Hey Guys, I found a way to increase the Performance of the Mate 7.
Requirements
this App:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.namelessrom.devicecontrol&hl=en
And of course Root.
Instructions
1. Download and install Device Control [root]
2. Then open it and tap on the 3 lines button in the top left corner.
3. Then navigate to the Category Controls and tap on Processor.
4. Activate Kernel-Status by pressing the slider in the top right corner.
5. After that you choose the Performance Governor in the Governor Section.
6. Check both Sliders Lock Frequencies and Lock Governor.
7. Thats all, you can also check the Frequencies by downloading CPU-Z if all Frequencies are locked at Max, it works.
For all who cant imagine the difference, play Grand Theft Auto Vice City or Grand Theft Auto San Andreas before and after this.
I tested it with GTA 3 and GTA San Andreas, and I had a very better Framerate and also Performance after this.
Both Games are tested on the highest Graphic Mode.
GTA San Andreas had some little and medium Lags/stuttering on Maximum Settings, but after this, I had no Lags and it feels alot smoother then before.
Hope I can help some People who love playing with their Mate 7
Great, i'll be sure to try it.
whats app name ?

Use eboots, they are a lot faster than other forms of rips (bin etc).
Other than that, zodtt himself gives the following advice (quoted from www(dot)androidemus(dot)com):
Things that must be known:
- Anti aliasing on some devices is slow. Disable it to start off with.
- Make sure you have precise cdrom DISABLED. It affects audio greatly. It's only for Diablo, in which case it needs that setting.
- Save states can become incompatible between releases. I try to minimize these issues, but if you run into a performance issue, try without save states.
- Save states also save the cycle and precise cdrom settings you saved with. Once saved they are locked in!
- Use NTSC (US/Japanese) versions of games if possible! I haven't been testing with PAL games and they run at a different FPS.
- The Cycle setting is your friend. Raising it MAY increase your FPS. Raising it too high will just increase the FPS but not the gameplay. Lowering it to 2 helps in some games, especially heavily 3D ones. It's very dependent on the game being played.
That being said:
1. Uninstall v2. Re-Install the latest version of v2. At time of writing it's 1.1.2. Confirm it is the latest version. Leave every setting at the default. Enable the FPS setting. Disable the Anti-Aliasing setting. Start a NEW game (NO Save States). Note the game being tested, and note the FPS in a certain area of that game.
2. From there, try a Cycle setting of 4 instead of 3, and start a new game with no save states. You might also want to try a refresh rate of 30 instead of 60. Check the FPS in that game and see if it went up in that area.
3. Try enabling CDDA if you have a proper rip with the CDDA files in place. If that doesn't help, try disabling sound and (or?) CDDA.
Alternatively, wait for FPSeCE for Android, should be out any day now...
If you havent already known theres a game called
"BlitzBrigrade"
and well its a clone of TF2 But for Mobile, Amazing!
Many Users on the Xperia Play say that the Game has Bad FPS and is Unplayable because the game has bad Optimization for the Play
Well im here to fix that, because i wont let all of you Die Hard fans play with that Ghetto Touch Screen!
So here is my Guide:
1.) Put the Graphics on Low, Go into the game settings and Video and set it to Performance and exit the Game, not only will this save battery, but it will increase performance!
2.) Freeze most Apps that run in the Background; Here is a great guide!
Why?
BlitzBrigrade isnt a Cpu Game, its more of a Ram game, so in this case its better to allow the game to eat up ram and let it "Roam"
3.) Download and Flash: Adrenaline Boost
Now download and install Terminal Emulator and type :
--1.) su
--2.) boost
Then wait till everything stops moving and Press Menu>Close
Alternatively Run the Flush Command in the SuperCharger V6 Script (If u have it)
5.) Start up the game in XP Mode(Gamepad open) And leave the phone idle with the process running for about 3-5 Minutes (Set Screen Dim to 5 mins) This allows the app to Start Building Dalvik Cache ( Do this Straight after Step 3)
6.) Now The Last tip is to Always keep ur thumb on the Left touchpad and try to remove ur finger from the right one as LITTLE as Possible, This is just something i found out due to Weeks of experience and Testing
If this dosent work Tell my in the Comments!
ENJOY!
Nice Tips, but in here, the game performance is perfect! I thought that already well optimized.
the only problem on this game is the touchpad . sometimes one of the touchpad not giving response . you can't move+camera at same times .

Yes i used to Get that ALL the time and it was annoying, but the 6th tip is to Keep ur finger on the left one so it dosent do that,it does it cus of Direct input getting mixed up and then shuts one down,or something like that...

