Will we ever seen 7.1 on CID 11? - Verizon Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi mates, as for unfair destiny I bought a CID 11 Verizon I'm asking if there will be any chance for us to flash Android 7.1 one day. Since Samsung not planning it for this phone and the bootloader unlock is far to be solved (really a pity, unsolved challenge) I'm afraid I will never..
I hope I'm wrong..

There is still a chance but it is pretty unlikely

A Note 4 on Android 4.4.4? (SM-N910-A/S/T/V)

I am looking to buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 still on Android 4.4.4 with either AT&T/Sprint/T-Mobile/Verizon as carrier (SM-N910-A/S/T/V). Would anyone point me towards a listing on eBay/Amazon or anywhere else that would be selling a Note 4 still on Android 4.4.4?
While it's been easy for me to see listings for new Note 4s on eBay/Amazon it's been very difficult to determine what Android version ships on those new phone listings since new Note 4s are factory sealed, and as such the Android version installed from the factory cannot be determined - this is why I am asking help in finding such a listing. Please help, thanks!
In transparency, I really prefer to have the most app-compatibility when it comes to which Android version is installed, and particularly I see that Android 4.4.4 has the most compatibility with certain apps that have features otherwise incompatible/patched/made more difficult to access in Android versions higher than Android 4.4.4.
In short, Android 4.4.4 is compatible with everything I need it to be, and as a result don't want to upgrade to a higher Android version just to find out there is some app/feature not available on that new Android OS (ie. patched/restricted), and only available on Android 4.4.4.
hmmm no way to be sure if the phone is packed, btw if you dont mind sharing why are you looking for 4.4.4?
dork997, added explanation to initial post.
In addition, I know the bottom of some of the Note 4 sealed packages (maybe all?) list the Baseband version, and one can use SamMobile to determine the Baseband number that corresponds to the Android version installed.
While this Is helpful when shopping in person, it's not so when shopping online. I am still looking for a listing for a Note 4 (either SM-N910-A/S/T/V) with Android 4.4.4 if anyone would point towards a listing that would help me so much?
Additionally, does anyone know if the factories update the Android versions/Basebands on the phone as the updates happen? Like, for example, the Sprint Samung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910P) was released with Android 4.4.4 as its initial Baseband in 2014 - does that mean that the factories stick to that initial Baseband version all through the years in production or do the factories at some point update the Basebands, so that more recently made Note 4s now ship with an updated Baseband/Android version?
Can anyone elaborate on this question please?
I am also looking for a way to downgrade to 4.4.4. Since i have 2 N910U, originally stayed on 4.4.4, without update for best stability. However, one of them got "no signal" problem, and replaced circuit board after maintenance service, thus i am forced to upgrade to 5.0.1, and no longer have choice to downgrade. It takes me a lot of time to try to downgrade! Android system updates too much, and won't let user downgrade, it's not a reasonable policy.

I was under the impression that all the bootloaders for AT&T and Verizon were locked; whereas, Sprint and T-Mobile were unlocked - can anyone confirm if this is the case?
As a correction, the video linked shows a downgrade not from 5.1.1. (Baseband N910TUVU2DOK2) but from 5.0.1 (N910TUVU1COG2) to Android 4.4.4 (Baseband: N910TUVU1ANK4) on the T-Mobile Samsung Note 4 (SM-N910T) which is still great to hear.
Building on that video linked, would it be possible to downgrade a T-Mobile Samsung Note 4 (SM-N910T) on Android 5.1.1 (N910TUVU2DOK2) all the way back to Android 4.4.4 (N910TUVU1COG2)?

I think that T-Mobile Note 4 is quite behind updates from samsung. They don't even get the update "OJ" things that block bootloaders from being downgraded to lower version.

You'd better ask the video uploader.
You can downgrade both the Verizon and T-Mobile variant down to KitKat at any point since the Verizon bootloader has been unlocked and T-Mobile has never been locked.

Nope that's wrong US Note 4's cannot be downgraded back to Kitkat. Only the N910F and N910W8 can be downgraded.

