hello guys, can you please help me figuring out how to connect the s7 edge to the glyph headset that uses hdmi
https://www.avegant.com/
please can you share what adapter and cables i need to buy from ebay to avoid buying the wrong things
I know that i need a power bank for this to work as that is what i see being mentioned but i am not sure if they mean that for s7 edge as well
and how shall i connect things where does each cable go to?
I want to avoid using wifi in connecting s7 edge to the glyph so i need a cable solution
I have never used Avegant, but why don't you send them an email? They should be more than willing to clarify that out.

Hello everyone.
I am currently modding Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 for car instalation and everything seems to be great except I have problems with two things:
1) As the tab will be also my main music player I would need an USB host from time to time (check: http://www.expansys.si/samsung-usb-adapter-for-galaxy-tab-series-no-30-pin-to-sd-slot-229630/ ). It would be hard to switch that adapter with power supply just for the time I need to stick USB in it so I am asking if anyone knows if it is possible to have both active at the same time: power supply and USB host? Or if anyone has some other interesting idea how to transfer data to tablet asap from time to time? Please note that it will be really hard to reach it when installed.
2) Since the tab has back camera (which is useless to me in cars interior) i was thinking if there is any possible way to get that camera out of the tab with some extender or something? I've been looking at the interior of a tablet and the camera doesnt look to be attach in any other way than just a flat cable. Any ideas?
Thank you guys for your help in advance!

It sound like this will be a permanent installation.
Instead of €22 for an adapter, I'd rather use a breakout and hardwire:
http://www.kineteka.com/galaxy-tab-connector.aspx
This will also allow you to wire the earphone output also.
Yes, with many devices you can charge and do host mode at the same time.
It's mostly a question of convincing your device to play nicely with a non-standard operation.
You can just bring out the USB leads or hardwire in a hub for more options, like a keyboard.
I'd use a DC converter circuit board hardwired instead of a cigarette lighter adaptor.
Something like this, maybe: http://www.lightobject.com/LM2576-High-Input-7V40V-Switching-5V-Power-Module-Regulator-P549.aspx
I think somewhere in the Tab 10.1 forums, someone figured out the proper wiring for a powered USB host adapter. 90% certain that would also work on Tab 2 7.0
hi I just bought a Samsung s4 and the mini usb charging port is faulty but when I took it apart the metal shield that cover the port is missing. does anyone know the correct name for this part please so I can try and buy one or if you know where I can buy one even better. I cant even seem to find a photo of it online
thanks for any help
The only thing stopping me from pushing the order button on the S7E is the apparant lack of support for MHL.
I travel a lot so it comes in very useful to connect my current Sony Z3 to any TV with a HDMI port.
I need something that does NOT require wifi to mirror the phone to the TV as a lot of the time it is unstable/unavailable.
Is there anything out there now, or in the future that will be able to do this?
And has anybody tried a MHL adapter with their S7E to see what happens, if anything?
Thanks
Supposedly you can connect wirelessly with an actiontec ScreenBeam Mini 2. Plug it into the HDMI port, and use "Quick Connect" on the GS7 Edge. I know it worked on the GS6 Edge...
yes
The note edge for sure. Also the note 4 and the S3 through 5
Hi folks.
So i've cracked my galaxy s8 phone and i obviusoly cant access or use the phone. My question is how do i connect my phone to my pc . Obviously i can use the hdmi wire but i want to incorporate my mouse/keyboard in the hopes of connecting to my phone etc.
Ive bought one of those 3in1 adaptors (hdmi, usbc, usb) in the hopes of doing just that. Now as you can see ive connected thw adaptor to the phone and the hdmi (one end to the pc and one to the mobile) but it keeps saying no signal.
Anyhelp would be appreciated.
Try Samsung dex. It is designed to use your S8 with keyboard etc.. That if you don't mind spending another 100$ for it..

From what I can tell only certain ones will work, your best option is to buy a pair that comes with the note 10, they are akg ones with usb-c connection. I've tried a random no name adaptor and it didn't work either
