Okay from the beginning. I first tried to root my galaxy s4(mk2) using klingo. That pushed the weird Chinese version superuser and put the custom boot logo on. Strangely though i still didn't have root access (tried checking with root checker said i didn't have it). So then i was like whatever and continued on with my day. After three or so days i came across this root method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565758 . So I did it step by step, it pushed supersu onto my device but i still don't have root access and it doesn't let me uninstall superuser or supersu. Any ideas of how i can get root and/or uninstall superuser and supersu and getting rid of the custom boot logo.
I have a SM-G900W8 currently on stock Android 5.1.1. I rooted my device with Odin. My phone was supposed to boot into recovery on it's own during the rooting process, which it didnt. It just rebooted normally. SuperSU wasnt in my apps so I downloaded it from the PlayStore and downloaded also a root checker. The Root Checker confirmed that my phone was rooted. When I open SuperSU, I see the Root Checker app in the apps tab. But SuperSu then asks to update binary and when I press yes, it fails everytime and asks me to reboot and try again. Any ideas ?
I recently rooted my S7 Edge. However, after rooting, I realized that my Pokemon Go(hehe ) is not allowing me to catch pokemons cuz it detects my rooted phone.
Thus, I tried to use Hide my Root app to hide the su binary. However, it says that it cannot find the su binary. I reinstalled SuperSU and it says that it has successfully updated the file. I also checked using a root checker and it found it. I tried a couple other apps and all can't seem to fix this.
A while back, I tried to unroot it from the SuperSU app but then I got stuck in a bootloop. Thus, I had to reroot my phone using Odin and the same root firmware to get it out of the loop and run back normally. I am from Indonesia and I can't find the stock firmware of my country... I am so frustrated...
Can anyone help me out with this? If I can't get the su binary issue fixed, I wanna unroot it but I am worried that it will get stuck in another bootloop if I'll be installing the firmware of another country...
Someone please help me... I'm new to this... D,:
what csc are you on?
same here. stock firmware for indonesia haven't released yet
I got it rooted but just the first apps that required root got access granted now when i use root checker or want to use a root firewall it says it's not rooted. Root checker says its not rooted. But i granted 4 apps and now suddenly its not rooted anymore. How can that happen i even got superSU pro. Tried to root again with Odin still same problem. Only got the 4 first apps i installed that required root then its not rooted anymore.
I am trying to root my S5 G900F phone by flashing through odin, but the SuperSU keep says that su binary was not installed. I have tried to use other rooting method like KingRoot and one click root bus was unsuccessful. I have tried to manually installed su binary through flashing in twrp but also fails. I have been seeking the solution in the web but it seems that all of the solution for the su binary not installed problem does not work for me. Is there another way to root the phone? Thanks.
Is the oem unlock in the developer options on?
The method used here is outdated (CF auto root). The current method is to first flash TWRP in ODIN, then immediately flash the SuperSU zip in TWRP.
The alternative way is to use magisk for hiding root.
