I assume that you are talking about settings (not sitting)
But to my knowledge you can't change that without root but you can always download other screen recording app from google play especially now when android 6 is supporting screen recording:good:

With defiuld scrin ricirding ipp thiri is ni wiy ti chinge thit sitting. XD
Sorry... couldn't resist.
Anyways, yeah. You can't change the length of the video recorded, but you could try other app for that.
Seriously though, you should proof read what you type before posting. This was funny as hell to read. XD

In-call recording app - any?

I would like to record calls automatically (both my voice and the caller's one).
Is there some app that can do this?
Thank you all for answering
sorry for being an Android noob, but too many years into WM...

Thank you for your fast reply
I took the time to read the comments of the users, and they were far from enthusiastic....
Have you tried the app yourself?
How did it worked for you?
No call recording apps work, they only ever record your side of the convo unless on speaker phone. It's something to do with an android limitation. Not sure why there's not been one for rooted devices though, I'd pay for that.

I'm looking for this too. I had even bought Ultimate Voice Recorder based on good experience of it on WinMo, but it wasn't until after more than a week of it running in the background, generating loads of .3gp files did I notice that they were all 0 bytes long.
Kind of ridiculous that this works on 1.5/1.6, but not on 2.x.
using totalrecall here, works beautifully!
@DomFel, are you using a Desire? great news if total recall works on it...
Deleted post
total recall works on desire?
Felt it was necessary to bump this one. I have tested Total recall but it clearly states that it will not record for +2.0 devices.
I'm getting some very unpleasant calls from even more unpleasant people, and desperately need to record calls. Got a great recorder on Winmo (Audio touch note). Is it really so that Winmo haves something that Android even cant support?? I would be surprised if this was so!
Please let me know if you have a working app.
so am i.
im looking for in-call recorder app.. keep me posted..
Hey guys
I am using vRecorder on my desire and it works. There are some annoying features though:
First time you open the app, it will ask you to donate. Just press 0$ and afterwards press the back-button.
The following times when you open the app, it will show you a "commercial" asking you if you want to check out other apps from the developer.
It records all calls (in- and out-going), so there is no record button. It just always records all calls (it is possible to exclude numbers though).
Hope it helps, and let me know if you guys find a better app
Just tried vRecorder and it records my voice but not the other's. Other than that it's great
at mine there was a pre installed in call recorder...but its only called in-call recorder...nothing else..its build by HTC
Just tried vRecorder when I set up a new voicemail greeting. It recorded both sides and it was really good, but then it went rubbish. I worked out why-it's only recording from the microphone and first part when it was good was when I had it on speakerphone. It went really quiet after that, and was only audible as I was in a quiet room and my volume is high. Uninstalled...
Read this http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=2117
Dont forget to star the issue.
So is there any info if this issue will be fixed in Froyo? Or if an app for a rooted Desire have turned up?
Total Recall dont work on my desire 2.2...

Samsung Galaxy s i9000 Mic sensitivity recording

This is my first samsung. And I think i'm a bit spoiled as a nokia n900 user. But the recorded sound on my samsung galaxy is just horrible in comparison to my n900.
Last night I went to a show of cypress hill here in the Netherlands. And started recording. The video quality is super. Only the noise makes it almost impossible to distinguish any of the songs etc. I mean really horrible.
After some research i found out that users with the samsung omnia had this same issue, and they found a solution wich was adjusting some settings in the hidden menu of the phone.
Is it also possible to adjust these settings in the galaxy s i9000?
Below are the settings for the omnia hd reducing
with phonepad digit *#0002*28346#
then 3) Record
then 04) CamcordARM_AMR (this is volume gain in video record)
Go to
TxMicAmp : 24
digit 18#
and then when you go back will see
TxMicAmp : 25
Then go to
Tx Channel: 18
digit 18#
and then when you go back will see
Tx Channel: 18
To save all changes go back back
6)Backup and will show "Backup OK"
Yeah I noticed the heavy clipping (sounds like static, noise, distortion) in all of the Galaxy S recordings. I haven't really seen anyone else mention it.
However the Omina HD runs Windows Mobile does it not? Totally different OS there..
this should show that menu *#197238640#
Any luck with this? I have opened the service menu, but no idea what to do after that.
i also would like a fix for this!

