Att stores have no clue

Seems like those fools haven't a clue I'm going to the store 7 * in the past week and they told me it was going to be there by the 21st. Then they told me he was going to be there on the 25th. The 26th. The 27th. The 28th. Customer service so they can overnight me 1. But in order to do so I would have to cancel my account again. Ughhh, help??

Of course they have no clue. AT&T encourages hiring drones who have no interest in phones nor any discernible sales skills, in exchange for working more hours for less pay, in a "union" that does nothing but dock your pay for dues. They're told to toe the company line and have no individual thought, lest they risk termination.
That being said, most employees don't CARE when the phone will be out, or if you're waiting for one. They're trained to sell TODAY, to hype whatever is in stock, so they get paid, and more importantly AT&T gets paid.

Yeah, I got a nice " we have other phones that work" and I said " not really, but honestly I just want to know if u have s3 in the back" they do, just waiting on Samsung to greenlight the launch! Fml right most everyone?

I got lucky today and walked into my local corporate store and asked if they had any. They said they had one that was a preorder returning I could see it. I asked them if I could buy it and they said no and the manager said to hold on a minute. She went into the back and made a phone call and came out and said if I wanted it I can buy it.
I'm stoked I got so lucky.

my store says tomorrow...but as a back up i still pre ordered thru the store and having it shipped to my work...just did this around 7pm EST and my BB preorder is still nowhere in sight...

Im a VZW customer. I ahvent ventured into other carriers threads till I saw this.
I had a similiar experience today. I expected your phones out on the 21 and then maybe 28th. I figured theyd at least have a floor model I could hold in my hands to just play around with.
nothing there. the woman had never even heard of the phone and said i should buy an iphone. I laughed and said nothanks and left.
I didnt realize how bad yall have it. seems this is common from the comments here.
Compared to teh VZW store in teh same mall it was night and day. Im not trolling if it comes off that way. I was so envious of you all.

The T-Mobile store in my local mall had one on display! I was very eager to actually play with the phone and see how it felt and looked. The Pebble blue looks nicer than I thought it would but I will stick to the white one I preordered on Verizon. I never should have gone in there! Now the wait is just that much more annoying.

When I preordered online the 1st time around, it said devices would ship by 10/15. Maybe that's what they mean? But it wouldn't be unheard of for stores to get early drop shipments and do soft releases for those who ask. Best bet is to call the stores.

I think I'll drive by a store tomorrow and ask if I can get one to see what they say.

That may be when they're expecting to receive it and start selling it. I would definitely call in Wednesday or especially Thursday to see if maybe they got some in earlier than expected. Never hurts to ask. I called BB every day for a week before Moto 360 release and managed to snag 2 before official launch.

yeah, thats sort of what I plan to do; plus I have a "friend" at my local Tmo store, and told him to let me know when he can actually sell me one.
if I have to wait a couple extra days, thats ok with me too, since I have an M8 to use until then

i wish they would do that, even my friend who works at tmo couldnt get me one... i have to wait..... 5 more days. unless i beg the guy in the nearest store, he seemed cool.

I have a sibling that is a manager at a corporate retail store and they don't have any in stock. It's still lined up for the 17th launch.

Well that sucks. Oh well, I'll just wait until Friday and get mine. I would have pre ordered if I had known I could have gotten it today. I'll be out of town Friday, so I didn't want to preorder and have it sitting at home until I got back. I'll just go to a T-Mobile store while I'm out of town.

I was told from a t mobile rep if you used jump as I did you get priority shipping, I received my note 4 on the 13th of October

just came back from my main tmobile store, and the mgr said he STILL doesnt have any note 4's, and he has lost about a dozen sales because he has nothing to sell yet. He said they didnt even send him a "preorder" sheet, so he could request a certain amount of phones, so he has no idea how many he is getting, or when they are coming..

Damn your already getting a Note 4 after just getting the M8 a few months ago. I guess I'm also considering it. We bad. LoL. I have a guy that always hooks me up at T-Mobile too. If I get it I'll use my wife's Jump and then give her my G3. I might wait til Christmas since I still like my G3 and maybe there might be some kind of promo then.

I sold my G3 last month and used my brothers nexus 5 till I got the note.
Last year was worse tho, had the Sony Xperia Z, HTC One, LG G2, Sony Xperia Z2, and Nexus 5 within span of 3.5 months! Lol

Yea I said we bad as in both of us. lol I have a Jump I can use so why not but I'm not sold on the Note 4 yet. Might wait and see about the Nexus or maybe even the iPhone+ for something different. I played with one today and it's not that much bigger then the G3 /Note 4.

