I have a very weird problem and cannot find an explanation for this.
The problem is : After 5 months my phone starts to press randomly headset buttons ( volume up, down, play/pause) when the 3.5 headset jack connector is moved a little. I used from the first day Samsung headphones so i thought the headset are broken. I tried several third party headphones and all does the same but on other Huawei phones they work perfectly fine.Even if the headset dosen't have volume up/down on the remote the phone register volume changes when the connector is moved a little .I tried the original Huawei headset from the box and this work perfectly with no problem.
So i went to the service center , they replaced the jack connector. But even after the repair the problem persist and the service center told me that if with huawei headset work ok they cannot help me anymore.
My only problem is that the huawei headset are not in-ear style and i need to use another headset.
I downgrade from B380 to B370 and the problem occurs rarely but is still there. I don't think it is a software problem.
Why with Huawei headset the phone work ok and with other several headset (including original Samsung headset) ,that work well on other Huawei phones, i have this problem?

You can try going into Settings-->Smart assistance-->Smart headset control and disabling it.
I tried this. Still had this problem.
I went into Emag Showroom and they had an Huawei P8 for testing. With the same headset mine had the problem and the one in the showroom works fine.
What do you think ? it is a software issue (maybe bad sound drivers) or a hardware issue(they told me that they changed the jack connector)?

What music players do you use?
I use both stock music player and poweramp but this dosen't matter . Problem occurs even when i don't play music.
A short video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulRuOXJA06s
With headset from the box works perfectly fine, no problem at all.

Maybe doing a factory reset can help.
I did a factory reset and nothing changed. After that i downgrade to B370 and made another factory reset and the problem occurs less with some headsets but is still there

Hello,
i have a problem with my device: it has stopped to make sounds (as the click on selections, the music from a mp3, the ring of a call) i can hear the voice of the speaker in a phone call. But i can listen to everything if i put the headset on. It seems like the device is switched in "headset mode" turning off the main speaker. When i plug and unplug the headset i can hear (sometimes) the sound to come back, just to shut off the second later.
I've tried soft and hard reset and i've even installed the news rom: once installed it seems to work properly.. but this morning is "mute" again..
anyone would help this poor guy?
thanks in advance!
Execus me for this question, but I have to exclude the obvious. Did you try raising the volume utilizing the speaker icon on the top bar?
The volume is at the max and all the sounds are enabled.

Are you using any siftware which might conflict with the OS?
Test the volume with no software installed and BOTH sliders at the maximum (UP)position, also bear in mind that the installed windows media player has a volume slider of its own.
Sadly not: the problem is still there even after an hardware reset, without any other software installed. And if i plug the headset i can hear everything, so the volume is up.
It seems like the device is finding the headset even if they are not plugged, thus turning the main speaker off.
...maybe a broken loudspeaker...
I'm afraid to say this , but before to have my trinity I experienced a similar problem with my old JAMin , were the loudspeaker suddenly stopped working and only with a new one ( loudspeaker) I recovered the correct " voice" of the device.
in this case it seems to be the same , but to be sure you should be able to mesure the impedance of it ; normally should be around 30 ohms ...
when mine was broken , it was completely "open" ....
but to do this you have to open the device !!!!
I'm sorry , any other idea...

From what you say i think we can safely rule out the loudspeaker being damaged(you wouldn't have been able to hear anything ,not even for a second), it's more than likely that your problem has to do with the miniusb audiojack which might be shorting out,the only thing you can do before taking the device to a service center is insert a miniusb cable in the jack and carefully move it sideways and up and down, this might resolve the issue.

And... sucking the jack... although this might gives a too strong picture of how much you love your trinity
Thanks a lot,
moving the jack seems to solve the issue sometimes..
I was wondering: are there any settings on the registry to avoid the use of the headset: maybe if i can set the device to never use the headset the problem with the switch could be bypassed...
lost sound
well my trinity just did the same thing.
Was working fine one minute, then suddenly no sound. Plug in the headset and it works fine, but without the headset I can connect to a call but i can not hear the other person and strangely they cannot hear me. Seems like my phone is stuck in headset mode somehow.
Haven't done a hardrest yet, but i guess thats next . . .
i can't listen sounds from the back speaker of my prophet....with hands free it;s ok...the speaker got problem?
Try looking through this info in the wiki
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Prophet Jack Problem
Speaker went off on mine while under warranty and got it fixed by HTC UK, but I hadn't seen this then.
audio jack is ok....but i can not listen sound....nothing volume is max but....
add same problem tried to replace the back speaker and still no sound
then i discovered the problem....
its very likely that its an audiojack problem.... since i had the same i could hear sound on the phones and not on the backspeaker...
the solution may sound awkward but it works like a charm.
try to plug in and out frenetically the phones and since its a connection problem you will see it will solve your problem.
never had any problem ever since
cheers
yeah
i had the similar problem & solution above is weird & right solution, try plugging-unplugging a jack and insert ur stylus in a jack port & give a 360 degree turn with soft hands...it worked 4 me
Hi,
I found out that none of my Audio jack cables I have in my car, at home as well as all my headphones doesn't work well or doesn't work at all with my Xperia play.
Sometimes only one channel will play, other times everything sounds fine but the volume will go all the way down on it's own just like I held the volume down button (but I didn't)
I have red online about similar issues with the X10, and people telling the wiring is different and require headphones from SE only.
Other than that I love this phone!
EDIT: Faulty device. My new one works well.