I got the same problem when I try to run VOIP application. The noise is so terrible. I can enter "service mode", but I don't know how to setup them either.
Same here, video recording is quite useless like this... Went to a concert last evening and video is great but sound is ultimate crap! As in one big pile of noise.
But also when recording a video in the car, with just the radio on, is stretching it... It is at least possible to distinguish different sounds but already distorted.
Such a shame! Any fix for this would be great (and couldn't find much in the servicemode settings unfortunately).
I'm using the JM2 firmware and the sound of recorded videos is poor.
I wish we found the solution, as I had found on i8910
Meh, contacted samsung helpdesk (mail) and got a standard response
'We are currently developing a firmware update, please keep an eye out for it on the samsung website'. (translated from dutch ).
My guess is the firmware update won't fix a thing since it's still present in JM2 but we'll see.

In other words: keep waiting. Saying it will be fixed in next release is the best way to keep customers happy without doing anything
But on the other side maybe with 2. 2 it will be fixed.

Yup, I know... But what can you do. They prolly also don't know much about the technical stuff.
At least there's a new firmware coming up, I think I'll give JP3 another shot and see if things have improved there.
Hey guys,
anyone tried playing with *#*#197328640#*#* => audio => handset => diamond solution => voice booster? or acoustic shock free? sounds like something related to me, gonna try.

that's a good tip
can more people confirm if this optimization works well?
if so, then we can put this as a sticky / FAQ / wiki
Disregard my post about Diamond solution, it's for headphones. I'm pretty sure some parts of the service menu => audio => handset could be tweaked to make audio recording better, just need someone who knows what means what.
There is a way to alter the recording volume during the recording however it requires adb shell and it only lasts for the duration of the remainder of the recording.

That's something at least, wanna share that?
Also I found a quick and dirty workaround if you wanna record some music before some kind of fix appears - just put your finger on the mic hole while recording ^^

Calls Recorder For GS2?

Hi I am using GS2 for a long time.. I need to record my calls as part of my work. I have tried some apps for recording calls but from some reason they don't record the call in High Quality from both sides of the call. Does anyone know a good app that can really record the call the same way it sounds?
thank you so much for your help

I don't beleave there is a good working call recorder for SGS or SGS2 out there, as Samsung blocked this function in StockRoms.
There are some apps out there trying to make this work re-catching the mic signal by themselves but they don't get access to the binary speaker signal within the firmware function as it was e.g. possible on some HTC or old Nokia phones.
It's not that they're not working but the signal quality is very bad.

[Q] Underwater Photography?

Hi I am looking forward to taking my S5 with me on Holiday and looking to take some underwater pictures and videos I understand there are certain ways for this to be achieved I'm currently on x-note rom rooted,
I can take pictures with the volume buttons but it seems I have to start a video out of the water and then hope that the video does not stop when the water hits the screen.
My question is, Is there anyway of changing this so I could use one of the volume keys to start and stop a video? Also a way to disable the stop recording button on screen as it seems the water hits that sometimes and stops recording.

Im not sure about video, but you can use a remote camera controller to take photos underwater. You can even do it with another smart phone. Just Google "remote camera app" and you'll be able to find what you need.

If both phones are Samsung made, just have to use the built in remote viewfinder on the camera app.

[GUIDE]Call recording in Moto G - Both side being recorded ! [Root]

Hey guys,
After a lot of testing , I have come across the perfect call recorder for Moto G ( Root Needed ).
It is recording both the sides very clearly.
It is Ad free and very easy to use.
The only downside is that the Auto Call record feature is only available in the PRO version ...
But we can record the calls manually, that too very easily using this app.
Guide to install and set it up :
Download the Boldbeast Call recorder from Google play or this link.
In settings , Open Call settings
In record mode , Select 'Mode 1'
Grand SuperUser permission when prompted and that it !
You should be having a perfectly working call recorder .
To record the calls , Just tap the White and Red Button that you can see on the Call screen when you are making/receiving a call...
If there are any issues , try testing other modes .
Don't forget to hit the 'Thanks Button !" ...:good:
Thank so much. it really work.
I'm pretty sure there could be legal issues with this unless the other side has been warned that it's being recorded.

Not everybody lives in the US.
I'm not form US but still i don't allow to record me during phone call. I don't get why peoples are so obsessed with call recording. If you don't have something to hide you dont need to record anything, or you are just so scared about something that you have to record call - you really are paranoid person. Seriously.
Not working XT1033......

Going slightly offtopic, but it is mighty useful to be able record calls containing some information you need to recall later, e.g. calls relating to work, as note taking during a phone call is not always an option.
