Okay guys, I am not sure if any thread has been made about this before etc. I hope I am not spamming the forums with another yet answered question 1000 times But...
I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge plus, I attempted a root and my battery went from good to draining like a son of a b***h. (The root failed so I stock rom'd it)
So in my attempts of fixing purchased a new battery fitted it. same issue drains so quick.
So I then rooted my phone which this time rooted successfully. (woo noob did something right) and the battery was perfect. couldn't ask for more it lasted for over 24 hours brilliant!
But now I have unrooted and put it back to stock Rom. and same issue again battery draining so quickly.
So is there anyway to fix this without rooting my phone? something i've missed out. I don't want to give up hope! I have probably missed something out or w/e
But I can say the phone gets hot for no reason what so ever. I have tried sending it back (after first stock rom) but Samsung noticed some how it had been rooted(or attempted atleast) Anyhow hope to hear something of some of you androiders who actually know what you're doing   hopefully this will fix my phone!
Thanks in advanced. and again sorry if this question has already been solved. been looking through though only thing I found was rooted fixs
Try package disabler pro from GP. It disables all bloatware, about doubled battery life on my GS6+, and without rooting

Got my Galaxy S4 Active about two weeks ago, loving it as its a huge upgrade over my old S2. Everything has been great; amazing battery life, Full HD screen, water resistant, etc. etc.
Two days ago, restarted my phone and noticed the bootscreen said "Samsung" with an open padlock and "Custom" underneath it. I've read a dozen threads of people having this happen after flashing custom ROMs, and if I had also done so I wouldn't be posting here. My phone is completely stock, not debloated nor rooted. In fact, as far as I can tell there hasn't been any sort of updates to software/firmware since I bought the phone. Anyone have any similar experience or solutions?
I know Triangle Away should probably fix the bootscreen, but I'm wanting to fix the cause, not the effect. There may or may not be increased battery drain since the "Custom" message appeared, it's hard for me to tell with the phone being so new and my usage varies day to day. Any info/comments/questions/advice is appreciated!

Since when did this forum go hostile? I'm more worried about what this might be a sign of. The phone is NEW, STOCK, and showing a custom unlocked bootscreen from nowhere. If you can't help, please don't reply criticizing me for wanting to make sure my phone is working properly. Thanks.
Let me preface by saying I absolutely loved my galaxy note 2 and had the most incredible battery life with it. When I got this GN3, I instantly found that my battery life was extremely downgraded and nowhere comparable to the GN2. After owning it for 3-4 months, rooting it, and installing many ROMs I still have incredibly bad battery life.
Yes, I have done all the battery saving medications (SYNC off/ BT off/ WiFi off, etc etc). I did notice however that with BetterBatteryStats and GSAM and WLD that I had many crazy things going on in the background (random processes running that I couldn't find any solution for on the internet). I had incredible battery drain even with WiFi on vs 4g.
SO I am having my GN3 sent out to Samsung to test it for overheating issues/battery life. My question to this forum is Can this thing just be a faulty unit? Is this a known problem? I have never had this problem so I thought I would put it out there. Thanks in advance.
It's possible you got a crappy note 3. Have you been installing your roms on your stock slot or another rom slot? I've heard of battery issues with the current set of roms if aren't installed in the stock rom slot.

Hey guys. I bought my wife a new Galaxy Tab 10.1 and its great but the battery life is TERRIBLE! At first, we thought something was wrong with the Tab because it was draining the battery about 1% every couple minutes. She would play one game at 95% battery for about 10 minutes and the battery would now be at 45%. I went through it shutting off and disabling everything i could and the battery life improved greatly. The problem now is all this Samsung garbage starting up and killing the battery. We cant keep going in and turning this stuff off every time she turns the tablet on. So I would like to root it and use titanium Backup to remove all this bloatware thats killing her battery. I'm familiar with galaxy phone rooting but not tablets so I'm unsure if the process is basiclly the same.
It would be greatly appreciated if you guys could point me to a root methods for this, it has KitKat 4.4 on it, And maybe if you guys could be so kind as to point me in the direction of an app list for things that are safe to remove and not safe to remove? Thanks guys.
Hello thes will be a long story so get ready to read it all if you want to help!
First let me start with the day i bought this phone. Okay it was sth like 21 dec and i bought it. The thing is that i am really crazy about installing custom roms and stuff on my phone. So i bought this N910C with the home that i wont do anything because its price in my country(Bulgaria) is basically the same as it was a year ago, saying it is expensive and i wont dare to do anything with it because i will loose the warranty. We here receive new tech later. Okay, im lusing the point.
Well by the title you know... i did not just something but many things... one week later i was annoyed of the laggy old Touchwiz for the Note 4 and decided - I will do it no matter what. So i looked up the xda site, found my model and then installed recoveru and curtom ron (Sixperience v4 or v5). So everything was smooth but i started to get more curious about other roms. Then started surching and then installing new one almost once in a day. I tried the Dytto, CM13, CM12.1, lollinox, Wanam lite, Sixperience, ERobot.
Okay and after 2 and a half weeks things started getting weird af. Well back to this day i was with Sixperience and it had that weird bug with random restarting just you know because bugs. And IThought that with new rom it will get this thing out. But guess what... i installed maybe Erobot again (i dont really remember which is sh i t because it is important but its been a while).
So then it was all okay, for couple of hours i was watching youtube videos, browsing the net but the battery ran out of juice so as im suposed to do i plugged the charger. Then i left the phone and went to bad because it was like 1 am.
And then W T F... Im the mornig i woke up and started browsing trough facebook fast beause u had to get up to school. My classmate came and i unplugged...Making2posts

