Advanced Calling with root? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answers

I am trying to get the advanced calling working with root so I can make a phone call and use data at the same time. I am using echoe rom now and the only option i get in settings>advanced calling is "activate advanced calling" and even after a restart that does nothing. I am thinking there was too much Verizon bloat removed and it doesn't work anymore in this rom. Are any of you able to get this feature working? I've searched most the forums but i can't seem to find anything.
EDIT: Tried flashing this HD Calling fix https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24588212152304773 it seems my advanced calling in settings has disappeared now and i still cant use data while on a call.

I'm running echoe rom and have it working but I've had advance calling active since my Galaxy Note 4 so maybe something there

are you on version 1.2 or 1.41? I'm going to try a full wipe and install 1.41 then. Do you by chance know what install options you picked?

When I did a fresh flash it says "Unable to activate: Make sure you are using the latest version of My Verizon Mobile to activate Advanced Calling" Did you have to download My Verizon? I do still have my Note 4 I could try to activate it on there then switch the sim card back I guess.

I never use my Verizon personally it's on the device but I don't use it also Im using v 1.2 which is the only one on xda I selected normal option verizon as carrier ux grace apps s7 camera I only removed a few apps hal services and s heath all other I freeze with titanium did the full wipe

OK we are all the same there except the UX grace apps which I don't think matter? I attached my screens of my advanced call settings and activation process, install my verizon after that second screen to get to the third, then restarted after that last one and it does nothing, back where i started. I am going to try activating it in my Note 4 when I get home and maybe that will help. Thanks for the help so far, at least I know it can work on this rom now

Did a TIBU backup and then I wiped everything and started from scratch with the newest verzion firmware (G935VVRS4APH1_CL8875708_QB10880117_REV02_user_low_ ship_MULTI_CERT) from here.I still couldn't get it working so I started a chat with Verizon and resynced everything and we got it working after a bit.
Then I just went through the motions again, did everything in here to get the U firmware, root, and fixes. Verified advanced calling was still working then flashed Echoe and restored apps/data through TIBU.

Good deal forgot to mention I started from Ph1 myself probably should have said that

[Q] Galaxy S4 can't send/receive calls and SMSs

Hello guys!
In the past, I faced some similar problems with my Galaxy S3 because I was a mad ROMs tester, so one time the baseband messed up with me and I lost all the network abilities, but I managed to deal with that..
Today it's my dad's issue, he likes to keep everything on stock, but rooted...
So he updated his I9505 to the latest Lollipop version, then he rooted it..
Today he told me that he can't make or receive ANY calls or SMSs, but the mobile data is still working as it should.
He can't remember if the problem started before or after updating.. So I tried the following:
• Did a factory reset.
• flashed a clean 4 files firmware through ODIN.
• took the SIM away and tested it on another devices, it works fine.
• Downgraded to KitKat and flashed the proper modem and bootloader.
Nothing helped [emoji17][emoji17]
So I wish that you guys, can do your best to help me..
P.S. The IMEI serial number is fine ( no null/null or imilar errors ).

Can I just use this link to flash the modem and the boot loader only without the whole firmware?

The other place to get the full ROM is samsung-updates.com. However, for your issue, flashing just the modem and bootloader should be sufficient.

I'm totally shocked now!! I tried a SIM card from another carrier ( which I never tested before ) and it works perfectly!! So now I'll try the main SIM card, maybe I can fet some luck..
So that means no hardware issues?

It could simply be SIM card issues, yes. Definitely not hardware if it works with another SIM.

S6 Edge+ Roms working on Note 5

I wanted to flash something new after trying all MM roms on my note 5 920G. A small thought ateuck to my mind to flash s6E+ rom to see what would happen. I downloaded the rom took all my backups and i was ready to flash. I was also scared knowing that maximum it would just aoft brick the device that is that is what max could happen to my lovely note 5.
Made sure modem and boot filea are not inside the rom zip, Pushed the rom performed nand backup, flashed the rom and flashed the sky high kernel for note 5. Now it was time to revoot the device. My heart was pumping to see what would happen kept my fingers crosses and wanted the device to bootup.
To my surprise first boot was bootloop and it aut rebooted and i waited paite tly for 10mins. After that i saw welcome screen and j was ery happy that s6e+ roms are working fine.
Below are few screenshots.