Damn...A year or so ago I got tired of Samsung phones so went to LG. I had the LG G2 around 4 months then the Flex for around 4 months and the G3 for around 4 months. I tried the Sony Z but didn't like the battery life. I thought about maybe getting the Z3 but I just don't know about Sony/T-Mobile updates.

The BB $200 gift card scam

For weeks I have been trying to take advantage of the BB 200. gift card offer for Sprint N4 white. checking the web site day and night every day, calling my local store NEVER in stock and "Sold out online" Offer ended last night, this morning for the first time my local store now has them in stock. What a scam.

I thought the $200.00 BB thing was for pre orders only....

NO because you could also use the credit towards buying an S5 as well.

I remember seeing and or reading that this offer was good on pre-orders on the note 4 which had a release day of 10/17 so that made the offer invalid after that. I heard of people using it towards an S5, i have no idea why but hey to each their own. I was also told that when my phone came in that they would only hold my pre order for a day.

They had the offer under "Weekly Specials" Oct26-Nov.1 for Note4 and S5

Could have purchased the s5 and returned within the 14 day period for note 4

Finally yesterday a bb 70 miles north had them in Stock. Hauled ass and bought one with a $200 trade in for an old LG Optimus m. Funny thing, when I got there the "consutants" couldn't find them. Chewed my nails for about an hour. Ended up being $165 out the door.

Had no problem with my trade in and 200 towards my note 4. All best buys in my are have had them all week.

They completely screwed me out of my $200 even on a pre-order. I had spoken with a rep who suggested I have the pre-order shipped to home to avoid the out of stock store issues (like she knew in advance it was going to happen). When I got my Note 4, I went to my local Worstbuy and they told me that it had to be picked up at the store. When I asked to see that in writing, the manager stuttered and walked away to send a message back through another associate that he couldn't honor it. When I went to another store the next day, I was told that the program was changed to the trade in had to be the most recent phone on that line. I wasn't giving up my Note 3, so he tried a few different things but couldn't override the system. He told me to just call Worstbuy back office and they will take care of it. After days of unanswered calls and ridiculous wait times, I sent a few emails. They each took 48 hours to answer, with no resolution yet. I'm waiting for the nonsense they will try to spew out next. This was the last time I pre-order anything through them, and quite possibly buy anything from them.

Well it worked for me yesterday. I've been checking the stock every day since they came out. Both white and black were in stock briefly last weekend but i couldn't make it to the store. The black one came back in stock Friday and I went up first thing Saturday and purchased it. I traded in my old nexus 4g for it. I haven't had that active on my account for years. I also got the $50 phone freedom giftcard. So i paid $49.99 plus tax for my new note 4.

A moderator there, Allan-BBY, has been working relentlessly (weekdays only) to help straighten out customer issues by directly emailing managers of problematic stores. He has said many, many times that Best Buy corporate has decided it WILL honor all preorders regardless of when the device comes in. I have not heard anything about excluding ones placed after 10/17. Also, just tonight a regular employee from Best Buy mobile posted, confirming the system was still giving them the option to honor the promo.
If you're having problems, I highly suggest you make an account there and post a reply or directly message Allan-BBY so he can straighten things out with stores who are confused.

So your saying Sunday Nov.2 after the promo ended BB honored the 200. gift card deal?

I also thought it was a scam. I called about 6 best buys a day and they all said they were still filling in pre-orders. Finally on Oct 31, I just went to the store thinking I would just get the S5 for now and then exchange it for a note 4 when they finally have it in stock within the 14 day period. Long and behold I walked in and asked if they had any note 4s in stock for Sprint and he said yes. I first thought they were joking and was a little surprised. I ended up upgrading 2 of our phones and got very lucky on getting them. I had my old EVO and an old MY Touch HTC one phone to trade in.
The sales rep started looking into the system to make sure my trade in phones were eligible and he said that EVO was eligible and the HTC one was not. Then I questioned him saying that your add says any working smart phone then he showed me something in fine print that said some BS that not all phones may be eligible. I was a little shocked so I asked him what system are they checking to see if the phones are eligible? He told me to go to bestbuy.com/tradein. So while I waited I started to look and long and behold that My touch HTC one was listed online so I showed it to him. He ended up saying he didn't see it because it was on the bottom of the list and they ended up giving me the rebate for both of the phones. I later find out from another sell rep that he didn't realize the phone was an HTC so he ended up looking for just "My touch" rather than "HTC My Touch". Lesson learned to make sure to look up the phone online before you go to the store.

