Hi, I bought the Pegasus 3 from Tinydeal (German warehouse) so I received it with Global ROM. Looked to be perfect, but I couldn't make or receive any phone calls because a message box kept popping up: ASUS calling screen has stopped.
So then I tried updating the firmware (it said there was one available) but it stopped halfway during installation. After that I tried installing the new firmware manually, but I overlooked the "CN" part So I was stuck on Chinese ROM. It took some time, but following this tut: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1982587 and using this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gen...sus-3-x008-t3447614/post69293999#post69293999 I managed to get back to Global ROM.
However; still the same problem! ASUS calling screen has stopped. Is there anybody who has an idea for me to fix it? I tried using Nova Launcher, but perhaps I should try a different dialer?
One other thing: my contacts don't sync with Google, and I can't add the Google account to ASUS contacts. But Calendar, Gmail etc are all there...
I sincerely hope to be able to use this phone!
I think I may have a clue on the issue; it seems the IMEI number is invalid. Probably after flashing the Global ROM using SP Flash tools?
So now I'm looking to edit IMEI number with MTK Droid Tool, but the device is not recognized. I installed MTK USB drivers, Android CDC drivers, tried PDAnet, ASUS PC-link but none of it works. I'm getting rather desperate :crying:
First question; to use MTK Droid Tool, should the USB be used for Charging, File transfers or USB storage? USB-debugging is on.
Second; what more can I do?

hello, your reseller seem to sell you a chinese asus version (check the firmware version if it CMCC... it is a chinese rom). The asus X008 and asus zc520tl zenfione max 3 are the same.
So if your firmware is CMCC .... nstall a fresh original rom with sp flashtools (http://www.needrom.com/download/asus-x008/), when done download the updated rom from asus (http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ZenFone/ZC520TL/UL-ASUS_X008-CN-13.0.0.12-user.zip) and put it outside folders, restart the smartphone the update will be detected.
I got the same problem as you before and now everything is ok I can call and receieve calls, the only hings is that there are only chinese and engliash languages and you have to install alternativbe store like apptoide because google services are not avalable on chinses rom.
i need help my phone is international model and i flashed this file and now i can't restore TWRP backup or needer i have imei or can detect sim card. where can i find UL-ZC520TL-WW-13.0.1.30-user but in RAW format for flashing with SPtools?

I'm really stuck with this phone I can't use right now :crying:
What would be the best way to get it working again? Currently the IMEI is wrong, so I need to root my device in order to be able to use it. The ROM I'm using right now is the adapted CN version, but ofcourse I'd love to use the (real) WW version I noticed someone found on a Russian board. What should I do?
Turn on the permissions for Asus Calling Screen, they are off by default. Hope this helps

i've got a similar problem, after flashing the rom over at needrom, my phone does not charge anymore :-/ battery reimains at 2% ... does someone here know how to fix that?
This phone has OTG update, why do you need to flash any custom rom?
You should send it in to an asus service center. Doesn't your phone have a warranty?

That's good to hear! I've been trying MAUIMeta (and SN writer) myself, but I keep running into the problem of the modem file and/or the NVRAM DB file.
What DB file do you point MAUIMeta to?

Edit: I flashed the ROM again and this time it worked!! I used the modem file BPLGUInfoCustomAppSrcP_MT6735_S00_MOLY_LR9_W1444_MD_LWTG_MP_V88_P12_1_lwg_n that I copied from the phone to my desktop. (As I did before, but this time it worked!!)

Hey guys, I've a litlle problem. I can't use my Omnia properly. I bought it today, starts it and there is no screen for setting pin. It shows me "Welcome back. Now we'll help you fiish setting up a few things". Then I click next and I see only home screen, nothing more. If I do reset it does same thing. I can select language and then I see only home screen... I can't browse web (IE does not start), I can't call, sending SMS but I can listen radio (whoa!! ). Yes, it is 8GB version, bought it from friend. It's updated to Nado by Mac's Windows Phone Conector. It looks like apps are not fully instaled, I just don't have full first start guide. Also I can't connect it with Zune, it always says Phone setup Incomplete
Hmm it seems like the update something messed up probably. I'd suggest flashing stock ROM and starting from there.
Can you just please send link to stock rom? I am kinda lost, I know how to flash but I dont know which rom is stock rom... Thanks
Any is stock, it depends on the CSC you flash. I suggest flashing XXKC1 and if you don't mind O2 logo, there is bundled O2 Czech CSC file with it. Latest ROM, latest bootloader, latest radio, latest everything. (Build 7392)

I had the exact same problem as Martan. I bought the phone off eBay it came with 7392 and could boot and access apps and marketplace,etc but not phone, messaging or internet explorer.
I then flashed with the optus firmware from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131891 but now I am stuck with version 7008 and the phone won't update any further!
What should I do here???

Could it be that the phone was not originally optus rom? Would that explain it? Do I need to find the original rom to fix this problem?

I unfortunately ****ed my Galaxy y pro, so i had to reflash it via odin but i flash it some strange rom. Now i would like to reflash it with the original one which is also more recent then this one, unfortunately kies is not allowing me to do so. So i need to apply some workarounds and for that i need the original details.

