Turbo 2 stuck in boot loop, help needed - Droid Turbo 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Droid Turbo 2, XT1585. It got water damaged by a 5 second full submersion. Before that, it already had a display problem... a pink vertical line as well as a loss of color depth. This was caused by a small drop... the screen may be unbreakable, but the display is still fragile. I took the phone completely apart to dry it, and noticed that one of the ribbon cables of the display was torn, so I bought a new display module that included the power button and volume control rocker (OEM with the Verizon logo). I washed the motherboard with alcohol and allowed it to completely dry.
I put it all back together and though the display looks great with the Motorola logo, that is as far as it goes. I can get to the boot menu, and all of the system info looks good, except that is shows Battery Low in red... it showed 39% just before when I took it off of the charger. I can choose recovery, factory, or normal boot, but they all produce the same boot loop. Just shows the Motorola logo for a few seconds, then goes off, then back on and shows the logo again. I have to go into the boot menu to tell it to power off.
I've got nothing to lose at this point as I am looking at getting a replacement. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
Jim

I had an issue with my turbo 2, but it wasn't caused by water (I don't think). The phone randomly froze, went into a bootloop, and would not turn on correctly no matter what I tried. I tried charging, power and volume down for different lengths of time, power button, connection to my computer, nothing worked.

[Q] Nexus 7 dead?

I was on my computer when i remembered i has something written in my tablet's notes that was important. I took it out of my bag and noticed it wouldn't turn on, it was out of battery (hadn't touched it for about a week). I just plugged it in the proper asus charger and put it down and went straight back on my computer.
I decide to check on it after 2 hours thinking it would be near or fully charged. I pick it up and noticed it was on a blank back lit screen. I unplugged it and then the screen turned straight off. Wondering if it didn't charge at all i re-plugged it in. There was no google logo (rooted), instead it turn on with a lit black screen and off and repeating a few times and then small thin artifact pixels run across the screen (red, blue and yellowy colours) and then stay at a black lit screen like when i first picked it up. I had just noticed a small buzzing sound while this was happening and still does so when stuck at the screen. I'm pretty sure it was buzzing when i had found it.
I redid what i had done (unplug, replug) and watch to see if it did the same thing. It did. I tried to power it off while it was at the black screen and it did, but then it would turn back on and etc. Same if i tried to enter boot loader or any key combinations.
I've tried disconnecting the battery and reconnecting and same effect (tried it without battery attached also)
I have a feeling it is dead now and i have no other ideas (checked many forums but got nothing).
Any help would be appreciated.

It's surely hardware failure, have take some humidity or something like that?
Try press power for 60 seconds, if you wont see any Google logo there's some hardware failure you need to RMA ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Return_merchandise_authorization )
found the fix
I found away to fix my nexus 7. You could be right how it might have a minor hardware fault, live in australia in the high hot tropics (high humidity). I decide just to plug it into my computer usb charger instead of the proper charger since it had a lower max amp output. Against my ear, a much fainter buzzing is still heard but this time, there was nothing. No power, no back lit black screen, just a very faint buzzing. Decided to let it sit just to see what happens. After an hour or so, i decided to press the power button and noticed there was a battery charging signal. To my delight, I'm sure it was in working order now so i powered it on and oh how relieved i was.
I determined that my device might have had a small hardware fault that made it draw to much power from the 2 amp original charger and thus why the tablet could not boot up properly (from battery depletion). Either that or my charger could be bugged to. But the thing is, since it charged to slow from the usb, i plugged in the proper charger and it worked fine. Just have to try not deplete my battery i guess.
Thanks.

Moto X Play does not turn on, when connecting charger LED white on

Hello, I have 2 Moto X Play. One of them practically did not use it, and has been in the drawer for more than 2 weeks without use. I do not remember anymore if I left it off or on.
Yesterday I wanted to take it, and I was without battery. I connected the charger and the white led came on; with the combination of buttons I got into fastboot mode, and I wanted to do something there, but impossible, nor enter the recovery, nor power on ... nor anything, it goes out.
In the multiple tests, you can see the screen charger that turns on and off continuously, without showing percentage.
Any suggestions?

