yo, some time ago i brought a extended battery from AliExpress, took a lot of time to receive it, when i get it i put on my phone, and use it for a while and then it shout off, i think OK i was like 3 months or more whitout charge, so i go to home and put to charge for some hours, later that day i start to use my note, all was ok, i dont think it was a real 6800 mAh but it was OK, it more than the standar 3220, all was ok until i get 40-45%, and it shout off again from nothing, i take out the battery and turn on again, it show some extra % but keep turning off, i dont see the samsung logo it just turn off, but if i active the power save mode i can drain the battery to 0%, idk why but i can use all the charge on power save mode. My note 4 was the N910U version, the octacore exynos.
this is the battery http://imgur.com/X8V4nLB
so my question is, it can be some voltage diference on the consumption in MM 6.0.1 or older, or it was just a defective battery? is any way to see the battery Voltage , if it was low or something, i dont have idea what is just appened here, i got a pollarcell one but i need to charge it 2 or 3 times on the day, all i want is more SOT
PD: sorry for my bad english

Please,My XDA II seems to never last one whole day....say 45 min of WMA, and a few phoen calls say lasting for 30-40 min total...and playing around once in a while....can't even last until i get back home at night after work....is there some problem that I should know or a way of charging the battery so it can fully charge properly......at night it is docked synced with the pc, and I've toggled the screen so i will blank....but still doesn't last as long as they say it should....150hr stanby...not even near.... please help thx
I guess you have a problem...
Mine runs up to 7h on MP3 with diplay switch off.
Your problem is surely not a standard one...
My Battery lasts between 18 and 30 hours depending on use.
Some power saving tips
1. Reduce the level of brightness while on battery.
2. Turn off automatic beam receive.
3. If your phone is constantly searching for a signal turn off the radio and wait till you move positions.
4. If you don't use bluetooth, turn it off. If you do, consider using it when just necessary.

Thx...I'll have to contact XDA II about this....I just got it for 3 days
By the way,...does the first battery charge time make any difference in the latter use of the battery
lichion batt first get their full str after awhile i seem to recall
also do as the manual say at the first charge dont use the led to
see when it's don leave it charging for 8hours
I have 2 batteries. I normally swop my batteries at night. I never have the problem of running out of power until 2 days back. I had a battery low 20% warning at about 5+ pm. That was 'cos I was using it more than usual. If this helps.

Hi guys, my atom battery only can last me 24 hours, way below the rated 150 hours standby time. i leave it on standby mode for 7 hours, it drains from 100% to 80%.
i didn't charge it for at least 8 hours when i first bought it, instead i used it till it drained (can't wait to use it man!), i guess that's why my battery life now is so short.
Questions
1. is there any way to recover the battery's optimal performance?
2. if not, i think i'm going to buy a new battery. Now with the new battery, can i just put it on to my phone and charge it for 8 hours? or do i have to hard reset?
3. if i have 2 batteries, can i use them at the same time?
Thanks guys!

LOL, thats funnny
Anyway,
I don't think buying a new battery would change it. My friend did, and it makes no different. Still short life battery.
I just found out (i might be wrong) that the problem is not about the battery but the programs you are running. As i just upgrade mine to Atom Exec (they both use the same bat) and I let it runs few hours in stand by mode. The battery only drains like few percent after few hours. In short, 2-3 days per charge.
However, after installing some of the programs. I notice that the battery drains very fast. 1 percent every 15-20mins? Im not sure, but i can tell that its so much faster then when i installed some programs. So i'm trying to figure it out which program that drains the battery so fast. I think it might be Pocket Plus (again, got to confirm it, i dont wanna uninstall it yet though) cause thats the only one of the program that i just installed after it running smoothly 2-3 days without charging. Now it only last for nearly a day per charge. And its just few days ago. Has anyone got this problem?
depends on apps that are ruuning, make sure you dont have anything running itthe background (windows defult is to minise instead of close) aslo Li ion polymer battaries are best to be kept on a constant charge, ie when not in use plug it into the USB cable. dont lef the battary drain as that can lead tot eh battary dying.
Thanks for replying guys.
Hmm... i don't think the programs that are installed matter. Because if it's in standby mode, isn't it that the device, or to be more specific, the CPU is not running at all? And no matter how many programs you install, if you don't run the programs, it shouldn't consume any CPU usage.
Please correct me if i'm wrong.
Did your friend charge it for at least 8 hours before he used the new battery and then drain it and charge it for 3 times?
im not saying its because u intalled too many programs. Im saying that some program causes the battery to drains faster. I know that the phone is on stand by mode, but u have to remember application such as pocket plus running all the time in the background (reading battery info etc..). Its just like the phone still picking up signal in stand by mode (of course). thats how the battery drains.
Anyway, i was able to use the phone for 3 days in stand by mode. And now its only around 20 hours. Thats is significant lower (1/3) and its only few days ago as mentioned. So its really something that makes the battery flat quickly. Im too busy to hard reset it to make it like before

