Unless it's changed from 7.0, flashing SuperSU 2.78 with TWRP 3.0.2-3 is automatically systemless.

Actually, no. Read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68500121&postcount=64 for more info from one of the TWRP devs. He put out -3 to remove all bugs. It's unofficial but it works flawlessly. This is in addition to the information 'only' about the EFS bug.
-0 had issues as people were moving between MM and N, then -1 introduced the EFS bug where restores were causing bootloops and the only fix was generally ADB commands to delete the EFS. -2 had a bug for nandroids over 1GB in size. While -0 may work again with N factory and a security update in the meantime, since there is a -3 that works across the board and the most recent release, why recommend people go back to a version that doesn't work in all circumstances?

When TWRP ask you to install root you answer should be NO!
You install root yourself by flashing SuperSu.

How do you install the update file? Leave as a zip and put in dload folder in internal memory and do a local update?
Do you have to be on 326 to do it? Or can you flash it from any version?
Thank You.

So now you have a link for TWRP, superuser, and 511 stock recovery image file......what do you achieve with that and no TWRP backup files or ROM files? What is this for? Is it to fix a phone already in a boot loop after flashing from 326 to 511?
Which model phone is this for?
Thank You.

Actually I am having several problems. After I bricked my MT7-L09, I found a TWRP backup of MM that someone else posted and I restored it. It got my phone back up and running, but a couple things don't work; wifi and gps are my biggest concerns.
In the "about phone" menu, the model number is now showing JAZZ, and the build number is MT7-C900B511. Do you know how to fix the wifi or gps? Can I use a fresh copy of this ROM and reinstall it to fix it? If so, do you know how? When I looked up the location using the keypad sequence *#*#2846579#*#* it shows no file exists. The phone is rooted.
If fixing it is too difficult due to my limited skills, I'm fine starting over with KitKat, but I don't know where to get the files I need to do it.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

How do I remove TWRP recovery?

I just got my second hand Nexus 6p and the bootloader came unlocked and TWRP is installed.
The updates don't work when TWRP is installed so I want to go back to the stock recovery.
How can I achieve that?
Build number: MMB29P
Android 6.0.1
January 2016 patch.
twrp has nothing to do with not being able to take an update.

Easy Way to Root Android 7?

Is there any easy way to root Android 7 right now? I want to add viperFX because the speaker on my phone is whack as well as maybe test out a few kernels (is Franco still any good? Haven't used one of his kernels since the N4 days). Also I'm not sure if rooting will help but is there also a way to add 60fps recording weather that's 1080p or 4k?
Any help is much appreciated!
Thank you and happy flashing

Latest SuperSU causing bootloop - Stock 7.1.1

So decided to flash stock and update to 7.1.1. Everything was going perfect until I grab the latest SuperSU from chainfires set install it in TWRP then reboot. I keep seeing the ZTE logo then it vibrates, reboots. It just keeps doing that
The version I just tried installing was: SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742. Where are the versions that are compatible with Axon 7. Literally, everytime I install the latest version of the program it bootloops until I start all over. I remember that the Pixel phones had SuperSUs that were made for it. I am wondering does the same thing apply here? is there a confirmed one that works?
2.79, no sr.
which one sir? which one? ill buy you a cookie
@lafester Is there a known issue with SRx (SR3 is most current) not working properly on this device? Does forcing systemless root using the echo command resolve installation issues?
@macboss, I think he means this
5,925,542 UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.79-20161211114519.zip
hey guys. i appreciate the help and all but i, and probably others, would like to root their phones after updating to 7.1.1.
would you mind posting a link to the best working SuperSU you got? It would mean a lot. Thank you.

lg g6 stock oreo Root & xposed?

Hey guys, anyone knows if there is a root and xposed for lg g6 on stock android 8.0 oreo??
Also would like to know root status.
Root.
I installed 3.1.1.0 twrp, not the 3.2.1.0. and did format data in twrp, reboot recovery and then install last magisk 16.4 zip. wipe, and reboot system.
ROOT SUCCESS !
root works but twrp can't mount data atm and you also can't install any magisk mods right now, at least for me. So I don't think it works atm

I had no problems tbh. Melina TWRP 3.2.1, Magisk 16.0 and couple of mods for it, everything works just fine. There are some bugs that came with Android 8.0 but that's not limited to LG G6. That's why i was hoping we'll get 8.1 straightaway, LG had more than enough time and reasons for that.
Got it working for me too.
TWRP 3.1.1 magisk 16.4.
Modules work too.
Will test melina twrp another time.
