I don't know I have order the LCD screen to replace my Nexus 6P's. Unfortunately I 've ordered the poor quality one (screen resolution is not QHD).
so every time I boot up my phone I have to change the DPI to make it look as the original one (everything is too big as default) but it's not a big deal. I can root and change it later.
The problem is that everything that on full screen like playing videos, camera app etc... will be up side down and the color is faded. so I had do something and I found the trick.
I have to go to developer option and enable "Disable HW overlays + force gpu rendering" and its back to normal.
The question is that because of the LCD is not QHD resolution or I made a mistake and it affected to other parts when I changed the LCD?
Sorry for my english..

Hello,
after installing some applications my display resolution is somehow damaged.
The whole screen is flickering and everything is more bright than before.
The screen looks strange as every horizontal line of the display is followed by a thin dark line, so that the whole screen is in stripes.
Furthermore the icons and text seems to be slightly bigger.
In the settings the info claims to have 800x480 and 65k colors.
All applications still work fine, but look strange with the stripes and the flickering.
What worries me most is that even after hard reset the damaged screen resolution is kept.
I hope someone has a solution.

Interlacing
That's strange, it sounds like interlacing. When you say you did a hard reset do you mean a proper hard reset, as in, turn off, two silver soft keys and reset button under battery cover, reinstalls the OS?
If you did that and it isnt fixed then it looks like you have a hardware problem. It sounds like a sync issue because it's giving the effects of interlacing (i don't think the screen is interlaced, it shouldn't be, but it's possible).
In that case, you need a new phone.
documented hard-reset
Hi alias_neo,
the reset I did was with the silver buttons and the power button.
It then asked me if i really wanted to continue and had to press the R-key.
It then took a few minutes until the phone was up again and it was a fresh install.
If some software was able to change the display to interlaced, there must be a way to reverse it again.
Regards,

Solved
The way the damage came the same way it went away again.
Suddenly the interlaced dislpay stopped
Ok so the miss dropped the phone landed on it back. Now there screen is like this look at video.
https://youtu.be/m2BCxMcghUwDo Do i need a new screen i can't see any cracks to the screen at all..
I don't see a video or link.
Edit: Now it's there.
There is a link to a video i made if u watch it you can see the screen showing washed out and lines on it
If it's a G2 (description on YouTube) you might be better off asking in the G2 forum. At least for specifics, like whether replacing the screen is difficult.
I'd guess that you may need a new screen, but I'm not an expert. The first part of the video showed sort of a ring near the edge of the screen that was brighter. Is it possible that this has something to do with the screen's backlight? I'm guessing the backlight is attached to the the screen and replaced with the screen, so it probably wouldn't matter whether it's the screen itself or the backlight.
My phone was duin that after i broke the inside lcd only myn was much worse i coudnt see anything. Yepp you need a new screen mate
yes you need a new screen, buy it in ebay for $39
Been searching around and can't find anything on how to change the screen resolution of the V20 to 1080p. Because of the second screen and all, it just gets all funky. Anybody know how?
There's no way to change resolution.
Well... I have root. Does that help?
You can change dpi per app in Android 7 right? This is essentially aame thing
Its built in, check battery options
Not sure how the implemented second screen in software. Seems to bee on huge screen with a corner missing and I think that is why the resolution/doing changers are acting funny. I believe the second screen resolution is 160x1440. Have y'all tried dissing 2nd screen or modifying it so OS doesn't see second screen at all even when turned off by software. Might be a path to chase so.tou can get desire effects. I don't know. Just throwing my $.02 in.
i have broken my screen (touch amoled, all the screen) and i bought another one from ebay
looks original and arrived in a samsung service pack box
this new display have something strange in colors when the backlight is low, looks like...don't know how to explain but the colors are not perfect as they were with the factory screen...somehow a little bit green (always when light is low)
anyway sometimes now, like one time every week, after i while i'm using it, the screen go crazy and when i touch it, i see (developer, show touch dots) random touch around my fingers
some days ago this problem happened when i was in a call, me and my interlocutor, we heard a strange noise like bzzzzzrbrbzbrbrbzzzz when i was touching the screen, so there was the touch crazy problem and some strange noise when i was touching the screen
a reboot and everything is ok for some day....
i hope you had understood my poor english
opinions? what can i do? :crying:
ps. i have a 9506
It's probably a fake screen. That would explain your color problem and touch problem.

the screen resolution is correct and with high backlight the colors are perfect, looks like original on the front and on the back
how to check if it's fake?
I changed the whole screen (lcd+touch). Then I noticed that the screen touch performance is buggy. I couldt type well, it touches twice and writes a word for example "like => liikee" and this makes me crazy!.
Then I changed it again with a better one but this issue stilles. the response of touch screen is like a low resolution. But when i use a simple drwaing app it draws perfect lines even dots close enough. What should I do to solve this?
