Soak test for moto x style/pure?? - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

There is a soak test for moto G4 and G4+ available but ain't there any soak test for moto x style/pure available???

We haven't heard word of one yet... but then again, if you are part of the "soak test" you agreed to non-disclosure, so in theory they wouldn't say anyway. That said, there hasn't even been a "rumor" of one yet.

[UPDATE] Android Lollipop coming to Moto E

There is no doubt that we all were waiting for the official announcement whether Moto E would experience Lollipop !
But from now, Motorola has officially announced it. It's time to celebrate and wait for its update :silly:
According to the official Motorola Blog:
Now that Android 5.0 Lollipop will be going to the world with Nexus 6—a product of some of our own engineering—we are excited to confirm that this latest and greatest Android release will also come to our other devices as part of our ongoing software strategy to provide fast updates to our pure Android experience.
While Google has not yet publicly released Android Lollipop, we are happy to confirm that the upgrade will come to:
Moto X (1st Gen. & 2nd Gen.)
Moto G (1st Gen. & 2nd Gen.)
Moto G with 4G LTE
Moto E
Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini
Cheers to all Moto E users :good:
Have a Smiling Day
Hit thanks, if helped :good:

Moto x 2013 lollipop finally arrives!!!

Yes it's true.. Moto has finally announced the Lollipop soak test for it's most renowned and old device MOTO X
Motorola has finally announced the Lollipop 5.0.1 soak test for Moto X(2013). Motorola gained a lot of good will by updating its latter phones to the newest version of Android, starting with the Moto X. But for some reason, the 2013 Moto X has lagged far behind for updates to Lollipop. Now, five months after Android 5.0 first started rolling out to Nexus devices, the OG Moto X is finally getting its Lollipop update. Well, sort of: it's getting a soak test.
A soak test is basically Motorola's beta test for device firmware. Participants of soak tests are usually limited to the members of Motorola's support forum, and the program is rarely commented on in any official capacity. Moto is breaking that trend for the Moto X's Lollipop release: Motorola employee Luciano Carvalho has confirmed that the test is going out and answered a few questions on his Google+ profile.
https://plus.google.com/+LucianoCarvalho/posts/HcUKVhLh84P
Moto usually sends out an over-the-air update for the device in question anywhere from one to six weeks after the soak test, so 2013 Moto X users shouldn't have to wait too much for an official Lollipop build.
SORRY IT'S 5.0.2 not 5.0.1
The version you would be getting is 5.0.2 not 5.0.1 . Sorry for it :good:

6.0 for moto e

Great news: http://pocketnow.com/2015/10/02/motorola-marshmallow-updates
...
Is that sarcasm??? According to Motorola the Moto E 2015 will NOT be getting Marshmallow. Hopefully they change their minds or my daughter is gonna be upset.

I agree 100%. It's BS that Motorola won't update this phone. It is a 2015 model and only 7 or 8 months old. A good point was made in your link. All the Android One phones are supposed to get 6.0 per Google so I'm curious if Motorola will use Ram amount as the excuse.
edit... Well, I see that on the Android One site Google says... * UP TO 2 years* so I guess some Android One customers might be upset soon.
Buy Motorola they said...
Quick updates they said...
In the meantime we're stuck at 5.0 Lollipop
gj motorola.

Well, they do say the list isn't final and there will be changes so hopefully they add the E to the list soon.

LOL. XT1524 did not get any update since release and no upadates after just 8 months on the market? This company is the worst phone manufakcurer ever. :/ If it is really true, Moto E 2015 was my first and the last Motorola.

it's not google's motorola anymore...
I've bought this phone because I though it will have support... at this price point I could have lg with some simmilar specs, maybe it won't have update but at least it has flashlight on the back
I know it is not Google's phone. Other manufacturers support their devices for at least a year or more.

I mean that when motorola was in the Google's hands every phone was updated but things has changed after lenovo bought moto
btw lmao my old galaxy tab 2 had more updates than this motorola (4.0>4.1>4.2)
I'm really upset. I have XT1524 European model and it only had a Wifi patch, it wasn't even an update. I only bought Motorola because of updates, if the list is not updated I'm never going to have Motorola again. There's a lot of cheaper and better alternatives.

As the title says, Motorola has officially announced which of its smartphones will be getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. The list isn't small, but it does have some notable omissions, so here it is:
2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd gen)
2015 Moto X Style (3rd gen)
2015 Moto X Play
2015 Moto G (3rd gen)
2014 Moto X Pure Edition in the US (2nd gen)
2014 Moto X in Latin America, Europe and Asia2 (2nd gen)
2014 Moto G and Moto G with 4G LTE2 (2nd gen)
DROID Turbo
2014 Moto MAXX
2014 Moto Turbo

2015 Moto X Play
2015 Moto G (3rd gen)
2014 Moto X Pure Edition in the US (2nd gen)

2014 Moto G and Moto G with 4G LTE2 (2nd gen)
DROID Turbo

I'm a little bit excited that after all we're actually getting this update, hopefully filling the hole that lollipop left for stable version, and of course making it easier for devs to build roms.
Why are there multiple threads for 5.1 and now for M too?
Another thread on this topic ,,, XDA continuously losing its quality
Yup. Some folks should really check the threads before posting duplicates. I could understand if the other Marshmallow thread was a couple pages in, but it's just a couple threads down.
Not that hard to read at least the 1st page of threads
It makes me wonder how all these lazy people make it through the day.