The Tmobile one requires the stock rom from the rent a center model that's stuck on Kitkat otherwise you cannot downgrade

A few questions before buying

Hello XDA,
I'll keep it short and to the point. Before buying the Axon 7 (from Amazon Italy, so probably A2017G), I have a couple of questions. I know they've been answered before, but the answers I found were old and things may have changed.
1. Can the EU model's BL be unlocked, and CM flashed?
2. Does flashing CM remove the EU model's audio limitation?
3. In your opinion - Moto Z Play or Axon 7?
Thanks for your input
Moto Z's battery is low. 2600mAh is not enough. I think you like custom roms. so don't buy Axon 7. I'm regret to buy because of there is no custom Rom. you can buy OnePlus 3 or 3T
1 - All models can be BL unlocked. If by CM you mean CyanogenMod, then I don't know about the EU (2017G) version, but you sure don't want to considering how incomplete it is right now.
2 - Last I checked all sound on CM was a mess, however you can flash mods to remove the audio output limitation the 2017G model has.
3 - Neither. If you're aiming for the price range of an A7 buy the OnePlus 3T instead.
It sounds like community development, and a stock-ish ROM matters to you, which is why I recommend the OnePlus 3T instead.
I bought an axon 7 since it seemed like zte would support indy developers. They didn't, I sold it to a friend, friend got pissed because of the lack of wifi calling and crap reception, zte doesn't honor the warranty for reception issues since they blame your carrier, had to take phone back or lose a friend. That said, watching the doublespeak from zte and their fans optimism has been hilarious
There are three models of the Axon 7.
1. A2017 - Chinese model - not bad. Haven't heard people complaining about it.
2. A2017U - North American model - I have this, I like it. CM13 still has a few bugs but once those get fixed the flood gates on custom roms will open up big time. It is a nice phone.
3. A2017G - European model - nothing but complaints. I have never heard one person on here say anything good about this model, and any possible complaint that can be made about a smartphone has been made with this smartphone by EVERYONE! AVOID THE A2017G MODEL AT ALL COSTS!
The A2017U is a good one, is 100u$s less than a Oneplus3T, Nougat is coming, battery and speed are just great.
You have the money? Go for the Oneplus3T, if not, think about the A2017U, not the European version

I was actually considering the Moto Z Play - that one has a 3500 mAh battery, and is considered to have among the best battery life. About ROMS - I'm not a flashaholic. I just need a stable, CM/AOSP based ROM (I don't use Google Services).
I can't/won't buy a Oneplus 3T. First of all, because it's insanely expensive on Amazon or locally; and also because, coming from a Oneplus X, I don't support Oneplus's practices (they abandoned the X after one update, which was a year late).

I definitely wanted the US model, but I can't buy it (U.S. Amazon doesn't ship to where I live). The 128GB/4GB Chinese model is available on AliExpress for cheaper than the normal EU model, so you're saying I should go for that?
I would say no. The Chinese model probably doesn't pick up your LTE bands in Italy. Just stay away from the A2017G model. There was a post here about getting the A2017U model shipped to Europe in the past. Don't know if it is still there though.

I actually live in Israel, and the Chinese model supports all the bands I need. That thread sounds interesting though, I'll look for it.
I have a A2017G and have nothing to complain about. You can install CM on this unit like all others U and chinese. I currently have the stock based rom from DrakenFX and the custom kernel BeastMode.
I am satisfied with that. Important for me will be the nougat update which will come to us this month.
I'm also using G model (Poland) and there's nothing wrong with it.

