Android 7 port? - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Would it be possible to port android 7 to the s6 edge+?
just saw the beta is out here
http://www.sammobile.com/2016/11/04/samsung-starts-android-nougat-beta-test-galaxy-s7-edge-uk/

The beta isn't out there, the beta tester app exists but it does nothing, only shows an error when opening. I doubt that porting an Android version that isn't released for this device is possible due to driver issues etc, until a beta comes out for this device, at least (example is the lack of any Samsung based ported ROMs over 4.4 Kitkat for the Galaxy S3, 4.4 was the last official version from Samsung for the S3, and porting 5.0+ ROMs isn't possible because of that). And it wouldn't be worth it anyway, because in a few weeks the beta will come to this device too :good:

[Q] A TW5 port?

I've seen very talented people on these forums and I'm curious if anyone's working on a port of Samsung's latest software.
That would be so good! I would be satisfied if samsung give us atleast a touchwizz update since lolipop is cancelled...
The Lollipop update is, maybe, our last hope. But I've seen some Galaxy Grand 2 developers working on a project which is a port of the S5 Mini's Stock Lollipop ROM. If the port works, it could be ported to GS3 Neo (both variants), Galaxy Grand Neo, and others.
Have patience! We will have TW Lollipop in our devices soon!

I'm very unhappy to say this but the project seems to be discontinued
Maybe we just have to wait that the s5 mini lollipop update is relased. A port of his kitkat rom was already made.

Samsung galaxy note 4 n910c 64bits enabled-activated in android MarshMallow 6.0 ?

What do you think?
Samsung will activate 64bits in android 6.0 or not?
I hope that .... yes definitively.
they might even not upgrade it to marshmallow. Enabling 64bit Neverrrrrrr
Dont think will be get update to 6 but no 64bit
Will be fine if samsung update TW to last one with theme support
Unfortunately they will not bcz note5 will sucks
If n4 support 64bit and all ported roms will works completely samsung stupid company note4 have all note5 features but all this locked because it bootloader no way note4 now sucks may we will get android mm by 2017 samsung now for me dead no samsung devices any more Google nexus better

Is there any chance lollipop/mm based miui for 1+1?

I love miui but use Kitkat no longer makes sense
Now there's no chance for any phone. Miui have to update the sources to other android versions (lollipop and marshmallow). Miui for marshmallow is out for some xiaomi devices so maybe they update the patchrom soon.

dont think so. Miui based on lollipop for xiaomi devices has been out for quite some time still ported ones for ours has been on 4.4.4. There's little chance.
I love MIUI too, but it's stuck on KitKat forever.
Hoping to see if it gets updated to Lollipop or Marshmallow.

Android 7 for S6 Edge+

Is there already an Android 7 ROM ported to the S6 Edge Plus?
+1..
Sent from my SM-G928F using XDA-Developers mobile app
You can't port a ROM with a different OS version, if there isn't an official Android 7.0 released to this device yet, there can't be a ported ROM. Main example is the lack of any ported 5.0 and up Android version ROM for the Galaxy S3, even though it has a huge developer base
please wait
Galaxy S7E beta

Android Oreo Custom Rom (AOSP)

Could we please have some devs working on Android Oreo for SM-T530 using the AOSP (like sub77 :good. It would be very nice to have the latest version of Android on tab 4 since the update isn't going to come out through a Samsung OTA. Me and the rest of the community that uses the tab 4 would be very happy if it came out .
