Hi all,
I've updated my uk t-mobile atrix (locked bootloader) via rds lite with the uk retail update. Now every time I use the gps the phone reboot after 1-3 mins. This is not random as it's happened every time i have used used gps. Now the interested thing is I've managed to stop the reboots when using gps by using a different sim card from another network. When I use my giffgaff (02) sim gps reboots every time but when I use my t-mobile sim it doesn't.
Does any body have any ideas why? When I used rds lite to flash the retail update could it have flashed wrong? Could it be the new radio version? Could the hardware be faulty and the update has made it more apparent?
Also is the uk t-mobile atrix 100% the same as the uk retail handset.
Any help could be much appreciated
Well mine was rebooting all day today. It started after applying experimental kernel ( can't remember mod name). Reverted back to cm7 stock kernel but still got reboots. I have notice that all reboots happened while I had ny phone in a pocket. Took it out and left it on table and I did not have a single reboot. I will do some more tests and see how it will behave tomorrow.

I think I've sorted out my problem. I have flashed back to the older retail gb radio which I think is the same radio I was on before the update N_01.95.00R_gb_retail_29jun2011.zip
GPS has been perfect for the last hour with no reboots using my giffgaff sim. It looks likes the new radio doesn't like using giffgaff in my area or maybe it still a hardware fault that doesn't show on the older radio.
Just to confirm I did have to unlock my bootloader and install recover to flash my radio.
I bought my nexus 4 form amazon.in
everything is perfect except the sim is not working
it says "your sim card does not allow network connection "
but i can see network name in network selection (so the sim is working)
it came with android 4.3
so i googled a little and i guess 4.3 is the culprit
my question is if i downgrade to 4.2.2 the problem can be resolved? and how to do it ?
and if i downgrade to 4.2.2 and still the problem persist can i refund in amazon(downgrading voids warranty???) (because i still have 9 days for refund option)
I had a nexus 4 once same problem had to send back

its working!!
i dont know what happened tried again by restarting
but now the sim is working
what if it happens again should i downgrade to 4.2.2?

Hello guys i have one big thing to solve here i hope you are going to help me.So here is my problem:
I have an S8(G950U) which i flashed with T-mobile firmware from Sammobile. The phone worked totally fine for 7 days.I even updated the software the day i flashed the phone.Today i just woke up and i got a message on my phone saying that for security reasons your phone is locked. Now i cant even use T-mobile(Macedonia card),and not even my main operator(VIP MKD).Can someone help me what i can do? The phone is snapdragon, and the IMEI IS: 355987080853152. Its not blacklisted i did check it out.
I have 2 questions only:
1.Do phones get locked when you flash it with carrier firmware?
2.Can i flash the phone with some other firmware so its going to get in working phase again.
Thanks to everyone that is going to help.Kind regards

Dear XDA Members and U Ultra owners,
I just recently purchased the U Ultra sapphire glass edition 128GB Dual Sim and I would really like to install the deodexed firmware with root that's available. However, in order to flash that firmware, I think first I'd need to unlock the bootloader and get TWRP? Is there a current guide on how to unlock bootloader and side load TWRP?
I'm familiar with the whole process just haven't seen a guide for this phone as of yet, or at least haven't looked well enough to find one. I thought I'd ask here and it would make it a little bit easier.
I have unlocked bootloader on many phones before and I was wondering if it's the same process for this phone... Do I have to unlock it through HTC Dev? And what about TWRP, where can I find it for this phone? The website? Or is there a custom build version for this phone since its not that popular?
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
So I guess I found out where to get the recovery from... Does this work with the dual sim version? https://forum.xda-developers.com/u-ultra/development/recovery-twrp-touch-recovery-t3558540
I guess the only thing left now is the bootloader. I could use some advice on that.

I managed to figure it out. I attempted to unlock the bootloader through HTC Dev website which was a fairly simple process as I've done this several times before. I'm just waiting on the email for the unlock.bin file and for some reason it's taking its time and I've not received it yet, been well over an hour. Odd isn't it? Or is this normal?
Now I guess my only question is the S-on/S-off.
I remember with HTC M9 and 10 you had to use sunshine to s-off. Is that also required with the u ultra?
Sorry, forgot to make an update letting everyone know that all of this was taken care of successfully, I'm currently rooted and on a deodxed 8.0 Rom with magisk and twrp. Everything going great!
hello and thank you for this monologue ...
I am on the site of HTC dev but in the choice of the phone there is no U Ultra, is it normal?
Would it be easy to tell me more about the S-off method, and more, please?