Actually i was able to preorder my note 4 and I traded my Old s3. But some thing happened. Sprint didn't put their system that I got note 4. So even though i got my not 4 on easy pay but again there's no record which shows that I have installment on this phone. That means i got my note 4 for only 30 dollars, but i should also receive $200 from sumsung. So now I'm thinking not to claim Samsung's money because they might call sprint and ask them about this phone. What do you guys think?

Why is pricing such a secret with this device? So weird.
Can't wait to get this in my hands soon! I love the V10 so far (it's a loaner device between the Note 7 and V20) and know I'll love the V20 even more!

As a long time Verizon customer, I knew it was only a matter of time until they released the V20, as they first wanted to have a push for the Pixel exclusivity.
Still, would like a bootloader unlocked device that can at least be rooted.
It would also be nice is Verizon had a nice deal like what Tmobile is doing.

Verizon is definitely doing the deal with getting the free pair of headphones but it's to be seen if they will sweeten the deal like Tmobile.

According to various forums and here, the V20 is arriving at doorsteps today for many T-mobile customers. I am jealous, they just started the pre order and I pre ordered mine a week ago with AT&T and may not see it until next week

Can't wait for Verizon to get their pre order up. I'm pretty sure I'm ordering it. This being posted from my note 7. Like many others I don't want to get rid of this phone but oh well. LG v20 looks like a good replacement.

All deals that Tmo is doing can all be traced back to being LG deals. The headphones, tablet bundle and even the making sure devices are given a minimum $200 trade in value.

So from the looks of it, the best deal is for T-Mobile as they are also getting a $200 trade in credit for any working 4G phone and a free tablet, in addition to the B&O Earbuds. Verizon is just the Earbuds (which all carriers are doing). Best Buy is doing a $200 BB Gift Card.

I'm going to go pick mine up now. Had the manager hold the silver one for me as there was only one left. I don't know why they're there early, but I thought I'd call just in case, and indeed they have them 5 days early!

I called 4 of my stores today, all of them said they have no idea when they will be getting them in.... did you indeed pick it up from the store?

Why not just order it from the Verizon website.
I ordered mine Thursday night. Received it Friday. Just activated it a few hours ago and been playing with it a little. Love the phone so far.

I called my local store to see if they had stock and was told yes. I proceeded to unroot and relock my bootloader on my Nexus 6 to have it ready for swap (payment plan upgrade). Got my two kids in the car and headed to the store. Got there and they have no idea what I'm talking about but after some prompting decided to check their inventory. They say they have 6 in Titan but then the store manager can't find them, and basically tell me to go order it online as it won't be in store till the 25th and they couldn't sell me one anyways if they did have stock. I really just wanted to see and feel the phone, everything else I'm sold on. But the attitude I got when we are talking about hundreds of dollars worth of hardware and service, really astounds me. Anyway the moral of the story is YMMV as far as getting a v20 in store before the 25th. Smh I wanted silver anyways.....

it's a verizon store, what did you expect? everytime i goto corporate stores, they're all ignorant a**holes. i hate corporate verizon. i used to run an authorized retailer, and people would constantly tell us nightmare stories of corporate stores, and all i would do is agree, because i felt the same way. they're idiots, and the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

Long story short: I had a temp phone (V10) and couldn't get V20 until V10 was returned. So online wasn't an option for me.

That sucks. I got lucky I guess. I'm thrilled too - this is by far the best phone I've ever used (including the Note 7 which I had for a month).

Its funny, now that I had to go back to stock, I decided to flash a Nuget ROM and now I'm not sure if I want to upgrade, my n6 still really holds its on with new software.

My Verizon zone (authorized retailer) said not until Friday. After reading this, I think I'm gonna call every day lol.

I returned my Pixel XL Saturday, came home called the store to ask about resetting my updrade date. Ended up ordering after the cut off to have it shipped Saturday but I got my tracking info this morning and gets here tomorrow. Really looking forward to ths phone, I had to return my Note 7 and Samsung still shipped my my 256GB SD card for Free.

Same thing with me, but I got the s7 edge after my Note 7. Man, s7 edge software felt so half-baked compared to the Note 7. Also, the Note 7 curved back makes a huge difference when you hold the phone. I am returning my s7 edge and getting my v20 on wednesday and using my 256gb samsung card.

Quick question for those of you that got yours through verizon. Does it come with a factory screen protector? I'll be getting mine tomorrow and I have a case for it, but I couldn't seem to find a screen protector that was worth a damn. I really don't want to go naked until I find one if I can help it.

Yes it comes with a screen protector that can be used. Just has a small pull tab on it.

Yeah, its a cheap plastic screen protector. I'll keep it on till it bubbles up or starts to peal off.