Moto G4 sudden death

Hi, I have a Moto G4 XT1621 bought almost 6 months ago. Never had any type of problem, but two days ago I woke up, saw the hour just fine, and five minutes later I grabbed it to check notifications, and it was dead. The only sign of life the phone gave me was the blinking of the charging LED and the phone vibrating randomly when I pressed the power button. That night, the phone turned on, but the screen was always black, no backlight. I heard the boot up animation sound (the classic "HELLO MOTO!!!"), but the screen wasn't turning on.
Thinking it was a software failure, I've flashed the stock rom via fastboot (the phone connects in bootloader mode, but I can't see the bootloader screen), but the problem was the same: I can hear the boot up sound, and if right after the phone boots up I press the power button, I can hear the lock sound about 5 or 6 times, but apparently it turns off itself.
Sometimes, it can't boot properly; the boot up sound is cut before it ends, mainly in "HELLO MO...".
I really need help, I've tried everything: leave it charging for hours, tried a major amperage charger, pressing the power button + vol down for 2, 3 and for 5 minutes, disassembling it and reconnecting the battery, tried to turn it on without the battery, flash stock ROM, all kinds of wipes, etc.
The phone hasn't suffered from water damage, I didn't dropped it or anything like that. The screen connections nor the motherboard connectors does not presents any damage.
Any help is welcome .
PD: Sorry for any misspelling, english isn't my main language :silly:.
Could have been the screen or the GPU

It seems weird because the phone didn't have any issues, it just turned off and bye bye. I'm running out of options
Edit: needless to say that the phone don't stay that much powered on (5 seconds aprox. for the sound that the lock screen do), so I don't think this is a screen problem. If it was a screen failure, the phone will stay on.
Bad/good news?
Almost five minutes ago, I noticed that the screen on the phone is on, but slightly visible, almost impossible to see: you have to be in a fully darked room, and its backlight it's on, but it shows no sign of letters on the bootloader or boot animation whatsoever, it's just backlight.
Any ideas of what could it be? I'm almost decided that I need a screen replacement, but any ideas will be welcomed.

Battery is fully discharged and doesn't charging - only access is to Fastboot

Hello,
I wasn't using my Moto X Style for some time. I've took it yesterday, and it has a problem with loading.
Battery is fully discharged. I can't turn on my phone.
When I plug phone to charger (I've tried 4 different charges, with different cables), screen is blinking - white screen with battery icon on it. It's showing for around 1-3 seconds, turn off, and again. I left it for whole night, but it doesn't help. Still nothing.
I can get into Fastboot. When I choose any option like Start / Reset Bootloader/ Recovery Mode etc. is showing white screen with Moto logo, than turn off and screen is black, after that I can't get into Fastboot mode, I need to unplug and plug cable again.
I've noticed, that when I get first time in Fastboot mode, I saw red information "Battery is low". Now, after my trying to turn on the phone, there is green information "Battery is OK"
When I left telephone in Fastboot mode, it restart after some seconds, and start blinking with white screen and battery icon.
Any ideas how to turn it on?
I saw in internet one option, to disassembly phone, cut USB cable, and put (+) and (-) wires directly to battery to load it. What do You think?
It sounds like your battery may be completely shot. Battery replacement may be your only option.

I'm thinking, that You are right
I'll replace battery
Thank You
Almost sure your battery is dead, or in a weird case it may be disconnected
I got an used X Style that wasn't turning on at all and it did the same things you described, i popped out the back cover and saw that indeed the battery was disconnected, after putting the connector in place it booted up normally (btw, the battery didn't last too long, it couldn't last more than 20 min and would turn off, so yeah you should change it for better)

H910 Black screen with backlight on

Today my V20 H910 died on me in a rather strange way.
I've been running it on rooted Oreo (older version, not sure which specific, I know I had a made up LG logo to cover that strange "security breach" warning that usually appears after rooting) for the last 8 months or so and it worked flawlessly.
Today I started playing some game and noticed that phone had 6% battery left I plugged it in. After 15 mins or so, my game froze and screen started fading in whitish color. At this point it also became nearly unresponsive to on screen and power buttons. I ended up pulling the battery and once reinserted the phone vibrated as usual on start, however there were only black backlit screen instead of usual LG logo. Further down the road I heard AT&T ringtone, meaning the phone has booted, but the screen remained black. Eventually the phone rebooted and repeated all this a couple of times, after what it stopped going further of couple of backlight blinks. It also would get quite hot while charging.
I tried using an older charger (from a Samsung phone, that does not provide the fast charging), and it appears not to get hot while charging and after some time I could get a vibration after pressing the power button, but still black screen and it wouldn't load any further. Also I measured battery voltage before putting it on the older charger and it was around 2.7 volts. After about hour on that charger it came up to 3.4 volts. After attempted power on with charger plugged in it got hot again and reduced the voltage to 2.9.
If somebody had a similar issue, please share how did you tackle it. Thank you.
Well, answering my own question just in case it would help someone else. A gentlemen at my local repair shop told me that it was a screen issue and quoted me $140 for a repair...