Same,Im on Atomic GB and its buttery smooth without any of this, im not joking, but all i have is Adreno Booster 2.0 (performance edition) and i use the boost script before i play ANY game and everythings smooth and Blitz Brigrade can run on Optimal (or otherwise known as High)
Has anyone else found that games detect the G2 and set into Low Graphics, mine does Modern Combat 4 goes to medium settings, no fire or even smoke effects on menu to show high graphics.. This is dissapointing this is now in the top 3 phones for gaming. Other games at least offer you the option to change settings like with Dead Trigger cause it set to Low as well (runs 60FPS on High though so it's a problem with either the phone or the apps)
I've tried using the apk modder to use the original APK i have from gameloft and setting it to 3 but then when I install it and download the files.. back to 1, 0 is the lowest.. and my G2 gets set to 1. Come on gameloft, I want it at least on 2.
Hello guys,?
After into the use of the tablet for about 1 week I found same pretty cool tweak. Before coming in to the topic , I'm really impressed in the device performance also the issues that others faces could be solved . First of all for those who are complaining about the lollipop about nvidia removing the power control option let me say this, its not removed just hidden??.So first step in getting max fps is to find the power control [Just do a google in how to find hidden power controlled] So after finding the power control menu move to apps in the above mentioned section in the power menu and select the required game or app tap it and make a custom setting there on your desired requirements .There you may run apps in very low resolution or in very high [Nearly 2k] depending on your requirement.
So,??
Here in power control you can set the processor clock to save power or max performance or optimum depending on your need .this will help you resolve the battery issues in lollipop .
My recommendation is to play games in lowest possible resolution in the battery saver mode. This provides you with good amount of power saving. Also don't get me wrong in asking you guys to play games in lowest setting thinking that our device is not capable, its just to save power ??

.... uhm. look at the link below. thats a thread that i already made a while ago (last year to be exact -.-), buddy. this is nothing new
MY thread is in the same section (which is the "General Section") as the one you just posted today -.-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nvi...tention-how-to-to-power-control-menu-t3164381
and sry if you might feel this would work, but it doesn't. many ppl already complained that the power control doesn't work in lollipop.
and about that resolution thing you mentioned. it kinda just lowers the display resolution, NOT the actual rendering resolution. so even if your game might feel snappier, its just a placebo effect afterall.
and pls use the search function next time before posting about something which already has a thread on this site (no offense)
I don't think so...
The power controll menu does work,Its is not changing the device resolution just the rendering resolution I'm saying this because just play a game in max resolution and in native one.you will find the max resolution one with some edge cutting problem... this is because of the high res texture in low display resolution. To really see the difference connect it to an fHd TV via an HDMI. Even if it is just lowering the device display still it would improve the frames by a good difference also my thread is not really about finding the power control but about how to use it....
I will be uploading visual proof of change in visual quality....

i wasn't talking about that the display resolution feature wouldn't work. i was talking about the whole power control menu itself with all its other functions. setting the cpu or the framerate did change absolutly nothing. if i change the framerate to 30 or even 25 for en example, the system would still output 60 fps (if the app/game is not too demanding in terms of performance). and about the cpu setting, guess what, this doesn't work either. if you change the clock to minimum for example, all apps/ games will still run normally like nothing was changed.
you can also check the cpu clock with any working cpu monitoring app and see that almost the whole power control menu does not work the way it should (or like it was on kitkat because that one really did work). only the display resolution thing is kind of working. but the rest of it isn't doing what its supposed to be.

Game is MC4 you can clearly see the colour difference in red
The power control works if you know what to tweak in it. There are applications that throttle if all 4 cores are used. Facebook works more stable with 2 cores and 80% frequency. You will see more opportunities if you experiment. In my observation in general, lollipop update in this device was not well thought out so Nvidia leaves the power management with you. Yeah, very irresponsible of them.
If tweaked right, performance difference of apps is night and day, no kidding. Stop arguing and finally try it, don't reason based on what you have read. This goes without saying, do not contribute if you don't have an actual unit. Thanks.
The game in question is Cytus II. Whenever more than 4 notes appear on screen, the performance tanks. Even with game battery saver downscaling the resolution to 720p, it still does this. Does anyone else experience a similar issue while playing games?
Cytus II isn't even a graphics-heavy game, so it's starting to make me question this phone and its performance.
If all graphic heavy games are running smooth it's not problem with phone itself. Try to force 2d acceleration via GPU in developer settings...

I noticed there was some LG Game tool or something running, after I tapped on it, I selected the option to turn it off (it has performance settings, which were set to balanced) and games seem to run better, never played Cytus, but when I played PUBG is was a significant improvement.

Thank you! It's not a night and day difference, but the game definitely runs a bit smoother after disabling that option. It's not placebo either; I just played the game without any lagspikes whatsoever.

I only speak English sorry, but if you open the settings app, under 'general' there is a gaming button.
It is labeled 'game tools' in English, but its the top toggle, hope this helps
