Do not! Buy no.1 watches - Other SmartWatches

I've recently bought the d5 plus
And its a horrible watch
The battery is pure no more than 4 hours of standby (yes standby)
You can't use it with sim
It's getting overly hot, burning hot!
The firmware is the shi*yest firmware I've ever seen, and more.
I've even mailed (after I found how) to no.1 company
But they don't really care about their customers try to find their "customers care".
Shortly I will recommend this watches.
X5 plus
X3 plus
Or
iqi i2
Iqi i3
Please post it in every forum you know maybe this shi*y company will wake up.
Thanks

Did you try a factory reset?
My No.1 D6 is the best smartwatch I've ever had.

No problems on my D5+ with original firmware and the firmware from X3+.

New watches from zgpax the s99 and the s83

it seems that smartwatches start to come out with lolipop instead of kitkat.

http://www.zgpax.com/androidwatch/41-54.html
the question is: does it have a good battery life as D5\K18......?
With all that extra kit (camera, flash card & micro usb port) it's only got the same battery rating as the K8/D5/X1 - I don't see how it could last very long.
It must be very chunky in size as well I'm guessing....

if it is going to be as the thickness of the s8 then not that thick BUT if it is going to be as the s82 then yes it is going to be chunky, i also wonder about the battery life the s8 and s82 had terrible battery life when i used activity tracking apps and notifications apps or even just BT the battery did'nt last more then 6 hours :\

On the site they have released pics of the side. Seems to have the same 470mha battery. After pondering over the s8 or no.1 d5 (that goes out the window now with these running lollipop) I will ponder over the s83 or s99. I like the design of the s83. I have contacted them there at zgpax and they have said its not been released yet. It has a tf(sd) card slot and play store. They will let me know when released.

it is better you wait for someone else to buy it to see if it has synchronization app and what are the tracking activity apps it has, the s82 has 700 mAh and still did'nt last a day with usage and BT drained the battery really fast less than 2 hours, that is why i love so much the D5 even with heavy usage it last more than 10 hours and that's alot. i like the idea of sd card slot but not if it will be chunky and the battery life is the same as the other ones.

Of course I will not buy it now. Although I won't be using it for synchronization and not really the whole day. It will be my primary phone. I would have got the d5 but the lack of a sd card slot blew it for me. As I said its gonna be my primary phone. Hope someone gets it soon and reviews!
They're basically the same thing, but I think s83 is better, since it has it's camera on the front rather than the side. Buuuuut, it still looks tilted upwards, so I'm not sure.
It would be a HUUUUUUGE plus if they didn't have antenna in their bands anymore. I broke mine on the s8 and had to solder the piece of crap together with the antenna from s29.
Also, the touchscreen inaccuracy was really annoying, and I hope they fixed it.

The S82 has not 700 mh battery. I have one and a second battery, and have 500. The problem its that they said 700 but i think they had problems with battery and because of this they mount only 500. In many shops they yet say 700 but not.
The problems with ZGPAX S82 I had:
- Support: zero. Even they not respond any mail.
- Battery: not show the real percent so you can have 50% an in a few minutes down to 15%.
- Gps: lost a lot of sattelites or signal when you put on. Impossible use it like navigator to drive.
- Touch response: a few inacurate.
- Screen rotate: in many apps its impossible put it ok.