1. Have you installed o2plus? If "yes", try to deinstall it. Yesterday, I have found that O2PLUS is the reason of quick discharging of the accum. With O2Plus my Atom worked only 16 hours from full charge till full discharge.
Without O2Plus - it drains from 100% to 90% for the 9 hours(in stand-by mode).
2. No, you don't need in new battery.
3. Yes, if you have some skills in electronic
Hello
Just got my blackstone, had it for a few days and i need to charge it every day, almost 2 times a day with moderate use. I turned off 3G, turned down the backlight. But still, if i just mess with it a little, in settings and so on, i can litteratly see the battery life getting lower. An hour ago it was 100%, now its on 83%. Any one who got some pointers on this?
Thanks.
I had a similar issue with mine, got it a couple of weeks ago with a stock Orange UK rom onboard.
Battery hasn't fully depleted, but I usually charge it everynight as it quick charges.
I've since put Dutty's 3.9XT Turbo rom on and battery life has been a lot better.
For example, charged overnight last night (from 59%) and am now at 90% after a few texts and emails. Normally I struggle to hold a 3G signal in my office so its alternating between G, 3G and H all the time, which also drains the battery, and have a push mail application running in the background.
I also charge it in the car in my cradle to and from work. Could probably get two days at a push if I needed to, but it would require charging in the car as well to do that.
Thanks. I flashed it with the energy rom, and the battery really sucks. What does actually the "H" mean, when that is in the status field? "E" is edge, G is 3g, but "H" is?
Try disabling 3g to see better battery life. I think my battry life is quite good without 3g. Running latest energy rom. H is hspda I think. Disable that also to check the affect on battery life.
Thanks. Ive done all that. 7 hours ago the battery was at 100%, now its at 15%. Ive texted 5 messages, and made 2 phonecalls. If i go into settings f.example, press a little, i can see the % gone down a few. Something must seriously be wrong.

Yeah, somethings up with it. To compare I took mine off the charger 7 hours ago sent 4 emails, used gps 3 times, browsed several sites for a total of about 45 min., made two short calls and I'm down to 75%. Thats all on edge.

Definitely sounds like a more serious issue.
I have 3G and HSDPA on all the time and still get through about 25% battery during most of the day, with a few texts, a call or two and some email/browsing etc.
I also make sure that I close any other applications that I've finished with to calm memory and processor usage down.
Thanks. Yes, it sounds like an issue. Wish i had you guys battery. I can litteratly see the % go down, if i go to settings, press something go back and so on. Bought a new 1350mah battery on ebay, hope that would do the trick. Its bugging me sooo much, breaking swet becouse of it, lol.
Did you also turn off bluetooth and wireless? I get three days out of mine without 3G.
Yeah, all that stuff is off. Only edge is on. The battery must be faulty, thats the only thing i can think of. Example, made a phonecall now for 5 minutes, it dropped 10% on the battery.

bthelastman,
Try these following steps to recalibrate your battery.
1) Turn off the phone.
2) Let it charge overnight and don't unplug it.
3) In the morning, use the phone till it is down to 10% (Don't go lower than this number).
4) Turn off the phone, and do a full-charge again.
Repeat these steps 2 ~ 3 times and see if the battery gets better. Sometimes, it is not that the battery is bad, but merely the calibration is a little off. Always try to charge your phone when it is turned off, it keeps the accuracy of the battery lasting much longer without having to do a full-discharge.
Let us know how this works out for you.
Cheers.

Thank you PoisonWolf, i will test this out. Thanks.

akash_nu,
I beg to disagree. What I am saying is, sometimes, the battery in itself can hold the right amount of charge, but the onboard motherboard thinks it is not holding the right amount of charge. The full-discharge helps correct this issue.
If you don't believe me, keep charging your TouchHD whenever it is at 80 ~ 90% for a couple of months and you'll notice a "drop" in how fast your battery drains.
Cheers.
I definitely agree with this.
My Touch HD kept dying after a couple of hours, even when charging it over night. So I turned my phone off and charged it over night with a wall charger (instead of USB) and then it lasted for 48 hours with the same usage.
I think the battery tells the phone it is fully charged even when it is not. So like you say, it just needs recalibrating.
Not sure why the post appeared twice, I only submitted once!
Hi,
The button to the top wright of the phone, to close apps, the screwdriver icon says 59%. I guess that means running 59% of its power of whatever?
Shouldnt it say like 0%, since no apps are running?
Thanks.
After eight months and having my battery give me 2 minutes of talktime on a four hour charge, Orange UK have replaced it for me FOC.

