Getting the SIM card tray out - Moto X Pure. - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I hard a hard time re-opening the SIM card tray on the Moto X Pure. After finally getting it open, I figure out the trick.
First we have to understand the inside.

The tray opens when we push the lever beneath the pin hole downwards. As with any lever, the further out you apply the "force" the more the "torque", making it easier to open.
As such when you push the SIM tool (or the needle) down the pin hole, try to push it slightly toward the "end" of the lever. In the case of the Moto X Pure that would be to the side of the pin hole, more toward the headphone opening. That will make it much easier to open.

Visible black line while taking pictures

I've dropped my phone on a soft floor. Now there is no visible damage, but when I try to take a picture with the rear camera, I can see a visible line overlaying my picture. I've included a picture as an example.(http://imgur.com/cJrto2B) How can I fix this? (Samsung Repair C is not an option tho, it is the i9500, while here, in the Netherlands, the only variant available is the i9505)
I am in for any DIY option

Is it a hair in front of the lens? Maybe within the body somehow? Hate to suggest it but does it change if you tap it one way or the another at all?
Nope, the line stays static. The line is just to be a hair. Also, I've tried the 4.3 Camera app, but still persists

Strange issue on the buttons

Hi guys,
So, my S7 Edge fall and it made a tiny (-1mm) mark on the chassis near the home/apps button BUT did not broke the screen, it was literally near screen on the bezel.
Now, when I press the Back button or when I'm touching my screen it randomly open the "close apps" screen like I was pressing it...
I already tried a factory restore (I thought it was after I update it) but the issue remains...
Any advise? I did not open it already because S7 is water proof and it will be a mess to close it right? Any ideas what can cause this? Whole screen or hardware?
Thanks!

Missing part on motherboard - what is it?

I recently took my phone apart to replace the sim card module and the SD card reader (which is not working even after being replaced). I noticed there's a silver rectangular piece (an oscillator maybe?) that's missing from my mother board (see first image). In the second image from an ifixit video you can see the piece there.
Any idea what that piece is and where can I find a replacement for it???

The metal part is just shielding for the components below it. Since none of the spots underneath are populated on your board, that means your MB doesn't even have whatever feature it's for (radio maybe?) and so the shielding is not needed in the first place.

RP2 Sim Tray Fix [On A Budget]

In an effort to keep the RP2 going, out of stubbornness and resistance to change, I found a simple fix for my wobbly/subsequently broken sim tray. Digging through my box of old phones I noticed that the Samsung S7 Edge sim tray would work as a replacement and for a lot cheaper.
The RP2 OEM tray itself is of seemingly better quality (metal) but the nib (pull tab) ... whatever that jig is named, technically speaking ... is poorly engineered. Even though the S7 Edge tray is plastic, it never failed in 3 1/2 years hard usage. I'll order another S7E tray to match color.

How to reattach volume/power buttons?

I opened my Mi 9T to replace the broken screen and accidentally removed the buttons while doing so. The problem is whenever I put them back in they just fall out again, but they do work while inside the phone. I wasn't able to find any video or guide on this topic, so I'm hoping I can get some help here. Please see the attached photo. I think there must be a specific order and orientation in which these parts have to be inserted.

ok, I figured it out myself.
For the people arriving here from Google:
You have to press down the power and volume up button while inserting the metal piece and then the rubber part. This will lock in the buttons.
