Does this app work for anyone on the AT&T variant of the v20? I get a force close every time after attempting to open a new Memo. Also when I click Capture+ from the notification bar pulldown menu.

Thanks for checking. I did try that but it's not working. It hasn't worked since I first got the phone. Searched Google and didn't find anything and haven't seen anyone else post about it here.
It's strange that its never worked and I have no idea what would be causing it to FC.

If you're using a task-killing app,it is likely the culprit,ditch it & don't look back.
If not,check the following:
Go to SETTINGS > APPS > QUICK MEMO+ & ensure that all app permissions are enabled.
Also,go to SETTINGS > BATTERY & POWER SAVING,tap on BATTERY USAGE & scroll down to Ignore optimizations & choose QUICK MEMO+
Other than that, the only other recommendation I have is to clear all the app data from QuickMemo+ & try again.

Very odd, I've got nothing.
Outside of a factory reset or device replacement, I'm stumped.
May be an effort in futility, but, I'd drop this on an AT&T associate in-store,see what they come up with.

I appreciate your help. It's just one of those little things that irk me. I'm very happy with the phone and everything is working great so no need to return it. Not sure about AT&T (just switched) but if it's anything like Verizon going there would be a complete waste of time.
I'm coming from the 5x and prior to that, quite a few years if rooting and custom ROMs. Like I said I'm very happy with this device but I wanted to try and take advantage of as much of the stock software as possible, since I'm so used to customizing my phone to the exact same setup for so long.
I'll live with it, and again thanks for your help.

None of the apps I've tried from the Market have worked, so I'm wondering if there's a file somewhere I can either change permissions on, rename to a .bak file or some other form of hackery in order to disable the lock screen. If anyone knows how to do it, I would really appreciate the tip!

You have provided little info on what ROM you are using to know what you are trying to do and what apps you have tried.
I used nolock without any issues on the stock ROM.

@krelvin, do you have your wallpaper locked? I'm stock, but rooted, and what not; no lock crashed on me when I tried it last.

Yes. It is locked by having changed the permissions of the wallpaper files, don't recall right off hand what the location was.

Just few quick tips that will help you get amazing results:
1. get the app called Autostarts from the market
2. in the app kill after reboot google maps, talk and social hub(you can find it on scond line in the application from the possible options.
3. Get Titanium
freeze wifi sharing manager and wifi manager.
You are done
Enjoy!
Have you tried dl'ing anything from the market after doing this? Because in the help section it says you might not be able to dl anything from it if you disable Google Talk.
Why not just log out from Google Talk instead?

I think the point is to have it done automatically every time.
Exactly! You can stop them manually but they will reappear again. With the program mentioned above you can do it for good - google maps, google voice will not longer drain the battery without need. Tiatanium will take care for wifi sharing manager and wifi manager - yet another big, big battery drainer that won't affect the phone in any way
Thanks for the tip. I got the program autostarts but I am not able to manually disable google map and voice. I just see several lines of google services framework. Is this it?

Time to do some testing. I already had autostarts on another recommendation, but was lost on what to do with it.
I have found that using a very (very) minimal homescreen on a black background, using a dark profile for all apps that have the option, and turning wifi off when not needed, I can get at least 2 and a half days out of one charge with light use.
Going to see if this impacts my numbers any. Thanks!

The trick of my recommendation is that the phone is folling in deep sleep when not in use and by that way you can almost double the battery life, of course if not in constant use. To be sure that you are doing alright go get frkm tne market Battery monitor widget, install the widget and if you are running at about 50mA in sleep mode you are just fine.

Hi all,
Under the Quick Settings pull down menu, the first button is the User Account. It shows the user's name and profile picture(if there is one). I've associated a picture with the user profile; but a while later, even after I removed/deleted the picture, the picture still shows up under the Quick Settings pull-down. My question is, is it possible to have the icon revert back to the default android user icon(below)?

so the picture doesn't show up under Quick Setting menu if you delete yours from the profile?

I am not 100% sure...
But I ran some CIQ tests to see if it was involved with that and it was not.
I removed it 100% from my soon to be current ROM with no notable ill affects.
However, soley by the name and what you just pointed out about the sub class...
I would guess you that its some sort of IQ Agent that will take a drop box of data and transfer them to LG like Samsung does.
Just an educated guess.
Has anyone figured out yet what this is? It can be disabled without root, freeing up memory. But I'd like to know what I'm disabling.
Does it have to do with the context app that lets you quickly go to a contact or search based on what text says

I think you're talking about text link which can be disabled without root.
I was looking at another forum, it has something to do with auto connecting and managing connections (wifi, gps, bluetooth, etc.)
Mine is weird and I turn it off, and wifi doesn't turn on by itself anymore (good thing) my wifi used to randomly turn on oddly. but yea. Idk, just a thought out there.
I wonder if this is the utility that does the Wi-Fi-4G handoff for MMS.

I sent a mms over Wi-Fi success, then froze LG Intelligent Agent and tried to send over Wi-Fi and fail. Turned Wi-Fi off sent mms and the picture went.

Is this possible with the S8?
I used to have a S6 before this one, and it was a default setting, but somehow I cannot find it on the S8.
If this is not possible with a default setting, are the apps that can fix this without "root" access?

There is an app called battery overlay percent, let you keep the percentage anywhere on the status bar, even inside battery. You can adjust size and colors etc. I kept it on the empty space on edge, but its highly unstable for samsung. It occasionally drifts here and there