That % shows the amount of free RAM your device has, not how much power it is consuming..
Not sure why you are having this problem, I use BB Connect all day at work and am on the phone for several hours, I don't have 3G in the US but notice if I have WiFI on it drains the battery fast.
Are you sure you don't have a program running that is always looking for the internet? You could try HD tweaks and turn off the internet all together and see if that helps.
1st of all excuse me for my bad english.
I have a big problem with my N1 after a full charge in 4 hour and NO USE i have 32% of battery.
In 2 more hours i have no battery and request cable to charge and than shout-off-
I try different radio and rom and kernel
I wipe battery stat.
No way.
What i can try and if i need spare parts or service for my phone from USA and i'm in italy ??
Thanks.
Is your phone getting hot? I'm pretty sure, and it sounds like you agree, that this can't be a software problem.
Maybe bad battery? Is it a new N1? Any damage? Drops?
If your phone is getting warm it is most likely a software problem. Sounds like you just have a bad app in the background that won't stop, and it is running your CPU constantly.
Download a task manager (not for the auto-kill, auto-kill is bad) but use it to see if there is any app that is constantly using up your CPU.
Also download Spare Parts and check the battery history and see if anything is high on the "partial wake" screen.
i try 4 different rom, 2 radio e 3 kernel.
No changes
The phone never fall from my hand.
Yesterday i put in a LeoFroyo and just full charge and boot this morning 6:00 at 10:00 i have 40% of battery.
RMA ?
Ok yeah, sounds like a bad battery then, or worse.
Some news here.
I bought a new and original battery for N1 from HTC.
No solve the problem.
I fully charge battery and in 12 H is drained (also Time and Date reset).
I fully charge the battery and leave it out of the phone and NO DRAIN
I fully charge and put in the phone POWER OFF and is drained (cannot say in how many hours).
So the strange and new things are
1) Drain with the Nexus power off
2) No a battery problem
3) Reset time and date after drain
What can use battery in the phone when is power-off ?????
I write at HTC USA and Italy but they dot answer nothing. (2 weeks ago USA 1 week Ita) It's normal this delay ?
Actually powered off? Or do you just turn the screen off? Do you press and hold on the power button, then choose "Power off"?
12H is pretty good for the battery, considering it sounds like you have auto-updating things and use it a lot. If it is draining in 12H when you don't use it, you probably have installed an app that is misbehaving.
if you are losing battery power when the phone is off then this is a phone problem

I think so someone have experience with HTC assistance ????
Hello guys i havae some problem with my Blackstone i use it from 2.5 years and i never had problem like this so..
Now when i recharging my device always stay on same % for example even for 1 hour its show always 20% or 50% or anything depends when i put it on the charger..
After restart can show 100% full or anything.. so i found out that the indicator absolutly do not work so if i restart it and show me the real % for example 50% the device always will show 50% battery untill the battery is fully discharged..
And right now i dont know how much Batterry i have and when will need to recharge..
I don`t know but i think this is a battery problem? i use this battery from the begining i mean from more than 2.5 years and maybe is time to change it?! but this heppand when i drop my device once on the floor so do thee is posible by droping the device some senzor to be broken or this is not posible i mean its a battery problem and i will need to buy new one?! or give me some idea how to test this and fix it.
Now no matter that the indicator do not work i still can use my device 1-2 days with one charge even if always show 20% this mean that in the battery itself have power for 2 days conversation internet and etc.. but just do not shown right.
Do anyone of you had the same problem ? and how do you fix it?
Also im looking to buy battery from ebay and i found today this :
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HTC-TOUCH-HD-...ultDomain_3&hash=item4aa9446824#ht_3230wt_905
What you think about this battery ? or can someone who already bought battery from ebay point me to get some good one
I read in the Diamond forum that peoples expirience the same problem with the indicator and even after Hard Reset or flashing new ROM the problem is still there.. so if this is right then i dont have reason to Flash again my device if the problem will be still here.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks
I did some tests... so i fully discharge the battery and i saw that even when the battery was on 0% and always the Warning appear i was able to play with the the Device with Wi Fi ON and Games and Music around 45 minutes wow.. this mean that the battery somehow was not calibratet and when its shows 0% in her still have around 30 40 % so after fully discharge the battery till the device Turn OFF by itself then few times turn it ON till there is not enought power even the WinMo to Startup i put it while OFF on the Charger and i was able to recharg to 100% and the light become green this mean the senzor itself work maybe just the battery need calibration again.
Now will see do the indicator work corectly after few more recharges and will write here for peoples who have the same problems in the future
...
hi dude, i think you should simply buy a new battery, but preferably an official htc battery - rather than the unofficial gold one you have posted a link to on ebay.
if you do decide to buy a new battery then put the new battery into your blackstone and charge while device is turned off.
this should fix your problem

Actually i think its not Battery die problem because i did some test and i see improvment my battery last at least 2-3 days with alot of usage wifi and etc so this is more than normal.. the problem was that the indicator do not work corectly and like i wrote above i discharge fully the battery till the device die and i saw that when my battery was on 0% i still play alot alot my device to swtich off this mean that befor when the indicator shows 0% its remain anorhter 30 40% power this heppand due to 2.5 years usage and i recharge the device when i have time not always when is fully without power and i think that this cause somehow a discalibration of the Li Ion so today when i did the trick i see improvments and now the indicator start to count ever single % so i think when i do this one or two more times the Battery will be calibratet and will show very corect how much Power i still have.
I think this way because if this battery was already died the device will not last 2-3 days with super usage.