Hi,
I guess there will be one generic for central Europe. I already acquired some details from one GT B5510 sold in CZ, I'm just waiting for the product code.
After that we will see what fus will offer me
but so far I'm using one netherlands rom and it runs fine - only few minor problem which i was also experiencing in the begining when i bought the phone - sd card disconnects and no network but both this issues occurred just once
So maybe at the end I will just stick with the Netherlands ROM, cos anyway it looks completly like the one which I had before with new gui for picking up the calls.

To fix the sd card problem try changing the kernel, I had my phone with that problem and I fixed it with this way. Just look the Doky's thread about kernels

I am new to all this flashing and ROMs on phones. I have read quite a bit and the biggest thing I have gotten is, be sure you know what to do before you do it. I know this is totally noob and I appreciate the help ahead of time and will share the knowledge forward here in China. I bought a S4 (SCH-i959 from China Telecom). Super excited to have a S4 but as I turn it on, no google account and no gapps. So could someone give me a detail step by step what to do to flash them onto my phone?
I have installed KIES and the USB drivers and can successful talk between my phone and my computer. I have used KIES to backup my phone. Is there any other backups I need?
I have downloaded ODIN 3.07 on my computer and it launches fine.
I am running android 4.2.2
My current firmware is PDA:MG2 / PHONE:MF1 / CSC:MG2 (CTC)
I am happy running stock ROMs, I want to keep it simple just want to get gapps back. (China and google don't mix...)

I'm living in Beijing and I am having exactly the same problem. There doesn't seem to be any information on this phone anywhere that isn't in Chinese. I tried flashing that S4 google edition rom to my phone and now it won't even boot up. I'm not sure what I can do now.

I was just given this phone by someone and it really does suck not to be able to install GApps. Makes it pretty useless, IMHO.

I've the same problem. I've installed the M28_KHR.FN1.V003 firmware and now the screen seems reversed! :crying:

was received yesterday by ebay the problems identified is that starts charging in about 5 seconds displays charging error.
I tried for half an hour to take out and put the cord and found that the battery is charged properly and so far seems to be charged.
say be software problem and how can I fix it.

Have you read the first post? OPT and LXT for M26, M28. KHR for Uwatch U8. At least it works for me. It is possible that someone has different hardware and it does not work.

Around in the xda people says to don't risk to flash improper firmware, so if it's works for, good for you and good for who wants to try.

M26 is not compatible M28 don't install...
In my Rwatch M26 was the original firmware M28_OPT.FN1.V004. If I upload the firmware any M26 or M28 (OPT, LXT), everything is fine. If I upload the firmware KHR screen control is mirrored.

If I use mediatek smart device apk works call, sms, and app notifications, don't work camera, find phone and when I've incoming calls the app have a force close and than I must reconnect the bluetooth connection.
Is there any full work app for lollipop?!?!?!

MIUI v8 for ZTE Blade A452 (Global 8.0.2.0 version)
Hi everyone!
This is (i think...) fully functional MIUI v8 for ZTE Blade A452. According to my research, it's first working custom ROM for A452. And to be clear, I didn't port this ROM at all, I just patched Blade X3 ROM to work with A452. The biggest issue was camera. Front camera was up-down flipped and the rear was dead. I managed to fix it by replacing some libraries.
Instalation:
Flash TWRP Recovery onto your device (link to TWRP below)
Wipe device
Install the ROM by installing .zip package
Wipe the device again
Reboot and enjoy !
The device may hang in welcome creator, but just keep resetting it until you finish the creator (I'm working to fix it)
Despite first-use troubles, whole ROM work flawlessly, in my opinion a lot better than stock one.

Yes i already tried it didn't work, still apears unknown baseband and imei number, btw this phone is the same a452 but it is made here in portugal by a portuguese company called "Nos" here they changed the name of the phone to "Nos Five Dual Sim".

Hmm, maybe that's the problem. I'll try to fix it as soon as possible, do you have full backup of your ROM? If yes, try to full restore ROM and check for baseband version

First thank you very much SP2FET,
I am using the rom you patched, its working great, thank you for that.
I also lost the Imei for both SIM . I have already tried to restore the NVRAM and AT command using MTK engineering but it fails showing a warning sign after sending the AT comman. The above link you wrote asks to put the stock rom again and to delete the partition. I am trying to restore the IMEI without having to put back the stock rom.
according to this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2269740, it was the soft imei that was lost, and probably the hard imei stands.
In the mean while if anyone has a solution please share it.
Solution to the lost IMEI
I was able to solve the lost by creating a IMEI.bak with Mobileuncle MTK IMEI Write Tool and restoring IMEI using MobileUncle Tools .

Hello i instal the rom but the phone dont reconize my sims card . do you have a fix for this ? thanks
I can't change the wake up display...every 5 seconds its close the display..and also it's quite hard to scroll down the notification bar....otherwise the ROM is great and smooth
When I was downloading apps from playstore, it's cancelled by itself after the screen goes off and i have to redownload the apps again........how to fix this?

hello Andre,
this is the problem described as loss of IMEI by installing a new rom. There are many ways to fix this, I posted one solution above. Your best bet is to flash IMEI using a flashtool, can be tricky because you need to install proper drivers.

Yes is the portuguese version nos five

Yes I did...and I cant find the setting to the wake up display time...also all of the apps didnt show the notifications unless I open the apps itself...it was so slow when it loading the notification...example, I opened my whatsapp then suddenly a message that should appears an hour before just popped up when i open the apps....and i did everything u told me....
