After unlocking and rooting everything is running a tad bit slower or has a significant lag to it. Anyone else experience this or have fixed this?

Did you clear cache? And/or factory reset?
I did factory reset when I unlocked the bootloader but I was afraid to touch anything in twrp because I don't want to brick

An app called Lspeed defienity works great for that

Has anyone tried the stock encryption with android (4.2 and above possibly?)?
I'm wanting to encrypt my phone but I've heard it can slow it down, which is obvious, bit is it notecebly slower?
In order to remove encryption for good on the device, do you need to factory restore?

On my Galaxy Nexus I didn't notice a slow down and yes the only way to remove it is a factory reset.
I encrypted my N4, and now I can't undo it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Sorry if it sounds noob-ish.

I believe the only way to remove encryption is to factory reset.

Tried that. Factory reset, wiped data, sys, boot, davlik, cache, everything. Still encrypted when i flash a new rom

PS, Both ROM and TWRP ask for encryption password after wiping and flashing.

I have a feeling that this is what's preventing me from using Ubuntu

No, you just do a full wipe in TWRP. It's called format data, no way you can miss such a big button: http://cloud.addictivetips.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/TWRP-Recovery-Wipe.jpg
Hi,
Seems that phone starts much longer with MM.
Have you noticed that?
Lollipop booted almost instantly compared to MM. Am I the only one?
Thanks!

I haven't notice any difference in loading times from a power on startup.
Depends on how many apps you have installed too!
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
I have the same list of apps prior and after MM upgrade. And the difference in boot time is noticeable.
Ok.. Seems that it's me...?

No, it's not just you. I agree that boot time on my N910F is much slower on MM compared to Lollipop. It's not something I have timed, but I was always impressed at how quick Lollipop booted.
Btw.. I did a full factory reset even before MM upgrade. And of course after upfrade. So I don't think this slow boot is fixable.

It's a bit slower but I can't say that I reboot my phone often enough to have it be a problem. Normally only reboot it to flash an update.
Hey guys sorry if this has already been asked but. I just got a moto x 2015. I used the toolkit to unlock the bootloader and tried to flash twrp and root using the toolkit but it didn't work. I am wondering what I need to do to flash twrp and gain root. Thanks

You flash the SuperSU again? Preferably 2.79
Not sure how you are bricked, what exactly did you do?

I fixed my bricked problem. In having trouble flashing twerp and rooting on marshmallow. Would I be able to flash the lollipop firm ware using fastboot commands the flash twerpan root?

Thanks, but I'm on MM and I'm trying to figure out how to go about flashing twerpan rooting. A link to the right files would be awesome. I would need the IIMG file for twrp

I don't understand the issue. There is a very clear guide on how to root here https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/general/guide-how-to-root-pure-style-t3503958. I was able to install TWRP and root with relative ease. The hardest part is just making sure you read for the details.
I successfully downgraded from marshmallow to lollipop and unlocked bootloader installed TWRP and rooted, then bypassed the factory reset protection so I could log in to Google on the set up screen.

Don't know why you downgraded, but glad to see you got it done.

It was easier for me to root by downgrading. If that makes any sense, which it probably doesn't lol. And thanks

Im glade I bought this phone. I was so aggravated the past few days because of the factory reset protection crap, but after I learned how to bypass it all is good now. Could anyone recommend a app or modual to use to change the navigation keys?

Hi,
I've been having issues with my lg G6 since the Oreo update. It has been overheating and rebooting several times a day and sometimes does it in a loop. I've been getting messages that lots of apps including Google apps are not responding.
I have tried factory resetting the phone but still getting the same issues.
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated
Thanks
Are you rooted?

I haven't rooted
Download an Oreo Open EU .kdz and flash it with LGUP & Uppercut, that may help, could be a glitch with OTA update.

If u couldnt fix it u can get ur phone to warranty service they have a special box and flash ur phone if supported but make a backup from ur media before it
