Unable to get G900F to pass safetynet even on stock rom - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I don't know very much, I used to have root on my phone, xposed and pokemon go working fine.
Then safetynet got implemented and I couldn't play. I tried to go back to stock rom and work my way from there, but I can't get it to even pass safetynet helper. I have tried so many resets, swipe and I still get cts profile match: failed.
Please, if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. Also, is there any way to get pokemon go and xposed to work? There were some very nice IV xposed modules I'd like to have again.

Here's what I've tried.
I wipe all in twrp, then I connect phone to pc, open odin 3.12.3, place the rom in AP, go to download mode on phone, and transfer. Odin says everything passed, success! Then I start up phone, pick country and language and all that, the phone is like new. Then I update google services, download safetynet helper, and run it. and I fail! How is this possible?

I marked update bootloader in odin as well. Please help, I'm unable to make pokemon go work no matter how I try!
I used marsmallow stock rom for international s5 g900f phone.

Unable to flash stock firmware

Hello, my SM-G935A is rooted, and I have 2 issues with it. Firstly, I'm unable to receive texts or phone calls (I can send them), and I've tried a factory reset and I even got a new SIM, but nothing worked. I think if I flash stock firmware, it might fix the issue. Second problem, when I go into download mode and select my AP in Odin and press start, my phone gets an error and Odin freezes at Initialization.
Any help would be appreciated. I would prefer to fix the texting issue, as I don't want to return the phone to ATT. In either case, the Odin issue needs to be fixed
I'm having a similar issue. This afternoon, 2 apps threw errors and closed. I rebooted, which apparently was the wrong thing to do. The reboot stalled on the AT&T logo and stayed that way for 5 min - the unit became very hot & the power button did not respond, even while holding it down. I got into recovery, cleared the cache and factory reset, then rebooted. The unit came back up and started reinstalling everything. I took it back down into the download status and attempted to reload 935x via Odin, only to stall at "initialzation" [sic] as you did. I got out of that after waiting for some sort of response. SuperSU was still in my apps as was Root Checker. Root Checker indicates the system is rooted. SuperSU indicates it needs the binary updated. BusyBox and TiBu indicate they cannot find root. I deleted all the root apps and tried reinstalling root via adb which completed successfully, but the same outcome with all the root apps. So I'm not sure if I'm still really rooted as Root Checker claims, or not.
EDIT: I just saw that I have 2 "Knox Settings" apps. Clicking on either returns, "Unfortunately, Container Agent2 has stopped."
use the odin from the stock firmware thread to flash it again. if it fails you can flash the u firmware and then the stock again. then you have to use a different odin if you want to flash the root api file the one you flash the firmware with wont work. also there is help in one of the threads about fixing the volte problem so you dont have to turn it off to get calls. i didnt have to do it as using the odin i mentioned fixed it for me when i came from the u firmware.

I was having the exact same problem you had with Odin. It seemed I was able to flash stock firmware using this version of Odin: http://www.mediafire.com/download/2t2sjqxtogbkafk/odin_3.12.3.rar

did you have any problems with the u version of the s7 edge firmware, like the fingerprint scanner not responding? i am on that version and cant get any odin version or any version of s7 edge g935a firmware to flash, tried unrooting and was forced to use the U version of the s7 edge firmware, everything works except the fingerprint scanner, cant get back to full stock firmware, need help!
im having the exact same problem, when i put my phone into download mode and flash the stock at&t firmware, Odin get stuck in "initialization" and my phone screen displays and error message.
Same stuff was happening to me, I went back to stock and took the update. When your phone stops working as an actual phone, it's time to roll it back.
I played with it for a week and my phone was so freaking hot (with hot weather) equals a wait and see if this gets more stable in the near future. I did use the Odin 3.12.3 mentioned by King James III. Honestly, I did so many things to get it back to stock I forget what actually worked (it was the wee hours of the morning and I was spent). Don't give up guys, it will and can work.
edit: It may be as simple as not right clicking Odin and running it as Administrator.

I used Odin_v3.12.3_Patched_SHA256 to flash the 935U Firmware then used Odin3_v3.11.2 to flash the June Firmware release.

How to use Samsung Pass after Rooting

I recently have rooted my s6+ G928C with build number G928CXXS3CQH1.
Everything work fine except for secret mode in Samsung internet that I knew not working with rooted device.
Although, I didn't find anypost that said samsung pass also not working, I just want to ask thak anyway to make
samsung pass working along with root? Thanks in advanced.
Please help me, any custom kernal or way to fix this?
As far as I know it will never work... but you could try magisk hide but dont get your hopes up.
Flash the superuser uninstall zip when you want to use it and reroot when you need root? Or get magisk set up so you pass safetynet

Even after Odin flash stock, cannot unroot! Partial root persists. Help?

