Your first mistake was in getting (apparently) a Frankenphone. Your second mistake was in trying to change the CSC. The Sprint device only has one CSC, unlike the I9500 and I9505, which have several.
From your description, attempting to change the CSC may have restored the device's "golden backup" (i.e. the original radio settings), and in doing so also reset the SIM lock. To blow away the SIM lock, downgrade to Android 4.2.2 and run RegionLock Away. Then start doing some research into converting the device from Sprint to GSM. And next time, hopefully you'll steer far away from Frankenphones.

I installed the new 4.4.2 update from mexico using a canadian CSC in odin on my note 3 Canadian model. But now I cannot access any SIM services or networks, when i try to make phone calls I get the popup "Please insert a sim card". Does anyone have any advice?
I tried to downgrade but I got the check fail: fused 2 binary: 1 error.
Do I have to go to Bell Mobility and ask for a new SIM card?

you were also supposed to flash the canadian modem.
Use Canadian Modem (CP) --> http://www.mediafire.com/download/1o...dem (CP).tar
Try that and let me know if it worked.

Hello everyone,
I have in my hands a Note 3 which is SIM Locked...
I have tried EVERYTHING...
I have tried to flash it with the Greek 4.2.2 firmware (via Odin) and it fails.
I have installed X-Note and Omega but the problem remains.
CF Region away doesnt work.
The SIM Lock will never vanish...
What else can I do?
I am on 4.2.2.
Bump
You can try Regionlockaway, sometimes it works on Sim locks but not always. failing that, you'll have to buy an unlock code and manually do it.

What effective CSC you had before the update and what effective CSC you have now? (look around for other posts that talk about effective CSC).

No, you can not say what is the effective CSC just from CURRENT operator/country. Especially if the phone was not bought (locked) from THAT specific operator. Please also search around for posts where I talk about effective CSC.

Hey guys,
I've got some serious problem with my Galaxy S4 (i9505). It worked nice for more than 3 months but from yesterday I can't connect to any mobile site (Vodafone, T-mobile, O2). I've tried a lot of SIM cards and they didnt work (and they all work on Nexus S). It only asks me for my PIN and then it does nothing.
I have wiped my ROM, tried other ROMs, flashed original stock ROM via Odin, flashed another baseband but it didn't help.
I'm really unhappy because I love this phone.
Do you have any ideas what to do?
Thanks!

Hey,
I have the exact same problem as you. My problem came after I flashed to 4.4.2. Now I cannot connect to any network.
I try flashing all different modems and none of them work.
I cannot even use the *#1234# function as it says "Mobile network not available"
Let me know if you get your situation sorted out.
Good luck!

duksin, I have read your theme. I was using SHOstock (4.4) for over a month and have no problems... something strange probably happened yesterday. I hope my phone antenna is not broken. Id you have this problem after upgrade, maybe flashing older firmware fix your problem.

Did the phone ever work properly?
Does the imei in the phone match the imei on the label under the battery?
You have tried other sim cards in the phone?
Tried flashing the latest stock ROM from sammmobile.com?
If these things don't solve the problem, sounds like it could be a hardware problem.

You mean the phone doesn't detect a sim or active sim cards can't connect to the carrier?
You can install the Samsung phone info app from the play store to find out the bootloader, modem, and CSC version on the phone.
