I don't understand which app gives this notification. I tap on it and nothing happens. I click on okay and it just disappears and come back again after some time. Does anyone have a clue?

its from music app.
Yes, thats from Music application because, the player would be trying to fetch song lyrics etc, and since you are using mobile data, you may incur additional money. So, its basically a warning but since you are using JIO, so ignore it!

Nope! -.- They made EUI crap! There are even some Chinese apps in Indian version of EUI.. like. Emoticon store.. which is all in Chinese So stupid! I'm just waiting for le to release kernel source -.-

Yes. it's from Music. Might be due to Hungama service to the Music Player on 5.8.019S. I never used the Music app. so not aware

I just updated my phone the new CM 7.1 RC1 and now when I play music with the head phone jack on every time the phone moves just a little the tracks skip/pause/misc stuff happens. Is there any way to disable this function it is really getting on my last nerves?

i was having the same problem.it woulf skip every 1minute or wen i unlocked. go the market and download "block headset" its a widget. this should solve ur problem it did for me
thanks that seemed to work for me.
So now that I installed a ICS based rom "block headset" does not seem to work any more. Anyone know how to kill it with Android 4 OS?

what music app are you using? Have you attempted looking through settings to see if there's a "shake to change song" option?

I am using the built in Google music app, and no there is no option in it to turn it off.
Over the past few days, the music app has started playing music without anything to start it. I have not installed any apps that control the music playback and there are no widgets on the main home screen to do as such either.
Anyone else? Very odd behavior. I tried searching but nothing even close came in the results.

Good point. However, I'm currently not paired to any devices. I haven't needed my headset or headphones just yet, so no pairing yet.

I have some similar problem. Sometimes when playing a track, it skips to the next track automatically. I have no idea what's causing this.

Random music
I have had the same type of thing happen with a Droid X. Seemed to happen when I received a notification. As if it was grabbing a particular song instead of the notification tone. Just a thought.

If you have root, I recommend Autostarts. Let's you disable apps being notified when various events happen.

Have you restored any application backups with TiBu or something similar? If so, then that app's ringtones could be set to play a random ringtone. With the right software installed, this could mean a random song. If this is the problem, just set that app's ringtones again to fix it.

In some chatting apps, friend A sends a message saying aaa, at the same time friend B sends a message saying bbb.
On notification bar, it displays "2 messages from xxx" but NOT "message aaa from A" AND "message bbb from B",
That is, the messages are merged together and I can't read each contents of messages in a quick view.....
So, is it possible not to merge messages in galaxy s4 (android)? like iOS?
Nope you cant control that. The app chooses. If you're talking about txting then theres several alternative txting apps you could get in the play store

yeah, that's a "no can do" but still you are able to expand notifications. Like swiping down... Try that so it changes from "5 messages on 3 conversations" to:
aaa: hi
aaa: !
bbb: hey
ccc: lol
ccc: crazy

Does the app you are using change? The app which i'm using does not change when swiping down......
what's the app that changes? If it does change, then it's the problem of app, right?

Whenever I've clicked on a phone number to call via Google Maps, it would always show up that defaulted apps and ask me what i wanted to use.
Everytime it pops up, i keep clicking "Always" for the default dialer. I thought it would set it as default, but when i had to look up a business to call their place, that "Default Apps" keep popping up. Is this in any way connected to Samsung Hubs like how screen Rotations was related to samsung hubs removal?
Is there a way to fix this? I don't want to have to click it again while driving.

I tried it myself and it went right to the dialer without a pop up. What apps is it asking you to choose from? More of a work around than a fix, but... If you do not use the other apps, can you delete them? That way you shouldn't see the pop up?

There were two, one a dialer and the other one is the Lookout. The one with the Lookout always ask to scan before dialing out. Don't get why it keep asking that.
EDIT: i think the same thing happen to the IE (Chrome) when it asked til i removed Chrome and it doesn't ask anymore. haven't tried it with the youtube yet.

Well. You are probably aware, but lookout is your security/antivirus app, so it makes sense that it scans.
Unfortunately I do not have it installed so I cannot comment on how it is suppose to act.

That not the problem. What i meant is that the default doesn't work. It always ask, even when i select "Always use as Default". I had assumed that from that, it'll always use the apps i selected as a default, but for some reasons, it isn't working.

I installed Lookout and was able to reproduce your experience. That might be the way lookout works. As a security app, it gives you the chance to scan everything before executing. OR It could just be a bug.
One thing is for sure... Lookout is the cause of your grief. You can play around with the Lookout settings, but in the end, you may have to choose what is more important to you.
As from the title you can see that I found the easiest way to play background YouTube's videos or music which doesn't require for you to download external apps that allow that. This allows the listening while the screen is off and while using other app (not sure didn't test on every app).
Note: I'm not sure if if there is a another post on this but just incase if someone don't know about it...
1) First of all chose the YouTube video/music you want to listen in the background while doing other stuff.
2) once the video/music is playing go to home screen and after going to the home screen press the power button once to lock your device.
3) then wake up your device again this should take you to the lock screen page as shown in the picture below
4) once you can see the lock screen that has notifications on it, then swipe the clock to the left which should show the name of the YouTube title.
That's it hopefully this does work forever as I am not sure if the android would potentially close YouTube after a while but yeahhhhhh. You lot probably already know about this but just wanted to share if somebody doesn't know it.
You need to have lucky patcher and adaway youtube. Don't let it update or you'll lose ad free.

Just tried, didn't work. It is greyed out. What still does work though is when you open the video in youtube, lock, and press play button on your headphones. It starts playing and will even continue going when you're playing from a playlist for example.