Hi,
I hope you can all help me. I run a company in the UK that rebrand Chinese products and bring them to market in Europe. My brand is called Superspot, and in the past we have made powerbanks, speakers, products for PS4 and more. They can be found for sale on Amazon, Mobile Fun and other sites in the UK.
However now we are considering taking the leap into smartwatches. I have read this thread with interest as two of the watches we are being offered are the i2 and s99.
Our preference at the moment is to go with the s99. This would see us rebrand the watch to our own brand, and in all likelihood we would rebox it, rewrite the manual, and generally tidy the product up so it was fit for 'western' consumption. We have had conversations with the manufacturers and at the moment they seem to be able to produce what we are looking for. Our sole route to market is through online platforms such as those mentioned above.
I wondered if you would be so good as to tell me your opinions on what the s99 is supposed to be able to do. Why would you buy or not buy this watch compared to others on the market? Would you spend $200 on this watch (£140) if it came with a years guarantee and was protected through Amazon etc? Why this watch and not a Gear S, swr50, LG Urbane, Moto 360? Do people really want a watch with sim-card functionality?
Also I would be interested to know opinion on a watch running full Android 5.1 lollipop as the s99 does. Does anyone have experience of how apps 'fit' onto the watch?
We are also being offered a myriad of colours, and we are tempted to go for various options including reds and oranges, as it seems to us a lot of smartwatches are going down the basic black or brown route. We want to offer something that looks different, is this a wise decision?
Finally we have the option of making the s99 with 8GB capacity instead of the standard 4GB. Would this be advantageous to the user?
I know this is a lot of questions, and I am a little worried about how this will be received (I've seen comments about rebranders on this thread!!!!), but ANY feedback will be gratefully received.
Many thanks in advance,
Seb

i think it is better to ask on the thread of no.1 d5 and i2 and kingwear and finow q1 and on k18\k8 mini and k9 and x5 and x3 ppl who used more than just one watch. about the s99 no one has it yet so you wo'nt get any info about it from here. i brought all thread because many here change the watch if the find one that is better than what they have (as i do even though i love the D5), the standalone watches are better choices because they can be used without the need of the phone around.

Lemfo LES1 1GB / 16GB with camera Smartphone- Watch

Hello @all,
This week I ordered the Lemfo LES1.
It's in Presale now.
So far I weared the Kw88 because it had a camera.
After this I weared the lem 5 because it had much more memory, but no camera.
The ourtime is to big and have only dualcore and Android 4.
So i thought I have to wait much more.
But.....
So i decided know for lemfo les1!
Short it have a cam and 16 GB RAM
Here are the features
* 1.39" OLED Round Display 400*400 in resolution
* MTK6580 quad core Processor
* RAM 1GB + 16GB in flash
* OS Android 5.1
* Bluetooth / GPS / WiFi Supported
* Frequency Band: 2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 3G: WCDMA 850 / 2100
* 2.0MP Camera, Heart Rate Monitor, Pedometer
* 350 mAh for battery
* Available with iOS Smart Phone and Android Smart Phone for connection to get notification for incoming message and notification for phone call
* Wake up by gesture
* As many as 50 Styles of Clock Mode
Worse is the 350 mAh Accu 450 mAh instead.
Because all Smartphones -watches going 6-8 ours worth 450mAh perhaps.
But 350 mAh I don't no.
I will tell you!
Yeah, SmartWatchTicks just uploaded a mini review/hands on with the LES1. Youtube LEMFO LES1 It looks cool, but I wish it were like the Y3 withe the screen that goes edge to edge. But the RAM and the ROM are interesting. I'll wait until there are a few more reviews and then decide whether I want to jump on it.
Yes, I saw it to... Very nice watch, seems to be a little bit like the KW88 but much more memory.
Only the Batterie
So I want switch of WiFi,Bluetooth GPS and all this thinks but...
...now I'm looking forward to downgrade the Quadcore into a dualcore (make sleep the other prozessors) I read about this.
So I hope the watch will work for 8-10 hours or more perhaps .
Has anyone an idea how to do this?
Maybe with root booster in playstore?
Maybe with Quadcore Prozessor booster?
or something else?
Or any other ideas?
Question is how bad will the battery life be? Is it gonna be plain bad or tragic?
If the watch could last for 6 hours with 3G and GPS and BT on i would definetely give it a try.

