[Q] A TW5 port? - Galaxy S3 Neo Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've seen very talented people on these forums and I'm curious if anyone's working on a port of Samsung's latest software.

That would be so good! I would be satisfied if samsung give us atleast a touchwizz update since lolipop is cancelled...

The Lollipop update is, maybe, our last hope. But I've seen some Galaxy Grand 2 developers working on a project which is a port of the S5 Mini's Stock Lollipop ROM. If the port works, it could be ported to GS3 Neo (both variants), Galaxy Grand Neo, and others.
Have patience! We will have TW Lollipop in our devices soon!

I'm very unhappy to say this but the project seems to be discontinued
Maybe we just have to wait that the s5 mini lollipop update is relased. A port of his kitkat rom was already made.

and s5 mini duos have Exynos 3 Quad 3470
Evan s3 neo have TW 5.1.1 custom rom

No way it can be done that easily. To do such a thing you will need to have high skills in programming, and a lot of patience.
At this point trying to port a lollipop rom to a 4 years old device is a little bit a waste of time considering all the work it takes for less popular device.
But bro, Galaxy grand 2 such a very old phone and get tw lollipop Custom rom.
so i have request for developers to make tw lollipop rom for our note 2..

The Galaxy Mega 2 of AT&T (G750A)has an Exynos 4415 that it is very similar to Exynos 4412 that has on S3/N2, (I9300-N7100). The Mega 2 of AT&T has 5.1.1 Lollipop official TW but this firmware is paied, no other variant of Mega 2 has lollipop, only if the port can be done, must be with 5.1.1 of G750A. Only Mega 2 has an Exynos 4 platform SoC. 4415 and 4412 run at 1,4 GHz, and has the same GPU Mali 400MP4.

Yes here come the prob The Mega 2 of AT&T has 5.1.1 Lollipop official TW but this firmware is paied, no other variant of Mega 2 has lollipop,
For porting we need dump files of LP and
Unlucky N2 lovers we dont have a dump file source till now from this LP update...

Yes you are right, but at the moment I don´t found any system dump, but the firm was released on September 2015.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus Custom Rom

Good day.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo that runs on Android 4.4.4.
I'd like to upgrade to 5.0 or 6.0, using a custom rom.
Whether we can help someone find something like that can install 5.0 or 6.0.
And if there is a possibility that the CM13 port for my Grand Neo Plus?
How could it do that?

Wait for it. Porting for Grand 2 is WIP hopefully the developer will add support for S3 neo too like the motion rom
