Is anybody using an Android wear device with the Axon 7? I was wondering if there would be any issues using this phone with an ASUS smart watch 2 or smart watch 3?
I have a Zenwatch 2. Probably getting a 3 someday. Android Wear is fine. My A7 is always alerting me that it is a battery hog because it stays active. But I guess that is what you get to stay connected.
I have a ZenWatch 2. I was having disconnect issues were the watch should just disappear from Bluetooth known devices. Someone here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/help/issues-stating-paired-to-smartwatch-t3493731/page1) posted that shutting off Phone Audio might help.

I have an lg watch urbane 1st gen and it works fine. Just make sure you go into power settings and disable everything for android wear.
I have the Huawei watch and it works great. Shows that it drains the battery in Power Manager but when i open the Android Wear app information. It doesn't show any battery usage.

I have a Verizon Note 4 that is on 4.4.4. I just received an Asus Zenwatch that is failing to update to Android Wear 5.0.2 due to this error: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenwatch/help/unable-to-update-zenwatch-t2981611). However, Wear support is saying the Wear version is tied to to the phone version. I thought they were independent as the watch is running its own self-contained version of Android.
So basically, am I right and is the Wear support people not understanding me, or are they actually correct and I'm at the mercy of Verizon to update the Note 4 to Lollipop in order to get AW 5.0.2?
Your info is false. I currently have a Samsung Note Edge running 4.4.4 and my LG G Watch R is running 5.0.2 , works great.
Thats my point. Google Support keeps telling me the watch has to match the OS on your phone instead of knowing its an update issue with a batch of Zenwatches. But thanks for confirming my suspicions.

Would this work with my moto 360? I was going to buy a new phone as mine is kit Kat unless there is a way to update the watch. How did you update yours?
Hello everyone, recently I bought my first smartwatch, lg g watch, and the first that I wanted to make is share a screenshot with the watchfaces, android wear OS and how it works, but, although the oficial app of android wear has the capability to do screenshots, I was not able to share it through whatsapp, twiter... So I begin to develop my own app for my watch, and here is.
The app is so easy to use.
STEPS
1 - Go to android wear app, and click on take a screenshot.
2 - Then click on notification and select wear screenshot, the app.
3 - The app will appear and the image will be stored on the phone, then you can see the image, share it where you want and delete it.
So, the app is not free, but I want to share it here in xda, because thanks to the comunity and all the people here my previus app was a success for me, and then if do you think that the app worth it, you can buy it.

If you have any problem, leave me a reply
I need some feedback, I tried in my phone and it works okey, but idk in others.
Thanks!
Now the app works using another method. Now only needs to go to the android wear app and click on take a screenshot, then select this app and the image will be stored on the phone and you can see it, share it or delete it.
I hope you enjoy the app.
Good day,
I am planning to buy OnePlus Two and it has no wifi-direct. Is there any other way to connect OnePlus Two with smart TV's without wifi-direct for streaming videos.
Thanks in Advance.

Picked up an Asus zenwatch 2. When it's connected my phone won't go into deep sleep. As soon as I shut off Bluetooth, my phone sleeps.
It's killing my battery, lost 20% overnight.
Any idea how to fix this? Gonna have to sell this thing if I can't fix this.
Have you tried Asus tech support? The Gear Fit 2 watch doesn't have this problem with the S7e, so it's specific to the Asus watch.
You could also try revoking the Prevent Phone from Sleeping permission for Android Wear and/or for any app associated with the Asus watch.
No, haven't. Figured I'd post here first

I have a Huawei watch and do not have this problem. I have it set to not sleep the connection and it still doesn't drain the battery. In fact I barely notice any addition drain when it is connected. sounds like it might be one of the apps you have installed that is trying to communicate with the watch. do you have a list of apps that push notifications to your watch. My bet is one of those is causing the drain.
[deleted, error]
2.5% per hour is almost triple what it was before the watch.
But, I removed all Android Wear software, reset the watch, restarted the phone and started over, appears to be resolved. I did all of that last night and it didn't fix it, no idea why doing it a second time may have worked.

I've been using the zenwatch 2 for a few months, no issues. I lose about 2 percent in 8 hours when i sleep. And that's with notifications.

Hi All,
Looking for a Wear OS Smart Watch that can do 2 things without the need to carry around a phone:
Listen to podcasts (I use Pocket Cast app on the phone, but happy to switch to another app if needed for this)
Track my runs (I currently use the Run keeper app, but happy to switch to Strada or anything else that might be needed for this).
I spent some time researching this on the net, and I got super confused. https://19216881.org/ https://1921681001.link/ https://19216801.digital/
If anyone is using their Wear OS device for these two things, any recommendation would be much appreciated.
Most if not all wearos watches can do this, podcasts are easier than music.
I've used "Wear Cast" app in the past and it's great.
You can use strava or runkeeper or almost any of the main apps. Depending on your watch it will have some sort of 3rd party health tracking software preinstalled. Those can often sync to strava as well, sometime they link to other apps but strava is the main one.
If you want offline music you are out of luck mostly unless you side load Spotify lite from xda.
I'll recommend the Ticwatch Pro 4G/LTE as the only option that can even get a data signal on its own (Verizon only, standalone plans available).
If you are willing to download podcasts and transfer them to your watch, using either ADB (my choice) or NavMusic/NavExplorer (great products, honestly) then I'd up my recommendation to the Ticwatch Pro 3. Best WearOS watch on the market. Built-in TicExercise is really good, but you can use RunKeeper or any other watch with a WearOS version.
