Hi
I read that to unroot systemless root I have to reflash boot... is that true?
And if it was true, do I have to flash the BL file with ODIN? (BL_G935FXXU1BPH8_CL8888212_QB10602744_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 in my case)
Tnx

Hi all.
Considering to root with the almighty great Towelroot method and I have 2 rather quick questions..
1. Will rooting prevent any further OTA updates from Samsung.
2. Will flashing the stock AP firmware again via Odin restore the device in its original state (without root access)?
Thanks in advance!
Anyone?

Rooting will prevent OTA unless you either do a full unroot or Odin
flash the official stock firmware for your phones version and model.
Odin flashing original stock firmware will restore the phone to stock
without root. Just be sure that you do a full wipe including factory
reset in recovery before odin flashing.
After doing the above you will be able to get the OTA uprades.
Good luck!
Thanks for the prompt reply!
make it ra1n, it is. xD

just root with latest CF root and flash latest TWRP both through Odin, make sure you do a clean install of lollipop or you'll have issues.
Thanks
What is the best way to root sprint s4 on 4.4.2? Can I just odin twrp & then flash superuser zip?
Cf auto root. It will void Knox warranty.

The best way to root your device is the one most convenient for you. The method you suggested should work fine, and you can always use cf auto root as daniel suggested. I don't have any experience with towelroot but between the two aforementioned procedures you should be good to go. If you are gonna flash a custom rom there is no need to flash supersu zip save yourself an extra step if that is the case and just flash the latest custom recovery of your choice (my preference is twrp)

Flash TWRP. Flash SuperSU zip from there.
Can i flash cf-auto root?
Before reading this thread, I did same as per the suggestion of "Ithehappy", above; and my N910C MM6.0.1 just stayed on opening stage, the SAMSUNG logo was slowly flashing during awhile....
Good that I had a fresh backup image, so I directly restored it...
Anyone can advise the right process, as I beleive this is the simplest ans safest way...
Thx
I have a Samsung Galaxy J5 SM J500FN. I just install the last update Android 6.0.1 and now I'm trying to root in but I cannot find any rooting tool I tried kingroot, kingoroot but none of them could root my phone
For now I don't know about a way to root without Pc.
You can look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/how-to/tutorial-upgrade-j5-2015-to-6-0-t3443904
a downgrade solution. Maybe Kingroot is able to root it afterwards.
When unsuccessful you will at least be able to flash twrp via Odin and flash SuperSu zip(Google for it).

Hi I have a Samsung Galaxy j5 on 6.0.1 and I rooted it using the same one as I did for rooting on 5.1.1
Download CF auto root for your model and flash it via odin

Yes.. Rooting with supersu.zip via TWRP is the easiest method to root any lollipop or marshmallow phone :fingers-crossed:
