ok we have two versions
new firmware! LGD855 (TWN, ATWN), version 20H_00 -> 20I_00
and
new firmware! LGD855 (UNITED KINGDOM, A6GB), version D85520H_00 -> D85520I_00
Which is what??whats the ATWN and the A6GB
Look what i found in build.prop
ro.lge.lguiversion=4.1 Is the 20i have the 4ux??
NO. The V20I has the normal old G3 UI like in other Versions. No UX4.0. The V20P was NOT for the EU market, it was for Global. So the V20I is near the same as the V20P but for the EU. The changelog is higher then the V20P but the baseband is lower...i think in cause of the EU Settings.
Managed to root and twrp on D85520i 16gb UK
Used the tools and procedures here
i flash this 20i and far as i know the performance increase is good, i see more laggy performance in apps menu but nothing special, worst than 20h than i use before, but to open app's and take pictures etc is way faster than 20h!
i have one issue in this build: brightness always when rebbot phone, if i put in 50%, when reboot it go back to 100% everytime...any solutiuon to this?!
if LG speed up the updates we will have the 5.1 in july i hope!
Got update today said for preparing for marshmallow it was the app name updater version 7.etc so seams soon we will have M 6.0 can't wait hope if we lose root that we can root it again any word on s-off?

Doing a backup and restore now
I got it to. I honestly may never root my phone again. I had so much trouble getting back to stock. Now instead of it saying "Locked" in download mode, it says "Re-locked" which I hope doesn't affect my chances to update to 6.0. But I did get the same update yesterday as well.
if you can update normally you can always use RUU
If not that I will upload fresh working rom for you
anyone install this update yet? ideas and experience with it's performance on the metropcs 626s? i am wondering if i should update it now, or wait for a little while. i followed the excellent guides here to unlock the bootloader and root the phone. thank you so much.

Okay so my WiFi was perfectly fine when I was using it on lollipop, then one day it stopped working all of sudden, now it turns on but wouldn't detect any networks, this had happened before too where I would see network but kept getting the access denied error while connecting. I waited a few days and it fixed itself.
With my current problem its been like a week and my phone does not detect networks at all so I decided to go to marshmallow and the problem still exists. I did factory resets, wiped cache etc but no luck. So now that I am still having the problem, I was like I should go back to lollipop if that somehow fixed it but I was stuck since I don't have much knowledge on Huawei phones.
Please do help me if you know some kind of fix for this. Thanks in advance.

Easiest way to install is:
Restore TWRP Backup. Seems to work even on unlocked sprint.
Get the backup from HERE
Instructions on how to restore:
1. Download the rar, extract it to your PC.
2. Boot to recovery mode, take a backup of just the boot.
3. Mount USB Storage in TWRP, and connect to PC.
4. Navigate to TWRP - Backups - HT5xxx - 2016xxx
5. Delete the stuff
6. Copy the extracted stuff (ensure that the file format of your sd card is exfat)
7. Restore using TWRP
Its recommended to factory reset.
ROOT:
Easiest way to root is by using Magisk.
Instructions:
1. Install Magisk v9 by flashing the zip in TWRP. Reboot.
2. Install Magisk Manager.
3. Open Magisk Manager - Downloads - phh's SuperUser
4. Reboot to Recovery, flash phh's SuperUser zip
5. Reboot, and install phh's SuperUser from PlayStore.
You may use Magisk Manager to disable root for Pokemon, or Google Pay.
It's downloading on my M9 as I type this! The update version is 4.14.617.6, and the size of the OTA is 1.21 GB.

I just completed updating. It is 99% sense 8. The only difference I'm seeing is that the quick setting shade retains the same shade of grey.
Good news: navbar icons are aosp-like now, double tap to quick switch between apps work, multiwindow works and you can change the dpi in settings like in aosp nougat. Also, the default theme closely resembles the htc10's (same wallpaper?).

Hello ShieldTV users,
I have a little problem, I flashed my shield and installed a custom recovery. Now I would like to update to the last version but when the shieldTV try to install the update, the system reboot by itself and nothing else than the Shield 6.3 menu appear.
Should I update with Adb and fastboot ?
Sorry if my questions looks dumb AF I'm a bit newbie about the shieldTV and I don't want to mess and brick it.
Thanks in advance for your help
Edit : I also think about getting LineageOS, what do you guys think about it on shieldTV ?
Yes you would need to flash with fastboot.
But you will lose root and twrp if you have those.

I hard bricked my 2017 trying and had to get a replacement.
I've just sent the replacement into a bootloop.
I'm not even installing it, just using " fastboot boot twrp.img"
I had twrp installed and running great before the Oreo update came along.
I think we need a twrp update....... any ideas??????

Yes after the oreo update I had to change to the latest twrp version for the shield of course I never install only fastboot
I did the update with fastboot, everything went well but I was unable to use the dev version so I used the normal instead.
Looks pretty neat, otherwise, what do you guys think about LineageOs on shield ? Can it be used a the main OS ?
I've not tried it fully but I'd say if you wanted normal Android (Not ATV) then that's the way to go.
I have had lots of China boxes with stock Android and to be honest it's a lot "simpler" but not as smooth.
By simpler I basically mean less hard to do the power user tasks that I often find myself doing.
However Android TV looks better and the average user would probably find it easier to find something to watch.
Also you lose all the gaming features.
Basically you end up with a powerful China box (U could have saved money buy just getting a China box)
