Went back to playing Need for speed no limit and surprised that the audio was crackling and lagging like ****, gameplay was very smooth no issues , just the audio
note that it only happens with speaker, and also the stutter happens in short bursts , it's like ok for sometime then it happens , then goes back ok then happens again
for now the only app it happens on is need for speed no limits, i play other intensive apps like pubg and asphalt 9 .. no issue with those , and with any other media things
anyone facing same issue ? anyone would know the reason or a fix ?
I have the same issue with my 7 Pro... Very annoying..
been having it since my OP5 was on nougat, i'd say it's more of a game optimization issue, it's probably not your phone

Hello everyone !
So, I posted this on the distortion/crackling post but it seems it's a different problem, so I'd like to know if other Galaxy S4 users are experiencing the same thing.
The problem :
I experience stuttering in music, it skips some like a fraction of second of the song I'm listening to. It happens even if I'm not navigating through the phone (screen off).
Also, I experience music skipping with the stock player AND with Player Pro when playing FLAC tunes.
I don't seem to have distortion problems though.
The phone : Galaxy S4, I-9505, non rooted, barely have any apps installed (I got it last week and I'm not an app fanatic). I play music from the internal storage, not sdram.
What I've tried :
- Clearing RAM - doesn't particularly help, I it seems it stutters when the background stuff comes back (I have more stuttering for a while right after clearing RAM).
- Tried Power Amp - I seem to have less stuttering, but it's still quite present.
- Tried playing music without headphones - I seem to have less frequent stutters, but it still happens.
- Tried Player Pro - still stutters and I also have song skipping with FLAC.
Anyone knows where's this stuttering coming from ? And how to fix it ?
Thanks !
So, I tested some more and I get no stuttering when playing on speakers with Player Pro.
Hello to you,all of xda members!
I have new questions about the beloved g930v.
Firstly, whenever I try to call somebody on messenger right after I have listened to music/or played game where music and sound effects are on,I hear a screeching noise on the earphone (the speaker for the voice calls above the screen). Why is that ? Is it a defect like the compass or a software issue? Problems persists even after several updates of messenger app.
Secondly,I installed the game called Mortal Kombat X Mobile edition, I get a lag from time to time. I asked around in the official forum of the game, but they didn't have any solutions at all. I have froze most of the bloatware and unwanted apps with package disabler pro, but it still lags ? I have a friend with a clean,non-verizon samsung galaxy S5 and it runs smoothlier than on my phone ?
I even tried using the Game tuner app by Samsung which gave me options to lower resolution ratio and texture quality, but it has no effect whatsoever. Even with Gamebench I recorded that the fps fall below 40 or somewhere around that, but it feels like it is 10 fps.
Thank you, guys for reading this, and I hope someone can respond with a tip or a possible resolution.
Happens everyday (even with my S6). It'll stop when audio is playing for a bit, or after I hit the volume button. It doesn't do it constantly through out the day, but it'll happen atleast once everyday i'm listening to audio. Anyone else?
Anyone?
It is happening with my S8 either when playing games or youtube and even music.
This problem started after the software update. So i think it is a software issue..
Whenever the sound cut off, i just lock the screen and unlock it back....
Hope Samsung will release a software update as soo as possible
Games is fine for me, it's just players like YouTube, music apps, and players inside websites. Just gotta press play again. Pretty annoying, but happens atleast once a day, not constantly through out the day.
It happens to me in Youtube and NBA app when video is being played.
Sometimes the screen just shuts off completely too.
I agree it's not consistent.
To add, sound not working sometimes when i am using skype and even sometimes for my alarms.
What do you think, is it a software problem or hardware?
Seems to happen more through out the day now. It's pretty annoying.
This just started happening to me yesterday. I've tried restarting my phone, pausing the video and playing it again, turning the volume all the way down then back up. All of those things restore the sound but it'll cut out a few seconds later. Also audio plays just fine in my headphones.
I dont have my s8 yet, but this sounds like a problem I used to have on a previous galaxy s phone (i think it may have been the s4). It turned out I had a setting enabled where the player pauses or stops when I'm not looking at the screen. It's called smart pause. Could be something similar although i'm not sure.
Uggg
Same problem here. Got the s8 less than a week ago and I use spotify offline (downloaded) and Google Music for downloaded files and it always pauses after about 15 minutes, sometimes sooner. I don't use battery saver, and none of the 'smart' features are enabled. It happens with headphones, without headphones, on Bluetooth. Just pauses the song and I have to hit play again, super annoying and I can't find any fix. I'm really regretting this purchase.
I also have S8 and currently experiencing this kind of issue. Every after 1 minute of playing either youtube or videos on my phone it paused and I didn't even clicked it.
I have a problem like this on my s7edge. Then I thought it can be related third party apps. And yes when I uninstall Sputnik news app, it solves the problem.
Why when notification comes or even playing music games video etc I heard Sound like crackling?
Glad I'm the only one who noticed this too, I'm playing some rhythm games on this phone (in case you're wondering, it's Bang! Dream or Bandori) and sometimes there's a crackling sound coming from the speaker whenever I tap the notes (and it's making the tapping sound effect, aside from the music in the background). On top of that, sound effects from the tapping seemingly can't play while other sound effects (the song itself) play. This means that fast streams in songs pretty much always have note sounds missing and this really throws me off when I play, as I play with the sounds as an assistance in a way (which means getting full combo is a no go). The only way to temporarily fix it is by restarting the phone entirely and then the game works properly once - if you play it and then close the game and reopen it, the bug continues. Another way I recently found is just to keep playing longer, as in around 10 minutes and beyond and it gradually fix itself as in calibrating the sounds, however strange that sounds.
The problem is whether on hardware or software?

Hi,
Whenever I use my yogabook, the area above the keyboard is hot. I understand electronics produce heat when working but this is HOT
Also when I play youtube video in fullscreen, the audio is poppy and the video stutters
are these two things connected in some way? If not, does anyone have a solution for both issues?
thanks