Help please.
I want to fully unroot my Galaxy S7 Edge (SC-02H version, but I think this is not relevant).
I tried flashing back to stock with Odin (both latest version, as well as a previous one) but some kind of "partial root" still remains.
Always complete flash (AP, BL, CP, CSC).
I know some leftover from Root is there because whenever I open Samsung Web Browser and try to "Turn on Secret Mode", I get an error message saying "Root Detected(...)"
BUT, if I install SuperSU from Google Play, and try to run the app, it stops right after being started, saying there is NO ROOT detected.
I even tried re-flashing stock, flashing twrp, flashing supersu just for the sake of using the SuperSU App to "cleanup to unroot". When I did that, by the way, I chose "Yes" for both optional steps (try to recover stock recovery, something like that) so after the unroot cleaning process was supposedly done, the phone went into a bootloop. At that point I entered Download Mode and once more flashed stock.
But for my surprise, after initial setup, Samsung Web Browser STILL SAYS I am rooted!
How can I really completely revert back to stock?
PS- I tried installing Samsung Smart Switch, but the new version cannot reinitialize devices anymore! (And it is impossible to find an older version on the web). So with Smart Switch, there is no way of reverting back to stock anymore..

That's normal.
You're probably already completely unrooted.
The reason secret mode won't work because it detect knox flag is already tripped, which happen when you root the first time.
Once Knox flag is tripped, it cannot be reverse.

Oh really? Nice to know that.
So Samsung says a tripped knox is "root" while that is not actually accurate. Thanks!
PS Personally I do not care about knox, have no use for that. But I am doing all this temporary unroot thing to finally maybe get my phone sim-unlocked. I have been trying with some people over the net, but the unlock always fail at the end and maybe it was failing because of custom recovery and root. Well anyway, I will try the unlock again later, now stock and unrooted. Hope it goes well.

Need Advice / help about best course of action?

I have an SAMSUNG s8 SM-G950F which I purchased threw Amazon as new from Italy, I live in the UK.
I decided to try rooting it Following these steps
1st of all I tried using Odin3.V3.10.6 and using CF-Auto-Root-dreamlte-dreamltexx-smg950f.tar.md5
Al this seemed to do was factory reset my phone it still worked fine but was not rooted.
so I tried the method below, from that site, wont let me post links so took the . out
galaxys8root com galaxy-s8-root how-to-root-galaxy-s8-or-s8-plus-exynos
When it game time to to do the 2nd key combination (step11) for the twrp, to load the boot loader i missed it, and my phone was stuck, at boot screen and would do nothing, i tired to use Odin to write the file again it never happened.
I did some more goggling saw that web site is out of date and there was a new version of twrp, downloaded twrp-3.2.1-0-dreamlte.img.tar and tried using odin to flash that, still was not having it, still stuck at the screen. Figured out how to get my phone back into usb upload mode and tried again, and then i kept getting the message that their was no P part partition and it failed.
Tried this a few times did some more goggling, saw the thing about doing it letting it fail, reboot the phone and do it straight away this did not work with the twrp-3.2.1-0-dreamlte.img.tar, but did work with CF-Auto-Root-dreamlte-dreamltexx-smg950f.tar.md5 file.
This let my phone boot again, and was rooted, but this caused me issues with running apps and I saw there was no way to hide the cf auto root so decided to just reset my phone.
This worked but now my phone fails the Safety test and i can not use apps that need it....
So was wondering if any one could advise me what my best course of action is, can i put my phone back to stock some how so it will pass the saftynet again or do I need to try the twrp so i can use magika and hide the fact its rooted?
Thanks in advance, included some screen shots from the software screen in case it helps..

S7 Edge is messed up

Hi!
I'm posting here because I did not have a high post count.
Yesterday I rooted my SM-G350F with Magisk. Because I'm new to rooting, all I did was follow a video. (Samsung Galaxy S7 /S7 Edge Root Android 8.0 100% Working by Android Doctor published on May 8, 2018).
Everything worked as shown in the video.
After I rooted my phone, I wanted to test out this PoGo spoofing thing. It said something about google play services and some other stuff. I thought I had to download the google play services apk and replace it with the built-in one. I attempted to remove the app with Lucky Patcher which ended up with the phone spamming me with the common app stopped working pop-up (which I assume was the google play services). I kind of got the pop-up spam to stop but I couldn't download anything from any browser at that point. I thought I really messed up with my phone so I booted it into TWRP. I went to wipe EVERYTHING with the TWRP app which got me boot the phone normally with the welcome startup. I could see the WiFi's and connect to them. When I got to the "Checking for Updates" part, it got stuck there. I thought I should just try to flash stock firmware on my Samsung S7 Edge. I proceeded to attempt a flash with Odin but kept getting boot.img fail. Now when I start my phone I get the "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software.". When I try to do that, it says that it's an "Unsupported device". Now the phone is still recognized in the Odin software and that's all I can pretty much boot up with. I can't even boot to TWRP anymore. I read that as long Odin still recognizes it, I still have hope.
I am using the latest Odin.
I got my stock from the sam mobile site /samsung/galaxy-s7-edge/firmware/SM-G935F/PRO/download/G935FXXS3ERI1/236182/
The chipset is Exynos 8890.
I hope someone out there can help!
Thanks in advance!
Boot into download mode. Connect to your PC and fire odin. Use latest firmware from sammobile. Tick Nand erase and flash. Hope this helps
Same issue for me, i hope you find something, and if you do, please let me know!
