Bootloop, no recovery even after flashing stock image - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Interesting problem here. Been running 7.0 fine for a while then all of a sudden got some random reboots and one day a bootloop. Weird, so I flashed the factory image, and everything was fine. Then I updated to the 7.1.1 preview build, where the phone kept stuttering and shutting off.
Decided to go back to 7.0 image, so I flashed it. Now I'm in a bootloop and the phone won't boot into system, recovery, or anything. Only the bootloader if I hold power down. I've tried flashing the image again, flashing 6.0 image, erasing userdata and cache, and nothing has worked.
I wasn't rooted or using TWRP or any custom ROM. Just an unlocked bootloader.
Any help? Sounds like a hardware failure to me.

Basically some 6P's are bricking and nobody has a solution. I haven't resolved it

Have you tried advance wipe - wipe system then reinstall? That's what I had to do

Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...r-bootloop-t3454938/post68872362#post68872362
It worked for me!

HELP! Radio flashing problem!

Wiped efs and I'm running stock ota pre rooted 2.3.4 I have s-off supercid etc.. Restoring now to see if that works. I already tried reflashing the new radio and the original radio. No luck. HELP!

Everything works, I've wiped restores everything i can find, but yes everything works even data, except when online it will not connect to particular sites. For example google loads and does searches, but if i try to go to yahoo it will not load gives me the 404 or whatever error. I tried one of my banks and it doesn't work, but the other bank site does. I can browse on 4g but if i try the speedtest app it says network issues try again. It's so weird! I cannot for the life of me get it to work.

ahh, I had some issues after wiping efs. I didn't troubleshoot it thoroughly, but it seemed better after restoring the backup partitions.
ok it seems i got it working...i restored to my last backup, restored all my apps and system data via TB, and fixed permissions. After a reboot it looks like that did the trick it's working now. Thanks guys!

[Q] Factory Reset before custome ROM

I am pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I am just asking to be sure. I was looking at installing the "Tiamat Xoom Rom 2.2.1 - Moray", and I noticed that it said if I was not upgrading from Hammerhead, I needed to do a factory reset prior to flashing the ROM. I am not coming from Hammerhead, so I looked up the instructions on it, and it say "Factory Reset". So it looks like I am going to have to do a factory reset either way. True?
Can I ask why the need for the factory reset? I am sure there is a simple answer I am just not seeing, but it the ROM is going to overwrite my existing setup anyway, why the need for the Reset?

If you have any changes to critical files (different from pure stock or the related Hammerhead rom), the Moray rom won't boot properly. It's worthwhile to just do the wipe data/factory reset than to try not to do it and end up looping.
Guess I didn't finish reading the instructions. It says that due to some bug fixes, a factory rest is required. Answers that question.
Opps, didn't see your post okantomi, but you said the same thing.
Next, it says powered by the Tiamat 2.1.0 Stock GPU Kernel. If I have the gpuOC already installed, to I need to switxh that first, or does that also happen with the ROM flash?

I just flashed the oc gpu kernel over the Moray 2.2.1 rom update. Seems to work fine.
So... I went ahead and switched to the Stock GPU Kernel, have performed my Titanium and Nandroid Backups, and am ready to Wipe and Flash the ROM.
I am going to do the wipe in CWM, can I then install the ROM immediatly after from within CWM with the Install from Zip option?
Thanks

So everything came up perfect. I love it, but I do have a question that has nothing to do with the ROM, if anyone doesn't mind.
Since I had to factory rest it before applying the ROM, it is attempting to download all my apps from Google. If I go into the market they all show they are waiting to download, but none has started yet. I have always noticed this on my Xoom, that unlike my X which starts downloads right away, the Xoom takes weird random amounts of time to start the downloads, even if its just one app.
Any idea why?

Here's a tip...since you backed up with Titanium, go into it and from batch, just choose restore MISSING APPS AND DATA. Don't restore system apps and/or data.
Hmmm, I think that would have required some fore thought, like putting the APK for Titanium into the the install_on_first_boot folder, cause after it rebooted, Titanium wasn't installed, and niether was a File Manger in order for me to install it, until it downloaded from the Market
Hindsight, huh!

Yes, it's very awesome, but some settings are still missing. To be expected from a first build
OMG! There's a release already!!!
How's the RAM performance? Max free? Anyone?
The phone runs smooth. I am currently in the process of trying out ART. Don't know max free. It will take a while for that to appear since only a handful of people flashed it.
I mean approximately? In Kitkang they got 170MB I think?
---------- Post added at 04:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:43 PM ----------
By the way, after installation of this can we do updates with dirty flashing from this build? Even if we use ART?
Just had a reboot on ART around 1 minute after booting. Stay tuned.
EDIT: false alarm. Everything seems to be in order with ART. And a tad snappier too
What do you use to backup and restore SMS?
I'm using Nandroid Manager but it doesn't seem to work. OTL
Go Backup. Works like a charm.
But I only have Nandroid backup... OTL

Haven't seen any bugs, just features that haven't been ported yet. I did a dirty flash and it looks fine but I intend to do a full wipe and only restore apps tomorrow or the day after that.

[Q] Galaxy S5 G900F + TWRP 2.8.3.0 + CM11 = wrong date & time

Hi, I have some weird behavior with date and time in CM11 and CM12 - through settings i try network time and then manually but after reboot it reverts back to 1st January 2014 - Very Strange and anoying!!!
Then if i connect wifi or data on phone, the time goes correct!
Another strange thing that in TWRP time is total different from actual and that reverted in CM11. So I have three "times": original we live in, for CM11 or CM12 after reboot and for TWRP What can i do?
What i have tried:
Factory reset
Tried CM11 and CM12
Other versions of TWRP
Tried ktoonsez kernel.
Im out of options, what i need to do? Im very very upset and tired of this problem.
Please help guys

Strange thing. I got official mm rooted and twrp installed. When i trying to flash via twrp any custom rom... after reboot the system loading stops in Samsung Logo.
Am I doing something wrong? Exynos ver. Twrp:newest
Sounds like you haven't done a factory reset or wiped cache within recovery. Also, how long does the device stay on the Samsung logo for? You might need to wait a while for the device to boot after the ROM is flashed. Try the reset/wipe cache in recovery first then reflash the rom
