If you are rooted then calibrate your battery after charging it to 100%
If you are not rooted then flash the factory images(this process will erase internal storage so backup first)
did u face the same issue on u r stock mate?

And am not stock CM now. Am using unofficial CM11 by @dumtara

i had the same issue . my battery % would remain normal on restart but when i removed battery , it would drain tremendously .
i fully used up my bettery % to 0 and used Samsung S4 ' s charger ( 2A i guess , genuine ) and after taking around 2-3 minutes to boot up , it charged faster and the issue was resolved for me . worth trying

I was facing the same problem but some how I manager the solution myself. If after reinserting the battery charge decreases drastically then again remove it and wait for 3 to 4 mins. then insert the battery. Then connect the battery charger but don't switch on the device. If charge level returns to its previous level the its well & good otherwise repeat the previous steps 1 or 2 times, definitely after that previous levels will be back. It was working in my case hope it will work with your case also.
My battery draining so fast and charging very slowly, i tried battery calibration and it didn't work :crying:
i tried replacing my battery with an original one and still the same :crying:
when i replaced the battery with another one it was 24% percentage, i put it in my phone it became 3% at the same moment
please help me to fix this problem
Thank you
I've installed RR 5.8.4 on my k3 note . I found that the battery level is not accurately shown sometimes when i restarted the phone . The battery level dropped from 80++ % to 10% . I 've tried some battery calibration apps , it's not working . Can someone help ?
Hi guys, I am using a j5 2017 but it.s very strange battery drains quite fast in comparison with the old phone. I see strange drain at Cell standby and device idle. I will post some photos, I don.t understand why it drains battery for staying idle. Thanks very much, help is appreciated. Cheers.
PS: j5 is brand new, 1day old... Is this hardware failure? Although i.ve read others are complaining same problem.

That's normal man. 48% of screen because you use phone and 12% cell phone is about one longer call. It holds about day so it's okay. If you want to push it longer just root it and install custom rom + grenify
Thanks for answer
Hi folks,I am using samsung j5-00f model.
I am facing the following problems
1.mobile not charging (although it shows charging)
2.As I was saying "It shows charging".. it behaves strange.. it controls iself
...now as I remove/unplug the cable .. it still behaves strange(controls itself)...( untill I restart the device)
3.I have formatted the mobile... yet not charging
4.I have tested with a new battery ( yet it just shows charging but it doesn't) .. confirms that battery works good
5.tried different cables and chargers ( includuing original and trubo )
someone please help me ... I recently have had my mobile motherboard changed ... so I am kinda worried if that
happens again .... ( please let me know how far would this issue cost go if I submit it to a service centre...
do I really have to change its motherboard or might it just get fixed by changing the connector or port or ic
something like that..) ... additionally, using an extenal battery charger I came to know that the battery is working
fine...
update : its been a month and the service center guy keeps postponing ... says ic is not available
please help me ... Thanks in advance...
Hi all, i have the following problem with a Redmi 4 Prime with latest MIUI stable:
- Offline charged, shows 100%, remove charger, turn it on and battery level drops to 80/70%
- Charged while on, rises to 100% then drains normally
I've never encountered this problem on any Xiaomi device, maybe replacing the battery is a good idea?
Thanks
Happened the same installing a new Pie ported Rom. I'm trying with battery calibration [root] to solve the problem. In my opinion it's not a battery problem, but only a wrong battery statistic/calibration parameters on the phone.

Me too tryng to address issue using battery calibration. Idk if Xiaomi phones got a "fuel gauge chip" like Samsung
Did you solve the problem?
I'm still struggling with it....
Solved here!
Charged while on till 100%
Calibrated battery with app
Discharged to 10%
Charged while off till 98% and turned on and... 98%!
So it was a bad batterystats file
