Camera edge spot - LG V20 Questions & Answers

I just opened and setup my V20, I was super careful with it. I only had it rest on something soft while I was getting the sim activated and until I put the case on. Well, it seems to be something like a shiny spot on the camera rim. At first I thought it was a reflection, but is a blemish. I am torn, should I take it back (BestBuy) or live with it. It sucks to have that out of the box.

It is to the outer side of that on the chrome rim. I cannot feel the spot nor clean it away.

looking athe photo, it seems like the outer rim, and not the protector.

Anyway I got it replaced so all is good.

I need to take you along with me next time I buy a new truck!!

Maybe he bought a piece of film like he said in his first and the third post?
http://www.carbonfibergear.com/direct/3m-di-noc-carbon-fiber-vinyl
That might make it easier for you.
I did this with black carbon. Had it on for about a week and took it off. It kinda reminded me of one of those coffee carabiners.
it stays on very well to my surprise thought it would have peeled on the edges by now

Custom Hardware Modification

Hi XDA!
Tell me what you think of the dark grey bezel, rather than the stock chrome.
I think I'll rock it like this for a while... then maybe try all black.

With a custom hardware mod, I really hoped you'd replaced the cpu, gps or something like that.
But nevertheless it's quite nice!
Agreed!
Would love to see some hc mods!
Doesn't seem like I'm able to change the title to something more specific or accurate.
BBut thanks for the comments.

Well I did a bunch of research to see if I could completely remove the chrome bezel. Seemed like it was possible but separating it from the glass was tricky. I got the impression I would break the glass if I tried.
So what I ended up doing was taking apart everything I could, then masked off the rest, including the entire screen.
Then I went to town with a 150 grit sandpaper to take the chrome off. Then polished with a 300 grit.
Once it was all smooth, it had a very light grey, almost white look. The exposed, bare plastic was dry and almost looked like fibres. I went and rubbed a very small amount of oil into the plastic. The plastic soaked it right up and gave it a darker grey and glossy appearance. Voila!
So the next step might be to re-tape it all off, then hit it with some black enamel spray.

spots show up in pictures

so this just happened recently. the pictures I take, there are three little black specks that show up. I cleaned my phone's lens with a lens cleaning cloth and a small amount of solution. nothing. it's annoying me slightly. any ideas on how to fix this? thanks in advance.
I took a pic so that the spots would be visible.

I know. it's bugging me. :\
like he posted above maybe dust or water marks even if it wasnt direct water condensation maybe........even though our screens are kinda sealed theres alwasy a way for crap to get under there.....it used to happen crazy on my old blackberry storm omgi cant believe that i even had one....so glad that was over a long time ago
yeah I figured. I was hoping that wasn't that case and maybe I'd be able to clean it out or something.

LoL...spirits on the camera good one.

Dropped my 1 month old nexus 4, bezel dented :(

Is there any way to repair it? I dropped it from a ~1.5ft. edge and it already has a dent. The dent is on the bezel, and is seen easily if you bend the phone. Pic:

You can put a bumper on it .. it will hide the dent. Other than that, only a new bezel will help you.

Gosh, can I not just open the back part of the phone, and be able to hit the dented part from inside?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
that would void warranty,
you could try open it to push it back with a round metal object, if the phone is fine, either open it or hide it with a case
You're lucky you didn't crack the screen. You would of needed a complete LCD replacement. I would slap a case on it and call it a day.

It is a plastic bezel, so that would not do any good at all.
Like other people have said, it sure does not look as sleek as a naked n4, but just put a case on your phone

Bubble under glass

I got my note 4 day after launch and yesterday morning a bubble showed up under the glass on the left top corner of the screen At first I though it was the screen protector that had a bubble underneath but after taking the screen protector off it is actually under the glass. The bubble is about half inch long by 1/8th inch wide or so. I couldn't find any info on anyone else with this problem. I went to Tmobile and they sent a replacement phone out right away. Anyway just seeing if anyone else has had this problem. There is no damage to the glass or screen just a bubble under the glass. XDA wont let me post photos in my posts yet so once I'm over 10 posts i'll put some pictures of it up.
Looks like glue wasn't cured right. Were you able to "push" bubble out by pressing on screen or is more like cured glue separated from glass?
Sent from my SM-N910T using XDA Free mobile app
Pressing on it doesn't make the bubble go away or change shape in any way.
be good if some way we can see a picture.

There it finally allowed me to post photos.
yeah that's a strange one! Only thing I can think of is that it was there when you first bought it, but it was too small for you take notice until it got bigger!
Exchange!
This is the adhesive that fuses the LCD panel to the glass digitizer separating. Definitely a factory defect and definitely get it exchanged. This should not be happening.
Mine is separating in the same spot. Can only see it when the light it on it just right, hasn't gotten as bad as yours yet
