools to really strip windows down to a minimum which helps with the 2gig ram and processor usage reduction a lot and remember to set the updates to security only so its not downloading all windows junk aswell.
The script i forget which one will uninstall winget for installing packages but re-starting one of them will reinstall it again also choose custom debloat and read through what you do not need like all the xbox stuff, etc just leave windows store unchecked and winget unchecked
so it keeps them.
(it will make sense more once you run the scripts and watched the tutorials on ChrisTitusTech page)
Also some personal preference settings I like is no sound on virual keyboard press, no backround processes runnung, dark mode all the time and start in tablet mode when not docked (if you leave this off you can easily switch using touch screen by clicking on the right notifications next to clock and expand the options at the bottom to select tablet mode plus all your bluetooth options are there aswell as others for hotspot etc (not checked the hotspot yet on mine but it appears to be working as it turns on etc)
And as the last resort if you haven't removed the recovery partition the original windows 8.1 files should be there but really recommend doing the above
Also this is the results in the screenshots below from my T100TA after doing the complete debloat tutorials. Boot up time is less than 10seconds, apps response on touchscreen and mouse usages is excellent, videos in brave browser all play at 1080 and some for some reason play well at 1440 lol
This reads like a lot of work to do but the reality is once you have prepared and learnt what to expect (i've covered the bumps i had so make life a bit smoother for you) the whole process from start to finish can be done in less than hour and you will be using the T100TA at its best by the end of it.
Hope you do this and not try to get it back on 8.1 its horrible lol and get back to me with the results or if you need other advice on the steps, would be good to see how the devices compare up against each other we might be able to improve the results better for both of us
good luck and have fun as i'm currently doing so typing this on mine lol.
As a last resort if you've not wiped your recovery partition you might be able to set the partition attributes to have a drive letter assigned using cmd command DISKPART and copy the wmi file from there to a usb and use the other machine to rufus create an install usb
see above forgotten to press reply i think lol