I must disagree, I have the A2017G and there is nothing to complain about.
I was also trying to decide between the Moto Z Play and the Axon 7. I chose the Axon 7 for the Quad HD screen (beautiful for reading or movies), the faster processor (see YouTube videos of the Antutu video tests on the Moto Z Play), and optical image stabilization. I didn't expect to care about the front-facing speakers, but they're a pleasure. Also the phone is smaller in the pocket, the Moto Z Play is huge with lots of space around the screen.
Pros for the Moto Z Play: front fingerprint sensor (the Axon 7's is very fast and saves space being on the back but I don't find it as convenient), up to 1.5x longer battery life (my "3250 mAh" battery is really 3050 mAh but I don't care because it still lasts me 24h under typical conditions), more stock-like OS, flat screen is easier to find a tempered glass screen protector.
Overall I'm very happy with the choice of the Axon 7 (rooted, lots of Xposed modules, no CM so far) coming from the OnePlus One.
As a moto x pure owner (xt1575, 2015 edition), this is my last motorola product. Since lenovo took over, the promise of steady updates is a lie. The device is all but abandoned. Supposedly android 7 will be released for it at some point but nothing definitive. As for MM updates, I believe the most current one includes the august 2016 security updates. Nothing more recent.
I think it's a crap shoot with either company. The A7 has it's 4 carrier support (albeit sprint hasn't certified it yet). Where as the moto z play is primarily a vzw phone with some lte bands of other carriers. Not sure if the Z play can be rooted/bootloader unlocked either as it's a vzw device.

I did go back from B08 to B03 and followed this thread instructions to root and unlock my bootloader: https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/guide-install-twrp-unlock-bl-flash-t3517379
If you ask me how I did go back from B08(The same version as you) to B03, I just downloaded the B03 update.zip from an mirror and installed it trough the phone's recovery as a update. If you get an error when trying to update to B03, you have to enable OEM Unlock in developer settings.
Hope I helped you a little bit. If you need further information, just ask.

Official Nougat Update Port From T Mobile To All international Versions

We have all got the hot news that the HTC m8 T mobile version is getting the long awaited Nougat update!!!!!! But that's for only T mobile users,,What about us with unlocked versions,,can anyone port the ROM from T Mobile HTC one M8 to our international versions please???? Thanks
It was a (horrible) mistake, there is no Nougat for the T-Mob M8: http://www.theandroidsoul.com/breaking-htc-one-m8-is-getting-android-7-0-nougat-update-t-mobile-will-be-rolling-it-out-soon/
If it were true, are you asking if it's possible to port a T-Mob ROM to other versions? If that is the question, then yes it would not be that hard to do.
If you are requesting someone do it, such requests do go over well on XDA; and typically don't get much response. Basically, devs don't want everyone constantly nagging them to do things, or when a ROM is coming (if they have admitted to working on it).
It's a mistake.
HTC one A9 got nougat update today.
Maybe there will be a port or maybe not.

Any ROMs for G950U with an updated bootloader past 2?

Hey guys, sad day for me yesterday as I had tried to install the Slick Rom for the G950U the other day but came to realize my bootloader was updated past 2 so I could not flash it. Are there any ROMs available with an updated bootloader like mine? I don't know exactly what version I have but I know it's above 2. Is there any hope for this phone? I feel like it is a piece of crap compared to my Oneplus One I had for 4 straight years because of the incredible ROMs they had available for the OPO....

Is it possible to downgrade QI5 bootloader?

Hello, a few months ago the motherboard died and then I bought a new replacement on aliexpress, the new board has already been updated to the latest QI5 bootloader and now I can not unlock it.
Any suggestions?
The simple answer is no. There may be a way but as far as I am aware of not yet. Generally speaking , aboot is upwared compatible but not downward compatible. Since, there are not official updates for the ageing Note 4 were stuck with the 5DQ15 aboot. The sad part is that all the developers hard work on previous custom roms on marshmallow and kit kat will not be of any use. All there hard work and the donations have been cut away. How sad, Id be really pissed if I had developed a custom rom and Samsung and Sprint cut me off from my possible income. I am not a developer but I enjoy flashing different roms and also had to replace my Note 4 . I lost mine. Then discovered that I could not find one that was not on the 5Dq15 bootloader. Afterwards, I decided to take risks with my new note 4 and mod away. So far so good hotspot mod and many custom mods and ports. I had almost given up on finding a Note 4 on the latest update but I found one on Ebay for $80 Grade A. OMG. Im still waiting on it to arrive. Seems to good to be true so I am keeping it real and will try not to get to optimistic. Time will tell.
Correction
Lollipop and kitkat roms most likely will not work, you will still be able to flash custom roms that are on marshmallow just make sure to keep 5DQ15 bootloader and modern.