Any of you have similar issues? How can we bypass that kind of problem?
Thanks.

if you have a mic with the headset and it is non-SE branded, then yea, it is gonna get jacked up; regular headphone will not have that problem
Hmmm...
None of the audio cable I'm talking about have a mic on them. I might have a faulty device then.
I think I'll try to return it.
Had the problem with the earplugs that came with the play, sometimes turning it a bit fixes the problem...
For me that's the only one that works perfectly.
Every other cables or headset are messed up. (ie. In Backstab the voice over are barely hearable and podcasts I listen to everyday is the same. If I unplug the headphones the sound from the speaker is perfect.)
I'm heading to Future Shop right now I'll post when I get back.
Thanks for you input guys.

Edit
Confirmed.
It was a faulty device. The second one could not detect me Sim card but the 3rd is all good for now. The good news is that one is black!
Similar problem here. I've just tried my old HTC headphones and it sounds muffled and some parts of the music can't be heard. Put the Sony headphones in and it works fine.
Also, my S9 Bluetooth headphones worked fine first time.
D.
You probably got a faulty one as well.
The one I got now does'nt have this problem. Had to explain and test in front of the guys at Future shop to prove them I was right.
Bluetooth was working properly on mine too.
Hi people
My music playing is so stuttering and have the same problem on android mm and nougat
Any help there ?????
via headphones? in my case it was the issue with jack connector, phone is so big that when it's in the pocket headphone conector is pressed by leg and that causes shutters, I bought bt headset and I don't have that issue now

I have had the same problem with mine on Bluetooth. In my car, which I bought around the same time as the phone, my music (all audio) will often become "stuttery" and I have to disconnect and then re-connect the phone to resolve it. It will also do this when I get a phone call or text message while playing music after I hang up. I thought it was the car, since I have used this phone in a couple of rental cars with no issue, but they finally replaced the hands-free module and I still have the same issue. I reset my phone to factory to see if that was it, and it did better for a few days, but as I started adding apps back it has started doing this again. It isn't as bad as before, but it is extremely annoying. Has anyone seen this problem?
i've use a kernel manager ( ex kernel manager in my case )
then increase cpu a little bit higher value and problem solved till now
I own the max pro and when i try to use my earphones with the 3.5 headphone jack it kinda malfunctions . It bugs out , that is it keeps on increasing the volume by itself (dosent stop) , In youtube it automatically hits the 'next' button . I Tried the same with bluetooth headphone and its working fine . Is it just me or do anyone face the same problem ? Thanks in advance .

Thank you for your response but the earphone is Sony , and i previously owned a Oneplus 3T and it worked perfectly fine . I dont think its the earphone's fault . Have you been experiencing any difficulties ?
Do you use a PU back cover? There have been instances when the side grips push & mess with volume. Try again without the case. Or else, a factory reset might work...
what you do is if the headphone has any mettel part or a mike keep it far from the screen.
i have had this that if the mettel part or the part having the mike touches the screen it doesnt behave properly

I dont think thats the problem , are you implying the metal part ? as I have said before , i dont think its a problem with my headphone . Thank you for your response though .
Try changing your earphones
I also had this issue while using my JBL T150A earphones. I used have some glitches while using earphones. Some times apps started automatically as I touched the screen and started them. Scrolling through the lists also used to stop at intervals and no smooth scrolling.
Next time, I used another earphones (Mi Piston) and everything worked with them. No glitches. No "auto touch" etc.
Try giving it a shot and use another pair of earphones.
Attached image shows how my 9Gag app is highlighted due to my earphones.

Some headphones have different arrangements for mic & audio out in the jack... It may work perfectly on one phone but may not work on another... So, try another headphone first, before resetting... (i'm using a motorola headset without glitches)
Having the same issue
I'm also having the same issue. I used iPhone headphone it works after I adjust it. I tried 3 more headphones and I get headphone symbol only and not with mic one.
The volume increase decrease and all glitches are really present. I'm facing such issue for first time. I have used many smartphones but never faced so much issue related to headphone.
By the way, how is the audio quality via headphone jack on this phone?
the audio is good it depends on headphones.
Well did someone face issue like the headphone doesn't go in properly in headphone jack ..... ?
yes i did but with some force i managed it in and now it does it properly.

I have some problem like this i been buying max pro m1 two day ago and try use two different headset sony and samsung but doesn't work and i try with another phone and working i know this not my headset fault ,maybe my jack 3,55 is trouble so somebody please tell me about this sorry my English not good
I also face the same problem but what I found that the headphone jack is a tight fit for most of the headphone/earphones but gentle push might work.
I am using "1more Piston Fit" at present and they works way to much good.
Try your luck at Paytm and grab that.
yes, I have bought the asus zenfone max pro m1 two days earlier, and when im trying to insert my earphone into the 3.5 mm jack, its not working properly. It malfunctions, and get disconnected by itself.

i experienced it too. so, i pushed the pin harder into the 3.5mm jack; it fit snugly and the sound is uninterrupted now.