So i went to school. In the breaktime i got my phone to surf the web a bit and i saw it bootlooping and it was hot af... so i thought well maybe the rom didnt install properly.
After school i tried installing another rom but the same problem... Then i got back to stock from sammobike.com software and odin 3.9.sth. And nothing this problem again.
The really f'd thing is that it is working properly when im charging it like on cable always working with no probem. Also with an expernal battery pack.
So my question is Whyy.... And can you help me to fix it... I'll respond to every question you guys ask... Just cant live with my phone wrapped in cable and like old cable phone. And by the way... yes i tried different original battery and it isn't working too.
Also another weird things. Now there isn't a bootloop but only 3 sec working off the charger then get in sth like restart... I mean showing samsung galaxy note 4 logo and the it is turning completely off... even not showing the boot animation.
And by the way sorry if i have mistakes but im writing fast. I hope you will understand the most.
Thanks for reading that long post!
A few days ago, I rooted my phone. My phone got hot and slow so I restored a stock image. Has anyone rooted their phone that actually uses it?
Did all those tutorials actually make the rooted phone worth using?

Been rooted for about close to 3 weeks now. Soon as i rooted, flashed TEKXV2 and all has been good so far. Never had an issue with phone not staying rooted. There are more than a few tweaks floating around that will definitely help improve things overall. But again, never had any type of issues staying rooted.
when you rooted, did you change the kernel governor to Interactive? That should have helped some with the phone getting hot.
It hasn't happened to me yet.

Just read all 80 pages of the how to root thread and then the post root problens thread. Everything you need is in there. Just seriously take the time to read and take notes and itll be the best rooted phone ever. Been a month for me. If you dont read it all people arent going to answer because of all the repetative questions that keep getting asked because of people not reading the existing info

The root on the s7 edge has been the best root for me so far and I've been rooting since the g1 days. If you follow all instructions you will have no problems. Use package disabled pro and turn off software update, there are 2, and you should be good with keeping root for as long as you want. I'm using viper and getting all day battery with tekhd ver2.
I'm running root on the stock ROM and so far so good. I have ViPER4Android + Dolby Atmos and things couldn't be better. The lag and heating issues lasted only for about the first 24 hours, after that battery life improved and the lag ceased a lot. Disable all the bloatware, set the cpu and you'll be fine.
I'm still rooted on stock PG9. After the first day, through heavy tweaking, I was able to get SOT above stock time. There is no lag, and benchmark numbers dropped by less than 2% due to the tweaks.
I have two S7 Edge phones. I rooted one last weekend and after a day, rooted the second one. Only the first one is still rooted today. I'm still not so sure I like the battery life on the rooted one. I changed the governor to on demand as was recommended by the OP in the root thread. After 17hrs standby, I have one hr screen time with 49% left to go. I average about 2-3 hrs on the non rooted phone with 1-2 days standby. I'll likely get less then two on the rooted one with just over a day of standby.
I seriously thought of going back to stock on the rooted one today but I'll hold out for a few more days.
I still have my Note 5, Note 4, Note Edge all rooted so I have plenty of toys to play with no matter what I do with the S7 Edge.
Use this guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039 - in the "recommended next steps", there is a flashable zip that corrects all the kernel issues. I've been running flawlessly with it, better battery life than my wife's unrooted S7E.
i've rooted mine and love it!

Other than the international S7 Edge of course.
Been on current rooted 935T since July 10 - no issues. Tried it earlier but did not factory reset first and had many issues including frequent reboots.