@gidi :
So bad like you described... A little bit more bad.
3G and Bluetooth will give the battery only 6 ours. I tried before with lemfo lem 5.
I know the display sucks most battery two.
But I think the Samsung Gear s3 can hold 2 days, so the Lemfo can too if modd it.
If they would just make a watch that has the below I would be happy!
Dual Core 1.3ghz
Amoled
Multi-Touch
1GB/8GB
NO CAMERA
Android 5.1
Tmobile band in US
There must be a surplus of cameras..I can't understand the use of a crappy camera pointed sideways on a watch.. If it were at least on the face you could use for Skype..

This watch looks very interesting, but I'm wondering how the battery holds up.
How long does the battery lasts ?
I'm not planning to use a simcard, but is it possible to make calls on the watch when only paired with BT ?

In the video of smartwatch ticks it was tested and described with normal use.
With that are 12 hours are possible normally.
If you use BT,WLAN and all this, maybe are 5- 6 hours are realising.
Smartwatch ticks have a video for answer this
Yes, my Lemfo LES1 is on the way now! I'm so happy!!!

omg sold out , ahhh
I saw this on smartwatch ticks and ordered it from aliexpress (thanks to one of the commenters who posted the sale price on Youtube - thank you if you are reading this!) . Paid for expedited shipping and got it yesterday!
It's a very nice watch in terms of built quality, but the software is a bit off. The time was off by 12 hours, and it took a lot of tinkering to have it show the correct time 9:00 (meaning AM) instead of 21:00!). It also recorded 2000 steps while I was sleeping, so forget about the pedometer.
It is super comfortable to wear: slimmer profile than my Gear 1 and LG watch Urbane 2 LTE, more light weight, the watchband is more flexible, the buckle design doesn't dig in. The camera is sht in low light settings, but I will only use it outdoors anyway, as I got it for running.
The screen is not bad, but does not compare to my LG, even though it is presumably OLED and 400x400.
Not yet tested: battery life, GPS, 3G. Most important for me is battery life with GPS tracking on and Tunein streaming.
Eagerly waiting for your review. I also own the LG urbane 2 LTE and have ordered the Les 1.
What I care most about is battery life with 3G/2G and GPS on.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Will take it for a spin on the trails in a few hours. The attached pic should explain why it's more comfortable to wear than the LG, though the LG never bothered me in the year and a half that it's been sitting on my (small) wrist.

Looks rather good on the wrist. The LG does not sit really comfortably.

Which Wear OS watch to get for 2019?

My Pebble Time has been on it's last legs for a while but I held out last year hoping that they'd release a Pixel Watch but they never did. Then I heard about the Snapdragon 3100 chip and that a ton of watches would follow once that was released but that never did (I think Fossil Sport was the only watch that came out). However, my Pebble Time has now completely given up the ghost and I'm watchless. I was hoping to string it out until later this year as there are again more rumours that the Pixel Watch will come out this year. If I was to get a watch today then I think the best watch is Huawei Watch 2 Sport but this is over 2 years old now and I'm worried that it won't be supported much longer so it would be a terrible time to buy. How strong is the thinking that the Pixel Watch will come out this year? Where are all the watches that were supposed to come with the 3100 chip? I have a non-smart watch that I can use to tie me over for a few months but only if I can get something in 2019.
Thoughts?
The Montblanc Summit 2 has a 3100. But it's also $1100... I'd gladly wear one but I don't think I'd buy it. I did the same searching a while back. I think the Falster 2 might be a 3100 too and looked pretty reasonable. I ended up buying a small cheap MTK watch to play with for the moment. Which kind of works but isn't in the same league...
I have almost all Wear Watch (and also pebble) but I think the last is the better : Ticwatch Pro. Better battery life for all Wear Watch even better than my Huawei 2. About 2% by hour when all others have at least 3.5-4.5% by hour. So real 2 days battery life and can charge the 3rd days. Big, big point is also the real LCD screen (FSTN) for always ON mode. So it is always ON like the pebble and no light emmitted by the watch.
Actually i'm a Fossil Smartwatch Gen. 4 user and it's awesome from all the way. I don't why any topic exists in here. It has heart rate function, built-in GPS and a premium design with a good price
For 3100 i think it's very expensive now, my next watch will be a 3100 one, also i'm thinking to buy again a Fossil. There was rumors that Google will work with Fossil on next smartwatches and that made me glad about it.
none ...wear os is garbage
I also had the Pebble Time Steel which was killed after I entered a salt water pool with it.
After a few month of walking with a "normal" watch I bought a Fossil Q Explorist Gen 4. which is based on the 2100 cpu.
I thought about getting the Fossil Sport which has the 3100 cpu for the same price, but the Q looks much better.
I get over a day of battery with always on display, wifi and bluetooth on, and with the periodic heart rate monitoring.
I use it mostly for showing the time and for notifications. Despite all the reviews trashing Wear OS, I must say I disagree and I like this watch.
I got it for $200 which is much cheaper than Apple and Samsung (the Pebble was $350!) and i wouldn't think twice for buying it

I second this.
Currently using TicWatch Pro for weeks, and very happy with it.
If you can splurge some budget, I can also recommend Casio ProTrek WSD-F30 which, like TicWatch Pro, also has dual layer display.
Tough it has twice the price, the added protection and features really worth your money.

Sorry to tell you,
Android Wear is dead.
And so is it's pathetic tiles update.
Buy a Samsung watch.
I finally came to this realization when I caught myself trying to fix the shortcomings of my Ticwatch s using Tasker, IFttt and and another app.
When you wear a Galaxy watch, after wearing a Wear watch for some time, you instantly feel the difference. It's like driving a Mustang while all you did in your life was walking ...
Watches with SIM cards
I have never seen much purpose in a phone-dependent watch, much like the Bluetooth earpiece I quit carrying after less than a year (back in 2006), why do we want ANOTHER thing to schlep around, charge, etc.?
However, a number of smart watch phones have come out which handle 4G SIM cards making them phone-independent, and I _can_ see a use case for leaving the bulky phablet phone home and wearing a (bulky) watch instead.
Sort of at random, I got a Kingwear KC05 4G 8MP Camera IP67 Waterproof WIFI GPS Smart Watch Phone, and it's a nice quality piece, particularly for the price, but as mentioned above, even though it runs full Android 7.1.1 and doesn't need to pair to a tablet phone for anything, it's pretty hard to navigate the super high DPI round touchscreen, though I am surprised how easy the on-screen keyboard is to use accurately.
Any other smart-watch-phone experiences out there to share?

The common conception is that Ford introduced the Mustang in 1964 to incredible success, and the folks at arch-rival Chevrolet simply copied the concept to unveil the Camaro in 1966 for the 1967 model year. Fact is, though, the story is not quite as simple as that. americanrodeo dot com/story/12690615/the-origin-of-the-chevrolet-camaro
For what I do,a connected watch is a must. Live being able to see messages, control music devices and other things like that when I can't have my phone in my hand. It's fantatsic.
Are you using your Galaxy Watch with a non-Sammy device? My incomplete understanding is that the Samsung framework is required in a phone for full functionality of their watches.

I just bought the ticwatch pro, it’s bothering me the lag in ui response. I can only hope that it’s sorting itself out being new, and will improve with time.
Maybe I should return while I still can, that falster 2 isn’t much more expensive...

There's lag? I just picked up a 2nd hand Huawei Watch 2 for £70 and it's quite laggy. I was going to go for the Pro but it's £220,im glad I didn't now!

