I am using verizon note 3 for t-mobile carrier. I am having a lot of voice mail issues as verizon has the voice mail password preset. I will like to use an unbranded, generic firmware or t-mobile firmware. Is this possible? If so, how should I go about it?
thanks in advance for responding.
Anyone using an unlocked T-mobile S7 with an AT&T Sim? Do you get full LTE? Any difference in signal strength, etc?
Just curious. Im about to trade my S7 edge for a regular S7 cause I like the smaller size, but it's an unlocked t-mobile model. I know they both use the same bands so it should work fine. Just wondering about anyone else's experience. Thanks.
I'm using an unlocked T-Mobile on AT&T. I don't have any signal problems. I, however, cannot get volte to work. I'm in the process of looking to see if anyone has been able to maybe flash AT&T firmware onto a T-Mobile variant, or if we might be able to flash the stock firmware and use an ATT CSC to gain volte. I also don't get notifications from visual voicemail but visual voicemail does work. The notification comes through like a standard voicemail notification and then I have to open the VVM app and refresh to see the new message.
Thanks for the reply. Good to know. I don't use the volte actually I have it turned off because I seem to drop more calls with it on then with it off. But yeah if an AT&T stock fw could be flashed to it I think the tmo model would be preferable to me.
i flashed my straight talk version s7 (factory unlocked) from g930vl(stock) to g930v(verizon) using latest update of odin. everything works perfect except i cant activate advanced calling features. i know other have flashed and activated advanced calling. can anyone help me figure out how to activate or provide a firmware that has it activated? i used the nougat rom from samsung.

As far as I'm aware, verizon doesn't allow mvno carriers to use their advanced calling through ST or Tracfone

Yes it does. It also says searching for signal whenever I reset my phone. It has internet but I can't receive text or calls until I make an outgoing call then it switches from searching for service to Verizon service. I wonder if it had anything to do with ims registration? (Says it's off )

But using straight talk i was already on Verizon service (that's who they use in this area) of I flashed Verizon firmware I'm showing official device shouldn't I be able to activate the features? I swear I saw a post a month or two ago a guy flashed to Verizon from unlocked device and was able to do ota updates (which I can't i have to plug into laptop) and had activated Wi-Fi and video calling. I'm not sure if he rooted or not but I've been trying find post for about two weeks can't find it anymore. But any help or recommendations are appreciated. I haven't rooted but been thinking about it. If you could recommend a link would be greatly appreciated.

Straight Talk /Tracfone does not block the service provided by Verizon. My new Galaxy S8 G950U Settings/ Advanced Calling /Activate, is a Verizon app that controls access. Without vzw service you can't activate.
Has anyone found a fix to enable activation? Hoping root comes through on this.
Note: ST after 4 calls to customer service said there is nothing they can do.

Is there any setting to turn on mobile data usage during calls? Samsung Galaxy S8 G950U. This worked in S5 w/ST but S8 is not.

I had it working with an att sim in a tmo note 4. So I imagine you may be able to use an att or tmo fw and corresponding sim
Hello,
I've been using verizon for literally 10+ years and recently came across Tmobile's unlimited plans.
The value just makes me want to switch over! But I don't know much about the current situation.
1. Will the verizon variant / vs995 work with tmobile? I read that the VS995 lacks 1 band that Tmo uses, but it seemed like software restriction.
Found this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/help/verizon-branded-lgv20-tmobile-4g-lte-t3491281
Does this mean it works by changing some settings without rooting?
2. If it does require root, can you downgrade and root? I read that 14B blocked rooting.
3. Has anyone successfully used their verizon v20 in tmobile, with full 4g speeds/functionality? Any input is appreciated!
I'm using Verizon v20 on t-mobile right now. It works fine most of the times but sometimes after a fresh boot i don't get 4g signals for a while and i have to turn on airplane mode and then turn it off. Didn't have that issue on the verizon s7 edge on t mobile.

Hello. I recently purchased an unlocked Galaxy S8. The model number is SM-G950FD. I am wondering if it is possible that I can be able to put the North American Tmobile Rom on it. Reason is that since I am using on TMO, I dont have access to VOLTE or WiFi Calling. Is there any workaround to be able to activate and or use? All I need is the WIFI calling, any help would be appreciated, thanks!
