{help} Downgrading from leaked lollipop to kitkat 4.4.2

Hello friends i flashed leaked version of lollipop on i9500 and i wanna back to kitkat, can anyone tell me the procedure?:crying:

Please someone guide me! is there a way to revert back to Kitkat.

If you want google apps just flash the android lollipop gapps and voilá

But since you have break the knox you are not able to downgrade your phone i think

Hi friends i flashed the CHN version lollipop after flashed that thing i can't go back to kitkat.but finally i flashed the 'philztouch recovery' via odin and rerooted and flashed the 5.0.1 gapps its done.but how can i go back to kitkat pls tell me any one?

There doesn't seem to be any fix for this. Some users posted that they managed to change to another rom, but they lost the IMEI and baseband. And they don't seem to be able to restore any of them. Even with a backup.

Probably not possible because you also can't downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.3, so it makes sense that you can't downgrade.

before install any one cyanogenmod fom sdcard and nest install kitkat with odin )))

i had the same prb with my s4 i9500 black edition. what i did is that i installed the official releas of android 5.0.1 (that you can find it in XDA forum) with odin than i downgrad it to 4.4.2 and the phone works.
I hope that it will work for you too

Is there a guide available to downgrade the 19505 from Lollipop ( at the moment i am using Official Cyanogenmod 12 5.0.2) to Kitkat ? I miss the features of the Xposed Modules very badly. In my opinion it is a disadvantage to upgrade your phone to Lollipop .

What Firmware u using ? Lollipop or MarshMallow and What u installed for root CF file or some kernel ?

HI, don't know if you already solve your problem but if not, your solution is here. Just download the original firmware for your phone model and flash it with Odin. You will loose any data you have, your phone will be just like out of the box.

Download the correct firmware from Sammobile making sure its the correct one. For example, my phone is SM-G928f unlocked. So I use United Kingdon BTU. Other firmwares may freeze up your phone and you will need to re-flash again. Once you have picked your firmware, follow the instruction on screen given to you on the download page

if you know the exact firmware number, you can find it with this tool:

i found mine with it, its pretty awesome, somehow scans huaweis entire database.
havnt tried the rom yet though. and you need your EXACT firmware number, if you could boot into os thats under settings and about phone, if you are bricked/ boot loop however, i dont know, maybe theres an adb command to find it?

I've heard good things about Magisk for rooting
but whatever you do, I do not recommend using supersu.com(an impostor site) as that's what broke my phone...anyway, only downoad root and other system stuff from xda, or linked to from xda...if you want traditional root you can try the supersu from xda, but make backups beforehand, you need a custom recovery for it anyway...

So i fixed the bootloop with Odin (installing a J5 firmware of course not for my country cuz i am too dumb (facepalm) ) and i searched on my box and it says that this is my firmware SM-J530FZSDROM but i can't find it anywhere...
Who can help me get it ?

What device do you have? J500 J510? Are you trying to go back to stock? And did you also enable OEM Unlock from developer settings? This will cause it to fail at aboot.bin if you haven't.

He has a J530 and if you read his post you would notice that he already flashed something over odin, so he has his OEM unlock ticked.

If your sim is working on that firmware version, why would you try findimg your original one?

You know that the device name is inside the samsung firmware filename?
If you have a J500FN your stoc firmware name starts with a J500 ??

Well seeing as though he hadn't specified the device he was using I thought it would be a good suggestion to check he was flashing the correct firmware in the first place, I've got a different country for installed on my J510FN and do t have any bootloops.
BUT yes I do know that device names are inside the firmware name.

He had specified his device when he specified the firmware filename. Mine J510FN has a different country baseband and its working fine.

J5 2017 SM-J530F is my phone
My original firmware was SM-J530FZSDROM but i flashed with Odin the firmware SM-J530FXXU1AQF5 , i think its from Romania and yes the sim is working so that's the important thing i think.
But i still want the original firmware ...
Questions: Can i repair Knox?
With what to root safetly (to work with snapchat) ?

And guys when i installed the TWRP with Odin , it was showing this errors : E: Error Grab/Realase and 2 numbers idk
I installed magisk partially with it because it wasn't working with Freedom (Please allow acces to system partition this was the error i got in Freedom) . After that before i got the bootloop i tryed installing magisk again from twrp and i got stucked in bootloop . Who could help me install root and twrp succesfuly ? Thanks.

You can't repair knox after it was tripped.
If you want your root to work with snapchat root with magisk or superSU with xposed modules for hideing root

I am in deep trouble. While trying to install custom ROM on my Samsung J5 SM-500G/DS (Pakistan), things went wrong. Now I want to install official firmware on it using Odin. However, I am unable to find official rom for 500G variant of J5. There are some available for 500G on sam-mobile but the regions/countries are others. I do not see any stock firmware for 500G for Pakistan region.
Please help me out. This is my primary mobile. Thanks in advance.

Now whenever I start my phone, it gets to TWRP and is stuck there. Along with official firmware for my S500G, please also guide me how to get this back in working condition.

As far as I know, in Pakistan the Galaxy J5 bears the model number SM-J500H. Are you sure that the device is SM-J500G and brought from the countey itself? If yes, there is no harm in flashing other regions firmware for J500G. Better choose the Indonesian/Malaysian firmware.

Upon flashing the stock firmware via odin, you will get the device in normal condition. Best of luck.