I firstly needed to use a N920C kernel for the soft keys to function correctly, for the Spen features you required the Air command and Spen Apks and libs. The firmware of the two devices are almost identical so the features activate automatically after that. However I haven't tried it on Marshmallow.

You can root by installing TWRP using ODIN.
Updated my phone (which is not on Sprint Network as I live outside US) and must say, I'm quite impressed. There are no noticible UI changes but the system feels more snappier than before. I guess the Doze settings have been worked too because of which battery life has improved a tad bit.
Anyone know what Sprint meant by "Resolution to lock screen production issue"?

Used to get lock ups/crashes every day on MM until this update. Haven't had a crash since PG1 flashed. Maybe that's what

Hot-spot mods of previous builds will not work. If you want, you can use pdanet or FoxiFi for it (no need of a rooted phone).
For Xposed, you can flash the zip available on XDA but you will require root for it.
PG1 source code isnt out, so developers will be behind still.

U don't have you screen set to compact mode by any chance? As I believe u can't add cards in that mode.
Do you mean "condensed" display scaling? I'm in that mode, and adding a card was fine.
Been using Android Pay with custom rom and root since I got my S7E and never had a problem
I normally root my phone as soon as I get it, but I have not rooted this one yet because everyone was saying it didn't work with root. Well I know how I'm gonna spend my day off now, cheers again guys

Works for me, but there's a twist:
No more chainfire SuperSu, you must use a different root method: phh's Superuser (more info here) and, if you use Xposed, a systemless Xposed installation.
To use Android Pay, your root access is temporarly disabled (5 minutes by default), and re-enable itself automatically.
Rooted here, with condensed display, android pay is working fine

I've recently got the G930FD, updated to the latest Nougat, unlocked the btl, flashed twrp, rooted (SuperSU), and, to my surprise, Android pay... works!!!
My only explanation to this, is maybe, just maybe, an S7 got a hardware trust zone with Google making an exception in this case. I'd be glad if this is, indeed, the case.
Notes:
* Android pay didn't work on my previous rooted phone (LG G4, H815).
* I did absolutely nothing special whatsoever.
* System partition is close to, but noy 100% stock.
* Bootloader unlocked.
* Custom recovery present.
* Evrything above trips SafetyNet (tested).
Works for me too on my S7 Edge. Using 6.0.1 with systemless root/Magisk, although I'm pretty sure I added my first card to AP before I rooted. However since then, I have added/deleted other cards from AP without a problem.

AT&T Nougat ROM Carrier aggregation

On my S7 edge,i have flashed between all the different roms but since my HD Voice,Wi-Fi Calling, and VoLTE (All very important features for me) don't work, I reverted to my stock rom. the carrier aggregation says "CA-not configured 00" and was getting 50% worse speeds than my two year old iPad Air 2. I have ran it on many different cell towers which I know have the Carrier aggregation enabled but it sill wouldn't connect.
It may have gotten disabled somehow. CA can be enabled/disabled in the Service Menus

It seems that the code to get there has been disabled in 7.0
AT&T variant had a code on MM that you type into the dialer to being up one of the Service Menus. The code for the Verizon variant is *#27663368378# and can be accessed after root & modification to one of the carrier files for Hidden Menus.
I believe the code was *#197328640# but like I said they appear to be dead now.

In addition to re-ODINing the phone,I also flashed the Verizon firmware and rooted it to get the carrier aggregarion menu and when I put it back to the AT&T firmware,i still got the CA-Not Config 0 0 status in the servicemenu. On the tmobile firmware the 3x carrier aggregations work (I don't have another phone to see if AT&T CA works and I'm still waiting for my T-Mobile SIM to see if it's not the phone itself that's wrong)
