Ok so i flashed my radio and everything seemed to be working great, then after a few minutes my data looks normal but it won't load pages or allow certain apps access. Wiped efs and I'm running stock ota pre rooted 2.3.4 I have s-off supercid etc.. Restoring now to see if that works. I already tried reflashing the new radio and the original radio. No luck. HELP!

Everything works, I've wiped restores everything i can find, but yes everything works even data, except when online it will not connect to particular sites. For example google loads and does searches, but if i try to go to yahoo it will not load gives me the 404 or whatever error. I tried one of my banks and it doesn't work, but the other bank site does. I can browse on 4g but if i try the speedtest app it says network issues try again. It's so weird! I cannot for the life of me get it to work.

What can I try? Am I missing a setting? Could the hboot or something cause the reflashed radio's not to work? I'm running lean here...
---------- Post added at 10:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:31 PM ----------
I have also tried fixing permissions

If it helps everything seemed fine after the first radio update (the recommended one as per here) it wasn't until after i wiped efs as recommended that the problem cropped up...

ahh, I had some issues after wiping efs. I didn't troubleshoot it thoroughly, but it seemed better after restoring the backup partitions.
ok it seems i got it working...i restored to my last backup, restored all my apps and system data via TB, and fixed permissions. After a reboot it looks like that did the trick it's working now. Thanks guys!

I am pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I am just asking to be sure. I was looking at installing the "Tiamat Xoom Rom 2.2.1 - Moray", and I noticed that it said if I was not upgrading from Hammerhead, I needed to do a factory reset prior to flashing the ROM. I am not coming from Hammerhead, so I looked up the instructions on it, and it say "Factory Reset". So it looks like I am going to have to do a factory reset either way. True?
Can I ask why the need for the factory reset? I am sure there is a simple answer I am just not seeing, but it the ROM is going to overwrite my existing setup anyway, why the need for the Reset?

If you have any changes to critical files (different from pure stock or the related Hammerhead rom), the Moray rom won't boot properly. It's worthwhile to just do the wipe data/factory reset than to try not to do it and end up looping.
Guess I didn't finish reading the instructions. It says that due to some bug fixes, a factory rest is required. Answers that question.
Opps, didn't see your post okantomi, but you said the same thing.
Next, it says powered by the Tiamat 2.1.0 Stock GPU Kernel. If I have the gpuOC already installed, to I need to switxh that first, or does that also happen with the ROM flash?

I just flashed the oc gpu kernel over the Moray 2.2.1 rom update. Seems to work fine.
So... I went ahead and switched to the Stock GPU Kernel, have performed my Titanium and Nandroid Backups, and am ready to Wipe and Flash the ROM.
I am going to do the wipe in CWM, can I then install the ROM immediatly after from within CWM with the Install from Zip option?
Thanks

So everything came up perfect. I love it, but I do have a question that has nothing to do with the ROM, if anyone doesn't mind.
Since I had to factory rest it before applying the ROM, it is attempting to download all my apps from Google. If I go into the market they all show they are waiting to download, but none has started yet. I have always noticed this on my Xoom, that unlike my X which starts downloads right away, the Xoom takes weird random amounts of time to start the downloads, even if its just one app.
Any idea why?

Here's a tip...since you backed up with Titanium, go into it and from batch, just choose restore MISSING APPS AND DATA. Don't restore system apps and/or data.
Hmmm, I think that would have required some fore thought, like putting the APK for Titanium into the the install_on_first_boot folder, cause after it rebooted, Titanium wasn't installed, and niether was a File Manger in order for me to install it, until it downloaded from the Market
Hindsight, huh!
I would like to ask at development forum, but i must have 10 post to do it, since ive ever read the forum and never had the need for asking.
so here is my question,
ive installed this mod cm72-111115.0500-Milestone2-Final-v3.0-signed
and since iam having problems iam looking for an update , and found this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1338183
So, am i able to update my current system to this? will i lose the information? or this is just an update?
thanks for the patient,
here is cm7 compiled for MS2 ..
Well.. Easy thing would be to make a full backup in cwm, try it, and if you have to do data wipe, jUSSR bail and restore the backup. But I'm fairly sure you only need to do cache wipe and dalvik cache wipe though, and keep data as is
---------- Post added at 08:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:46 PM ----------
Why did you link him to the same thread he linked to :s
judging from the file name of your current cm7, i believe it is defy port made by Endles7. I dont see any issue that might destroy your data if you flash the newest version from tezet (the one in your link). just need wipe cache, dalvik, and battery stat like DreadPirateDan said
Thank to all you guys, iam updating it right now.
Nice update, but its not connecting to the provider.
all other things are working well.
Hello,
yesterday my phone lost the data connection - without any changes by me.
I tried to reset the APN, factory-resetted the device and also flash an new stock rom via odin, but nothing changed.
My IMEI is the right...
Its working on another phone.
Do you have any idea, whats wrong?
Thanks.
Your phone number is unknown... Dunno if some phones display this like this, but for me I have a number displayed here. Have you tried flashing the same firmware you are using thru Odin? If you flash without wipes should keep your OS intact but maybe restore anything that may have been corrupted. If you have root make a backup of your EFS folder now, though maybe to late if things have gone wrong with that already. Also have you checked with your service provider for network outages?
I reflashed my Rom sometimes but it doesnt change anything..
I made a EFS-Backup some days before.
After restore - no changes...
I got mobile data with another phone and this sim-card and same apn
Thanks for your answer
I checked my efs partition, it does not contain any nv_data.bin / nv_data.bak
Could this be the problem?
No idea?

I've checked my EFS folder and don't have these files. Think that was on older Galaxy models.

Also just throwing this out there but have you tried using Kies to factory restore your phone. Can have different results than using Odin. Just an idea...

Strange thing. I got official mm rooted and twrp installed. When i trying to flash via twrp any custom rom... after reboot the system loading stops in Samsung Logo.
Am I doing something wrong? Exynos ver. Twrp:newest
Sounds like you haven't done a factory reset or wiped cache within recovery. Also, how long does the device stay on the Samsung logo for? You might need to wait a while for the device to boot after the ROM is flashed. Try the reset/wipe cache in recovery first then reflash the rom

You had right. First boot takes long time
Interesting problem here. Been running 7.0 fine for a while then all of a sudden got some random reboots and one day a bootloop. Weird, so I flashed the factory image, and everything was fine. Then I updated to the 7.1.1 preview build, where the phone kept stuttering and shutting off.
Decided to go back to 7.0 image, so I flashed it. Now I'm in a bootloop and the phone won't boot into system, recovery, or anything. Only the bootloader if I hold power down. I've tried flashing the image again, flashing 6.0 image, erasing userdata and cache, and nothing has worked.
I wasn't rooted or using TWRP or any custom ROM. Just an unlocked bootloader.
Any help? Sounds like a hardware failure to me.

Basically some 6P's are bricking and nobody has a solution. I haven't resolved it
Have you tried advance wipe - wipe system then reinstall? That's what I had to do
Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...r-bootloop-t3454938/post68872362#post68872362
It worked for me!