This makes me smile.
I just grabbed the Fossil Explorer... This is my first non-Samsung smartwatch and so it's a bit different. WearOS is cool, but I've noticed it's slow to completely boot ( 2 minutes or so ) and not as buttery smooth as the Tizen OS. The OOB experience was great right up to the point of updates... sweet Jesus that was a horrific experience as the watch slowed down, had incredibly long response times and was generally frustrating until they all got done.... that was done being waded through, things got much much better... the integration of Google things is spot on and really nice to have and works really well. The gesture system is good, if somewhat quirky ( I think most of this is because I'm used to the Samsung gestures and just need to get used to the WearOS way ) . the screen is great, it charges quickly and looks terrific. I'd say consider this model if you're in the market. If you can survive the initial updating, you'll like it a lot.
Fossil Generation 5 is the best in 2019
Do not listen to trolls that visit an Wear OS board just to say the Galaxy Watch is better or Wear OS is dead.
Galaxy Watch requires you to add Samsung bloat to non Samsung devices, and it is expensive.
Me personally I would not buy a watch without Google Pay.
The Snapdragon 3100 is fast.
It has more internal memory than pass devices
and excellent battery life,
After 4.5 years running Wear OS on my Moto 360 (gen 2) the battery finally died, so I decided it was time to upgrade. I just bought the Fossil Carlyle HR (gen 5). Only had the watch for 2 days, but I love this watch! Great design, runs quick, charges quick, battery lasts a couple days or more depending on your settings, and the addition of having Google Pay in my watch is a game changer.

I concur. My new Gen 5 is a beast. I do admit the Samsung Gear Sport I had was a real smooth watch. The issue with the Samsung is that it died after 4 months. Samsung does not put the serial number on the watch. Since I had thrown the box away, Samsung told me I was SOL. What that means for me. No matter how good a Samsung product seams to be. I still will not buy it because there business practice and customer service down right sucks.

Replacement smart watch

My first gen LG urbane has finally bitten the dust. Ultra slow and unresponsive I've decided to upgrade. I thought it would be dead simple. It's turning out to be quite the opposite.
I was originally looking at the new tic watches which brought me onto the topic of the processors running them. The old 2100 in any device seems to be the wrong choice which then brought me onto the 3100. The devices seem to get slated.
So this then brought me to the galaxy watch. Looks great and even had a play around with one. My concern with this though is how would it handle notifications like what's App and outlook?
As you can see I'm stuck in a loop. What would you all suggest?

There is almost no visible improvement from W2100 to W3100, as I have commented here : https://www.xda-developers.com/ticwatch-pro-4g-lte-launch/
So if I need a WearOS watch right now, I would just pick any older watch if it has reasonable price and still cover all the feature I need. I choose Ticwatch E 4 months ago, even though knowing that E2 is almost available already at the time of buying. E2 is more expensive and missing some of the feature from E. The scarcity of the WearOS here also bump the price even higher.
Galaxy Watch is not WearOS powered, it is tizen. If you really go for it, it is better to continue in smartwatch subforum. If you don't have any OS preference, you can freely to choose other OS. I already stuck (fall in love) with WearOS because of Automagic, so I won't move away from WearOS.
Try the Fossil Carlyle HR. I just bought this watch and it is quick.
Ticwatch Pro 3!
Yes, maybe the Ticwatch Pro 3...

What smart watch to buy?

I never bought a smart watch in the past but am interested in doing so now. What's the best bang-for-the-buck smart watch I can buy? I use a Samsung Galaxy Android phone so I'm guessing an Apple Watch is off the list. I would prefer one that has a heart rate monitor and all the standard sensors.
TIA for your help.

Thanks but those are a lot of smart watches! It wouldn't really help me narrow it down to one because they're not comparison videos.

Is it pretty natural to think that since I'm a samsung galaxy phone user, their smart watch is the most logical thing to go with?
Yes, it is a much smoother coexistence...

