I'm curious to know before making an educated purchase of the Le Pro 3 or OnePlus 3T
Thank you.
I used Greenify to hibernate the stock apps.

Hey guys, the biggest difference I experienced switching from a OnePlus 3 to a S7 edge was how smooth the OnePlus 3 was. Since the day I switched, I've been trying to replicate a similar smooth experience. So far, I've turned on - FORCE GPU RENDERING (Made some difference)
- DISABLED APPS USING BK DISABLER PRO (Memory usage lowered a little)
The smoothness of the phone is most important for me. I don't play any games on my phone, ROOTING ISN'T AN OPTION FOR ME ON THIS PHONE. Any user who has been able to get smooth UI on his/her S7 edge, please do share. I've listed my running services below, I'm open to suggestions regarding what to disable next. I don't want to mess with the core features of the phone. I'll appreciate your help
Hey guys, I'm thinking of buying a Redmi Note 7 but I've seen some reviews about MIUI being too aggressive with the RAM management, killing a lot of background apps. Is that the case using stock kernel and ROM? And if so, what can be done about it? Thanks.

Hi guys, I'm a LineageOS 14.1 user here on a Redmi Note 4.
Bought today a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, for my sister, but I forgot that MIUI comes with too much bloat and weird stuff. The interface doesn't even seems like Android to me.
I want to avoid using any MIUI apps, is there an easy way to achieve this?
Or will I have to use another ROM?
There's still no LineageOS official for this device, I'm not used to using any other ROM :/
EDIT: If I have to use another ROM, which do you recommend that totally supports the hardware of the device? (Like no issues, good camera, and etcetera)

At the moment all custom rom have a problem with video recording and WhatsApp video calling, so if you want a perfect custom rom I think you have to wait
I use the stock ROM, but I use Nova Prime for a launcher. With Nova Prime I hid most of the MIUI apps. That made it close enough to a stock Android experience for me.
Search in this forum: debloat
I flashed xiaomi.eu rom, installed a custom launcher and all google apps (contacts, phone, messaging, calc etc).
The only thing that reminds me, that I'm on miui is the notification menu and settings.
One does not simply buy a Redmi phone to not have a MIUI. Anyway, MIUI has pretty much everything so that you don't have to install many third party apps. Where's the problem? Only Bloat I can think of is MIUI forum app and it can be removed by normal means. Return it and buy MI A3, the best option.
I mean:
Compass app - handy & works fine
MI Calculator - handy
Cleaner & Optimizer - handy
MI Remote - useable and can be uninstalled
All the basic stuff like Phone, SMS are pretty much the same as Google's
Okay, one might not want to use their Browser, File manager.
That's just about it. I am on Global ROM, Europe. Do you have more bloat on yours? I admit they might differ.
Or are you afraid that MIUI's apps spy on her? Which ones aren't tho?
Same question, also is it possible without root and adb?
Like an app tu freeze unused app?

Hello guys!
I've been using my Redmi 3s 2 GB Variant for 4 years now and I want a stable android q based ROM without bugs and I don't care about battery backup or customizations because I only want a ROM which can be used as a daily driver with no bugs
And if there isn't one on android q please suggest me one pie ROM with no bugs except LineageOS
Thank you
AEX 6.7 (November build ) ran w/o any issues. At least I couldn't find one. Had it installed for 3 months or so.
AEX lagged for me too much and I had tried the same build
Please can anyone suggest any good Custom ROM based on Android 9 or 10 for THE 2 GB VARIANT which has no bugs and performs good
I really don't need battery backup or any customization
Lag is most probably on account of too little available RAM.
You could try flashing Nanodroid microG + low RAM enabler package. Together should net RAM savings anywhere from 200-400MB. Also maybe look into Android Go apps like Gmail Go, Maps Go etc. I replaced SwiftKey with no-frills one like Old Keyboard(T9 only, no swipe) which consumes only 10MB vs 70-100MB. AnySoft is a feature-rich alternative but consumes less RAM. Among mainstream launchers Nova is still pretty light. Also Web versions/PWA wherever possible instead of a separate app. Titanium Backup to freeze infrequently used yet oft-running apps. F-Droid hosts plenty of lightweight yet surprisingly well-featured alternatives.
Edit: I found Kiwi Browser (even with a handful of extensions enabled) to be quite good in terms of tabs being retained for a reasonable length of time. Better than Samsung Browser and even Chrome.

Hii, i use redmi 3s with 2gb variant, and im playing pubg mobile also xD, try Paranoid Android unofficial for android 10
or try aosip pie 26 march 2020 build
Since 2019 I've been running ResurrectionRemix 6.2.1 (Android 8.1), and since I still don't see any new phones I like, I'm preparing to upgrade to a newer ROM, probably crDroid 7.18 (Android 11). So, I'm putting lots of prep into figuring out what GAPPS to pre-install with it, to take advantage of any new/cool stuff since 2019 while trying to minimize storage and RAM usage because it's still just a Galaxy S5 to work with. I see one of the GAPPS is "Action Services", which provides support services for the Pixel Launcher. I'm currently using Nova Launcher and am "satisfied" with it and like its customizations, but I also am curious what the Pixel Launcher brings to the table and if whatever cool features it has are actually USABLE with the meager RAM and CPU resources of a S5.
Since I would have to pre-install the extra Action Services via GAPPS in order to even try out the Pixel Launcher, I would like to figure out in advance whether Pixel Launcher is the way to go, so, I'm hoping there are some people out there who have toyed with the Pixel Launcher and are also familiar enough with Nova Launcher to give me their informed opinions on the comparable strengths/weaknesses of them and which one they prefer.
