I flashed & rooted my S7 Edge using http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...de-flashing-sm-935u-firmware-verizon-t3415145 and was wondering how I can re-flash it? After following the guide, Bluetooth and 'Always Stay-On' stopped working and someone told me to re-flash it. So Do I just start over on the guide? Or Do I factory reset the phone and start from there?

You just follow the guide doing the odin step in flashing the stock firmware and that's it.

Hi Guys,
This was my original FW:
AP: N900UBUBMI5
CP: N900UBUBMI2
CSC: N900UUBBMI2
Model: SM-N900 International version ( no carrier branding etc), FW version was from Uruguay
I flashed the wrong stock yesterday, and when I found the right one and tried to flash back it wouldn't work. I keep on getting a failed message in Odin in the system.img stage. Tried several different stock roms, tried to wipe data in recovery with no luck. Anyone know what I can do?

You have posted the same question twice: (original link) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2489935
I have provided you instructions with a process to ROOT, install TWRP and work with the appropriate ROM files to get things operational. You responded to my PM stating you already had a recovery ROM you tried but it still fails.
Unfortunately, I have a feeling your device is glitched which is why I recommended you follow each section and each step to the letter. I understand this is redundant steps as you would be ROOTING, installing TWRP and going through a similar process as before but it's what we call process of elimination with troubleshooting in case something happened during the ROOT or with the install of your TWRP software. I have provided you with the appropriate ROM file and TWRP files for your device which should hopefully do the trick but downloading them takes time as hotfile limits your download speed.
I'm being a bit direct but your situation is more of a troubleshooting matter which takes time and has no magical/quick answer. Rather than posting twice, please try what is suggested and respond with the outcome so we can further troubleshoot.
Thank you!
Hi,
I really do appriciate all your help but it seems something else is going on. Once you told me the first time I installed TWRP already and that didn't solve the problem. I always get stuck in odin in the flashing of the system.img. I already tried everything you said many times today but it didn't work
Maybe this phone is different than other phones.

I understand you have installed TWRP to try and do a recovery but this is what I'm saying... Maybe the ROOT went sideways and something is glitched in the device. If you follow my instructions which I provided via PM, this involves rooting the phone again, installing TWRP from scratch and going through each step as if it were a new device. It will take about 1 hour to do this process due to hotfile server speeds but once you've gone through this process, if it still hangs then another problem may be occurring. My thoughts are the ROOT itself or the TWRP recovery have become corrupt somehow causing you to get stuck during the flashing process.
Hope this helps!

You might be right, but when I tried to root my device again I got into a boot loop. My phone doesn't have a operational operating system so the root wouldn't work it just boot looped. After that I re installed TWRP and proceeded but again failed in the same place...

OK, when you go into TWRP, from the touch base menus, click on format or wipe and within this menu, click on each option in a clockwise direction twice. This will wipe your device and hopefully come this time, you'll be able to ROOT the device again. Let us know how it works.

Hi, I was unable to find exactly, step by step, what I wanted in the search so I hope that someone will be kind enough to help me as a n00b, to reset my UK snapdragon (n9005) to complete factory settings. I currently have a custom TWRP recovery and a ROM, and what I know vis that I need to find a firmware (WHICH??) on sammobile to flash through odin.
A little bit of help will be greatly appreciated, I'm worried about bricking this device.
Thanks.

1- Flash the stock firmware for your device:
use Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser' to download the correct firmware for your device and flash via Odin.
2- Factory reset:
go to Settings > Backup and reset > Factory data reset > Reset device.
3- Delete files on internal storage:
You may need to manually delete user's files on the internal sdcard.
Thank you so much - hoping to get to it tonight.

Do those steps look familiar? You followed a procedure to sim unlock your phone.
Try to redo your steps and maybe it will unlock again. If not, try region away app, but you need to downgrade your modem to 4.2.2 for that.

The only procedure i followed was the one on youtube which i stupidly thought would fix GPS.
As i remember i bought it outright from vodafone uk and worked with any sim straight out the box so this is all new territory for me..
Should i follow the steps above link you mentioned? I see in Phone Info my IMEI is still in tack so i'm not sure if re-flashing firmware will do the trick but don't think so.. In service mode it seems IMEI is NA..
info on my phone is attached.
Thanks for advice!

The Youtube video shows the exact same steps as the link I gave you. It's dangerous to just follow Youtube video's without any description.
You can also try to reflash the firmware you are on, but I doubt it will fix it. So just do the steps again from the Youtube video.

Now it feels like my 2nd phone's a dud ggrrr.. should know better i know after flashing and doing all sorts to phones for many years!
I'll be forever grateful if someone can get me out of this mess.

It's not a big deal downgrading modem to 4.2.2.
1. Downgrade modem.
2. Run region lock away
3. Flash normal modem again.

Few questions..
Can i flash any 4.2.2 modem like this one and use OMEGA lollipop to run region lock away? Would appropriate it if you can link a decent link for the modem.
So downgrade my XXUHOF2 (my bootloader is also OF2) to 4.2.2 modem by flashing through odin right? Just hope it won't brick it that way.
Any 4.2.2 modem will work. Flash it through Odin. For RegionLock Away the ROM shouldn't matter, though stock is recommended. As for the link, look in General. You'll find an entire thread of modems there.
I'm guessing i only need to flash modem and leave the XXUHOF2 bootloader alone?
so
1.flash 4.2.2 modem using odin
2.flash 4.2.2 rom in twrp
3.install and run RegionLock Away then restart for it to work
4.flash back XXUHOF2 modem in odin
5.flash omega lollipop in twrp
Is that more less the procedure?
Thanks again for help and advice @Lennyz1988 @Strephon Alkhalikoi

I did the procedure and 'Sim Unlock Pin' appears to be gone. However when i flashed back to XXUHOF2 modem there seems to be no service or emergency call only.
Will reflash of bootloader or rom fix this?
Thanks again mate!

Try to flash a Lollipop stock rom. You can backup your current rom and restore after you flashed stock rom.

I soft bricked my s7 edge while trying to install TWRP, I rooted the phone and not reading *yes don't kill me* didn't realize the tmobile version has a locked bootloader, so here I am with a soft brick phone at work trying to fix it, it seems I need a stock image for me to put it back to stock, but if there is a stock rooted rom that would be better, can someone guide me in the right direction?

are you in download mode? make sure you put your phone in download mode and you download the drivers for your phone unto your pc
Well the title says it all. Made a similar post in that wrong area I believe. That's probably why I didn't get a response.
Anyway, I had 6.0 but had downgraded to 5.0 and my build is SM-G870AUCUBF03. I tried to apply a stock kernel, G870A_NE4_Stock_Kernel.tar.md5, more specifically and it appears to be soft-bricked.
It shows the Samsung splash then after awhile going into recovery mode. I can still access Download mode as well. I tried hard-resetting, wiping data/factory settings. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
You could try the restore firmware function in Kies. It will be the easiest way to get back a working phone
I'm trying that right now, but it is saying that the connected device is not supported.
Can't find 5.0 stock firmware or anything really that leads me to believe that I can recover this phone. I can't believe this.

First Google search.

I'd suggest staying away from KIES and using Odin instead. In fact if you use Odin, and you have KIES installed on the same PC, disable it first. When all else fails, Odin is your friend. Just read up on the steps for using Odin if you're unfamiliar with it. And make sure you have the right firmware.
