Hello to you,all of xda members!
I have new questions about the beloved g930v.
Firstly, whenever I try to call somebody on messenger right after I have listened to music/or played game where music and sound effects are on,I hear a screeching noise on the earphone (the speaker for the voice calls above the screen). Why is that ? Is it a defect like the compass or a software issue? Problems persists even after several updates of messenger app.
Secondly,I installed the game called Mortal Kombat X Mobile edition, I get a lag from time to time. I asked around in the official forum of the game, but they didn't have any solutions at all. I have froze most of the bloatware and unwanted apps with package disabler pro, but it still lags ? I have a friend with a clean,non-verizon samsung galaxy S5 and it runs smoothlier than on my phone ?
I even tried using the Game tuner app by Samsung which gave me options to lower resolution ratio and texture quality, but it has no effect whatsoever. Even with Gamebench I recorded that the fps fall below 40 or somewhere around that, but it feels like it is 10 fps.
Thank you, guys for reading this, and I hope someone can respond with a tip or a possible resolution.

don't know if this has been discussed before (every time i searched for driver issues kept coming up with USB connection results, nothing on video)
Anyways I remember on my Kaiser/At&t Tilt a few years a go their was a big issue with video performance and it turned out HTC "forgot" to include the video drivers.
since then i went over to a Touch Diamond and never really had any issues with that
Now than i'm on Android and using the magic.. i'm noticing similar things to my Kaiser/Tilt (mainly when playing games)
I noticed it when playing mario through Snesoid, evertime i touch the on screen Dpad the game gets Choppy and audio starts to clip quite noticeably. where if i use the track ball everything stays silky smooth.
i've noticed similar things to the quality of scrolling in numerous apps. when my thumb is pressed down it scrolls fairly choppy, but when i let go and it "flicks" the menu the scrolling gets noticeably smoother. (obviously you won't really notice this on menu's that have text but in browsers and such its an issue)
So i'm just wondering if anyone can confirm if the drivers are there and maybe its a problem with android being so new, or not utilizing them properly
or if HTC is just back to their old ways of creating crap that just doesn't work properly.
I'll mention my diamond never had any issues with video performance or emulators or slow down when touching the screen in any application as HTC had to include video drivers because otherwise they wouldn't be able to run touchflo 3D.
Hi everyone, this is the first time I have posted on here, so I decided to help a few of you with this problem. Having had most of the Samsung galaxy phones I was horrified to find this problem on my new note 5. After a lot of experiments and different recording conditions I have managed to eliminate the static popping and crackling heard when recording a video. It seems that if you record your video in 320x240(4.3) then there is no popping or crackling at all. Then the higher you go towards 3840x2160(16.9) the worse it gets. But at bottom resolution audio is perfect. As a computer I.T engineer and mobile phone technician looking at this logically would tell me this is a software problem. Most lightly the compression or codec used when taking higher quality footage. I have spoke direct to Samsung who flatly refuse to accept there is a problem. However I have other avenues to go down. For now I`m afraid the only thing we can do is to all ring the 0300 Samsung number if your in the Uk if you have this problem. Keep ringing and keep telling until they sort this out. Please feel free to comment how many of you have this problem and I will voice all your cases to them 1 by one if needed !!!

So your soultion is to record video in 320x240 resolution?
Unfortunately seems like the audio problem is an hardware bug and the popping/crackling sound comes up with vocal recorder too.
So this article just showed up on my Twitter feed, which is a bit of a coincidence because the issue described in the article is one I experienced today on my Pixel.
Basically there seems to be an issue with the loudspeaker producing static, clipping and distortion when playing certain audio at high volume.
I experienced it today when using android auto voice controls. The assistants voice talking back to me was incredibly distorted and clipped, and as such I couldn't understand her. Turning the volume down fixed the distortion but then couldn't be heard over the vehicle noise. I usually have the audio through my car speakers so have never noticed it before.

The article points out that a piano app and The Mummy trailer can recreate the problem. I've tried the trailer and indeed the problem persists at numerous points in the video.
Does any of your Pixel and Pixel XL devices suffer the same problem?
I expect it will be fixed in a patch buy just reducing the maximum volume, which to me is not an acceptable solution at all.
I have the same issue but it only happens in the YouTube app. I noticed this when I was playing music through YouTube and had the same sort of distortion in the low ends of the song at full volume. But, once I reduced the volume by one step it started to sound completely normal. However, the problem doesn't occur in PowerAmp or Phonograph at the max volume with the same song. Just hoping google would fix this issue. Sounds like a software problem to me.
My pixel works fine, I am on a custom kernel tho. No loudspeaker problem here.
I just played the video from YouTube - new mummy movie and at the highest volume, I do hear distortion, a lot. I have Pixel 5 inch which I received a week ago from google.
Mine is from verizon
Thanks fur the replies folks. It seems like this is a widespread problem. I've heard from someone who often has the problem when using Google nav on loudspeaker.
Hopefully Google are away of this and or a solution soon, whether software or hardware.
I was reading about the issue on Android Authority today and watched the video. Downloaded the piano app and experienced the same issue.
Google is aware of the issue fwiw...

Just a software issue. Problem not there is WETA rom.
Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
It seems Google have acknowledged that this is a hardware issue with some handsets.

Might as well wait till they make a public statement and see what's up.
Why when notification comes or even playing music games video etc I heard Sound like crackling?
Glad I'm the only one who noticed this too, I'm playing some rhythm games on this phone (in case you're wondering, it's Bang! Dream or Bandori) and sometimes there's a crackling sound coming from the speaker whenever I tap the notes (and it's making the tapping sound effect, aside from the music in the background). On top of that, sound effects from the tapping seemingly can't play while other sound effects (the song itself) play. This means that fast streams in songs pretty much always have note sounds missing and this really throws me off when I play, as I play with the sounds as an assistance in a way (which means getting full combo is a no go). The only way to temporarily fix it is by restarting the phone entirely and then the game works properly once - if you play it and then close the game and reopen it, the bug continues. Another way I recently found is just to keep playing longer, as in around 10 minutes and beyond and it gradually fix itself as in calibrating the sounds, however strange that sounds.
The problem is whether on hardware or software?

I have also faced similar issue except I played CGSS when encounter this issue
Went back to playing Need for speed no limit and surprised that the audio was crackling and lagging like ****, gameplay was very smooth no issues , just the audio
note that it only happens with speaker, and also the stutter happens in short bursts , it's like ok for sometime then it happens , then goes back ok then happens again
for now the only app it happens on is need for speed no limits, i play other intensive apps like pubg and asphalt 9 .. no issue with those , and with any other media things
anyone facing same issue ? anyone would know the reason or a fix ?
I have the same issue with my 7 Pro... Very annoying..
been having it since my OP5 was on nougat, i'd say it's more of a game optimization issue, it's probably not your phone
