I'm trying to prep my moto 360 to sell on Craigslist. I know you can unpair your watch from your watch it triggers a factory reset, but is there anything else that needs to be done to wipe data from the watch? Kind of like with phones where you encrypt then factory reset...
Thanks in advance!
A factory reset should remove all customizations from the watch. Since, besides any apps that run directly on the watch itself, the watch only relays notifications from the phone, a factory reset of the watch is all that is needed.

Ok so after not using my tablet for a few days I picked it up and tried running some apps like facebook and chrome. These apps constantly force closed and I was not able to bring up the keyboard or even the setting menu. After many resets I tried factory resetting the device by going into the bootloader and wiping data. After waiting for probably close to 30-45 minutes for it to complete the wipe it reset and came up with the android guy and a spinning gear on its back with the text (erasing data...) below it. I left it on that for probably a total of 6-7 hours with no change. After hard resetting and trying to reboot it still comes up the same. Now i am able to get into the bootloader but am unable to access the recovery because that same message comes up. Any help is appreciated.
I've tried looking everywhere but haven't been able to find anyone with this issue. I have a fresh install of Resurrection Remix Marshmallow on my Galaxy S 5, and I have factory reset my Gear Live. When I download and open the Android Wear app, it acts as though there is already a watch paired, but has no information on it. Resetting the app, google play services, clearing caches and reinstalling has not fixed this issue. The app does not come up with the welcome screen, just goes straight to the screen as in the attatched image, with no way to pair a watch.
Anyone able to help here? Next step is to reinstall the ROM, but I want to check there's no simple solution first.
Is your Gear Live up to date? Did you check, if there is newest firmware for it? Maybe there is update, which you should force your Android Wear app with?
Uninstall Android and reinstall. Takes care of that occasional problem for me.
On the watch:
Settings, Un-pair with phone. (Old release of AW may say Factory reset.)
Do not set up the watch yet.
On the phone:
In Android Wear use the Disconnect... option.
In Android Wear, use Settings, Device settings and touch the watch name, Touch FORGET WATCH.
Settings, Bluetooth. If you still see the watch, touch Forget... the watch so it no longer appears in the list of paired devices.
Settings, Device, Apps, select Google Play Services. Clear cache and Clear data. Uninstall updates.
Settings, Device, Apps, select Google App. Clear cache and Clear data. Also Uninstall updates.
Settings, Device, Apps, select Android Wear. Clear cache and Clear data. Also Uninstall updates.
Play Store, Apps, My apps, touch the Update all button.
Let all updates complete. This may take several hours. The best thing to do is to put your phone on its charger overnight, with the phone having a steady WiFi Internet connection. Double check the next morning by going to My Apps again.
Reboot.
Now set up the watch as if you had just un-boxed it.
Let all updates complete. This may take an hour or so. If your watch is one or more major releases behind it may take several hours. The best thing to do is to put your watch on its charger next to your phone on its charger, with the phone having a steady WiFi Internet connection.
Reboot watch and phone.

Hello @kaise123,
I am having the exact same problem. The Android wear app doesnt show anything just remains blank. Did all sorts of deleting cache/data/uninstall/reinstall. Nothing is working.
Please can you let me know how you solved this issue?

Sorry for the really late reply, but I ended up simply reinstalling my ROM. I believe the issue was caused by using Titanium Backup to restore data to some Google services, even though I kept a fresh install of Android Wear.
After this last weekend, I've noticed that Bluetooth no longer works. Specifically, it is off, and when I tap to turn it on from any menu, it grays out and never turns on. I've tried rebooting several times, turning airplane mode on and off, clearing the cache and data from the Bluetooth app and force stopping it, and even booting into safe mode where it still does the same thing. As of last week Bluetooth was working fine and I used it daily for audio streaming and syncing with my smartwatch.
This issue coincides with a software update a few days ago (G950U1UEU1AQH3). I wonder if it has anything to do with that.
I want to avoid a factory reset if at all possible.
my bluetooth works fine after upgrading to AQH3, probably a bad update, im afraid outside of a factory reset not sure how else you can fix it.
Got a fix - I went to "Reset" in Settings and reset all network information. It reset wifi as well, but right after I did that Bluetooth started working. No idea what happened, but at least I avoided a factory reset...
This wasn't a problem until I updated the phone a while after I got it. When I go to the play store and download a new app, it shows "downloading" with the weird fragmented bar moving across the progress bar, but the download refuses to start for like 5 minutes to sometimes several hours or a day. I've turned off every power and data saving mode I could find and it still does this. Factory reset, force stop, clear cache, clear data on all google play related apps (yes, including the system apps), and it WON'T STOP DOING IT.
Haven't had this issue on my Z3Z but I have had this issue on my Nexus 7 tablet once or twice. It randomly resolved itself I don't remember how. You can try deleting your google account, uninstalling all the play store and google play updates and reinstalling them. That may help.
Good luck.
I have this issue too and have been unable to resolve it.
I have the same issue. I'm to the point where I simply leave them be and eventually they download and updates. It sometimes works if I restart the download, reboot the phone, switch from wifi to data to wifi again, things like that.
This might be overkill, but ever since I factory reset the phone I no longer have this issue

Try clearing the cache of the google play store app in settings, if not then all its data. Also, if you just upgraded to Nougat it would be wise to make a factory reset (in recovery mode) to clean up the residual Marshmallow files, if you don't feel comfortable with that, then at least clear your device's cache and Dalvik (in recovery mode)
My phone sound settings does not work keep getting setting has turned off when I try to gain access to sound setting. The phone has stopped ringing when I receive calls, vibration works , also the phone will not shut down unless battery drains. Any help?
I think the easiest way to solve your problems would be to perform a factory reset and get everything back to default.
IMPORTANT! Before you start you should back up anything important (SMS's, pictures, files etc.), since a factory reset will remove everything that has been put on the phone after you started it the first time.
So, when you are sure that everything is backed up AND that the device has plenty of power (personally I recommend 75% or more), you can continue and perform the reset:
Go to: Settings - General.
Then under Personal tap: Backup & Reset - Factory data reset - Reset phone - Erase everything.
Confirm and start by tapping OK.
The phone will now start the reset. When it's done you can set it up and start using it.