To be honest, I do not think there is one, not one, Smartwatch /Band that is at this moment 100% recommendable. The Fitbit Sense seems to have every single sensor you could possibly ever want or need but everything I have read says it is way to buggy to be worth the price and they have a Fitbit Premium Plan at $10 a month that I think should be included in the price of the watch since it one of the more expensive watches out there. That and I just don't do the monthly plan stuff for anyone.
Samsung is a big company and has a good reputation but it looks like the latest updates to their watches has disables some of the new features, at least for US users: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83816129&postcount=3088
I also waited for the Amaxfit X for many months as it looks cool but have since cancelled that as it seems way to buggy and most have had nothing but issues with it.
I have read or watched on Youtube just about every review on every device out there and not one ticks all the boxes of what would make a perfect smartwatch or band. Most of the garbage out there is made in China and the software that you have load on the phone to pair the watch with is questionable. Also it seems you have a 50/50 chance of getting a good or bad device if it is made in China. I am not saying that all are bad from China but you really need to research it and look at reviews to see if it is reliable and what the companion software is accessing on your phone.
The Withings Scanwatch: https://www.withings.com/us/en/scanwatch seems like a nice one but with such a small display and not temp sensor for the very high price I do not think it is for me as I am getting up there in the years and my eyes are not what they used to be. I need a bigger display with large fonts to be able to read my data.
It really boils down to what you need on your wrist. Like I said I am older so I would like ECG/BP/SPo2 with Sleep Apnea detection and with Covid a temp sensor all on an easy to read display that can last a week of real time use, not what the manufacture claims but real life use. And I can tell you said Smartwatch/Band does not exist at this moment.
The good news is new devices seem to be coming out on a daily bases so who knows, maybe one will be release very soon that checks all the boxes that I am looking for!
Good luck on your search and lets us know which you end up getting! :highfive:
First you must choose between "Tracker" or "Smartwatch" ?
Smartwatch battery life about 3 days max (Like Samsung Galaxy watch)
Tracker between 1 and 2 weeks. (Like Huawei or Amazfit watch)

Most of the features of a Tracker are already in a Smartwatch, right? I would pick a Smartwatch even though it has less battery life.

Argh, ok This is going to be a hard and long research then. I'm targeting Black Friday to buy one if they ever have sales. I hope I can find one that I like before then.
I must say, the Amazfit X does look cool indeed. Are they continuously fixing things with firmware updates?
there's also the 11.11 sale on aliexpress, gearbest, banggood etc.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/amazfit/amazfit-x-t4164887
That is also my plan for Black Friday. The Honor Band 6 is going to be announced this Tuesday so I am keeping an eye on it.

Not really, almost all smartwatch are really POOR tracker. Main default is the sleep tracking, and for track 24/24 we need a not bad battery to keep watch days and night.
95% of the tracker series are really almost 0 smart.
Almost all Chinese tracker are bad tracker.
Stay maybe 2 brands witch are good tracker : Fitbit and Garmin. This 2 brands are also not very good but enough good Smart Thing. Smart mean app store Fitbit has an app store for the Versa series and Garmin has also an app store for most of his tracker Forerunner/Fenix/Vivoactive.
Samsung not bad has tracker and just correct has smartwatch.
Amazfit almost 0 for smart and rather bad as tracker.
What do you guys say about the KoreTrak watch?

BUMP! Any more ideas here? It's already Black Friday week and I still don't have a choice but I think I'm going with a fitness tracker instead.
Pebble or amazfit bip. Pebble is the best one still imo, Fitbit is overpriced and breaks often, almost no devices have always on display even today, very depressing! Bip can have bipOS installed and does everything I need (notifications, shows time, continuous heart monitor, sleep tracking) and I never have to take it off. It has gps but I don't use that.

Can you give me a link to Pebble? I can't seem to find it anywhere unless you're referring to the Kickstarter project that already died?
XDA Pebble section but not much there
Smartwatch is still a very new thing to a lot of people. You don’t absolutely need one to get through the day, and some of the best smartwatches are much too expensive to own and use for daily purpose. The range of fossil men smartwatch is moderately priced with innumerable features. They can provide you with an easy way to get information, allow you to dismiss or reply to new messages without having to pull out your phone, and much more.

Hi Kevin, I placed an order for KoreTrak Pro myself. Received it after 3 weeks and it was working fine. But don't expect much as what you'll be getting for such a low price.
