Multi-touch Samsun j5 - Samsung Galaxy J5 Questions & Answers

Would that such guys, have you noticed that on the Samsung j5 2015 multi - touch only works with 2 fingers?, good that functions with all 10 fingers, would not be if I allow myself to understand, is that they can help me to solve this problem?, is the agradeceria muchisimo... until then.

^sorry for your bad english but i can read it
yes the j5 has only 2 multitouch points and i dont think you can make it 10, but i dont know

We can't make the multitouch with 10 fingers, because it is hardware-related.

J5 2016 has 10 multitouch points

there will be some solution??

I think yes. I read just like this in xda about multi touch on Samsungs. They say. Samsung touch smallest limit is up to 3 touches but it can add upto 10 or 5. But only for CM firmwares not stock ones.
I forgot its thread but you can find it here in xda.

S-Memo etc porting to another phone?

Hello,
I always wanted a device where i can write with precision anything i want instantly just like i do on paper, and hence i really finding note very useful but the size is making me think twice and hence, I was wondering if it can ever be possible to port things like Memo and note taking applications of the galaxy note to other samsung devices like SGS2 HD Etc..
Also, if i buy a capacitive pen for SGS2 and download any note taking application frm android market can it function close to G.Note?
I have heard samsung will be releasing SDK for Note in december - So will it enable developers to make similar note taking application for other samsung devices ?
PS: Am sry if i had chosen the wrong section to post this.
The Note has a special touch screen for use with the S-pen. So I guess you have to use a normal capacitive pen with any free note app from the market. But the S memo works with finger input too so u should be able to use it with any capacitiv pen.
Try "note everything", free on market...?

The Note has a special layer on the screen with the possibility to use the S Pen. The Galaxy S2 does not have support for the S Pen, and also not for other pencils/stylus. So you won't be able to use something like a S Pen on your Galaxy S2.
well GS2 can be used with a stylus, have a look at the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpr4s_VCMno&feature=related
Am not sure if notes taking can be done on GS2 as easily as on Note, perhaps some expert can enlighten me.
The note has a Wacom digitizer, the touchscreen does not function at all when using the S-pen... although a capacitive stylus can be used with other devices, in my experience they are next to useless, especially compared to SGN - maybe the size puts you off, but after a couple of weeks with SGN it feels a natural size now!

+1, Correct
I think in other device use stylus/finger is same
Yes tht wht i had the confusion, tht a phone that doesnt have digitizer can write notes properly like a physical pen+paper.... But i guess Not!
i will be havin a demo of the Note tomm. and i hope i will find it comfortable sitting in my jeans!
I've wanted to use a stylus to write on a pda since windows mobile days where i was sadly disappointed, but the SGN is the first device i have owned that fulfilled my expectations - even the realtime text recognition is surprisingly good!

It's called a Camera driver.
I installed CameraNext by CM on my Note 3 to confirm this.
Our sensor and hardware is more than capable thought, can't they just force the resolution?

Tell them to fix the video driver that causes the random reboots. Due to the hlte unification, they didn't bother.
The Note 3 isn't progressing quick at all in the CM/AOSP aspect, as people tend to buy the Note 3 for the Pen features.
The camera driver is most likely closed source and CM had to create one for the device - as usual.
The note uses the sony sensor, so surely they can find proper drivers, I guess its harder than it sounds.

So the random reboot problem on every single AOSP/CM ROM is up to missing proper video drivers? That explains a lot...
Yeah, people buy the Note III for the S-Pen features. Was one of the reasons I got it. But I remember when I had the Note II even on CM/AOSP you could have almost every S-Pen Feature that came with TW. Either by integrated ROM support or by apps like GMD S-Pen Control, CM Note Buddy S-Pen helper, Papyrus etc. Once I installed Paranoid Android on my Note II I never used a TW ROM again. It worked without any problem and I don't remember random reboots. The development on the Note II was awesome despite it had the Exynos processor with lacking drivers and dev support. I expected the Note III to have a better or at least similar development community since it has a Qualcomm processor. But what I see is millions of TW ROMs that are all basically the same. Kernel development is awesome!

fingripint scanner in note 3

someone new how to get fingrprint scanner on note 3 ??
Impossible
That's impossible because Note 3 don't have that hardware.
impossible
You cant because it needs a hardware which isnt present in Note 3.
Im not sure but i guess that could be possible but only with the screen on because note 3 doesnt has the hardware so we could use a programm but i dont think that it does excist

The screen registers touches, not shapes. It can't detect the shape of a fingerprint's lines. It's not possible.

1st samsung, considering note4, noob questions .)

Hello all note4 users
considering note 4 - to get as new phone
why note - because of spen
why note4 - because easy qi charging, replaceable battery, sd card, maybe because of IR
the question is (for now) - are there any disadvantages of using root on note 4 ?
i know advantages, but dunno if i dont get something wrong when i root the phone ?
i mean disfunction of some spen apps - i will use spen for all wacom advantages, not only as finger replacement.
thx for answers
and second one - which "smart"watch u use with note 4?
thx again
sorry for my english

Disadvantages of root is, loss of warranty, even if u flash the stock rom, u will never reclaim it.
Other than that, there is no disadvantage.
i use moto 360 2nd gen.
thx for answer
and u use any other rom or stock ?
thx again.)

I will root and flash custom after 6.0.1,if samsung dont update tw with theme engine and new camera api

An important disadvantage when rooting is the loss of the Knox container

ok, last 2 phones to consider - note 4 or lumia 950xl
what i want : wireless charging (i know note4 has not native)
good photo camera
replaceable battery
bonuses of android: root, have a lot of payed apps, ofc the reason for note - spen
bonuses of wm: new of (for me) - "native" run (no java vm)
something new to learn, iris scanner
continuum ? (i know it is cannot run native x86 apps), but is it advantage ?
so..what u think its better for me ?
thx for answers
Go for Lg g5 or lg v10, Note 4 has aged now.
Unless you need to root your device, because you work as a sofware developer and need your device to be root so you can take advantage of those abilities. You don't need to root your device. As stated before it will void your manufacturers warrenty on your device.
I got my Note 4 N910C shortly after the SGS6 series was released and after the Note 5 specs were released. I have absolutely no regrets in getting it as it will probably last me a good few years before I need to upgrade.
in country i live is N910F, but root is what i want...

Until Samsung release another Note series with replaceable battery Note 4 is your only choice considering you want S-Pen & replaceable battery.
Note 4 is still a good device & now the price has dropped quite a lot.

Comparing to the G5 yes it has aged. Comparing to the V10? Oh no it didn't, Note 4 still has better performance than the V10.
Note 4 is the only phone I have had for more than a year, does everything I need and more, and for the age it still performs great
It's a great phone but a huge disadvantage that has not been mentioned is its stock dpi.
It ships with 640 dpi as default which makes the GUI incredibly huge and annoying. You can use adb to change it, but most stock apps do not scale with a custom dpi.
On dpi, I guess it totally depends on user preference. For me 640 dpi is best as i don't like small fonts which are hard to read. With small fonts I have to wear my reading glass every time.
ok, i order note 4
now i need to have look at case and glass .)

I hope you will enjoy your new toy when it arrives!
Disadvantage is you miss most of spen functionality in CM roms, otherwise TW customs roms are good.
i hope i will
u know how it is
to root or not to root ? dont know if i need knox...but.. i think i need warranty
i dont want another rom - i want use spen features ) but i think there will be nova launcher... we will see what it can do when it comes
but i need root for some applications and some customizations.)
ok..there is a lot of alternative apps for almost same functionality without root..but not all
and neeed/really want QI charger - any tip for "best one" but not those which make a lot of heat - functional with another case .)

Lol true. There's absolutely no point in decreasing DPI after a certain limit. Most think that it's great, but you can bet that all of them have to shrink their eyes a bit to adjust to their small DPI, or keep the phone closer than before to your eyes, I'm talking about people with near perfect to perfect vision.
And Note 4 I think has actually decreased the stock DPI in comparison with Note 3. 640 should be near perfect fort most people, I use 600 anyway, and this is where I don't have to shrink my eyes, or put on my glass, or make any alterations in comparison with stock DPI. Love your eyes, not the more screen area.
And there's App Settings of Xposed with which you can restore the Samsung's stock apps' DPI to default, while keeping a lower valued DPI system wide.

Keep dreaming. I don't see a Note 5 with replaceable battery in a near future. Note6 will probably have Expandable storage but thats it.

Redmi note 7 ans touch issue

I found a good deal to buy redmi note 7 but i m little worried about touch issue (edge of thé phone ans keyboard).does custom roms fix the problem or not
I got no touch issues on mine? Unless it's like a 1 in 1000 possibility like with the different screen panels...
