Has Anyone looked into flashing the AT&T firmware onto the TMobile S7e phone. I switch back to this device from my Note 7 and wanted to see if flashing the AT&T firmware would enable the missing LTE bands on the G935T.
Has anyone flashed the G935U firmware? Did it make the other bands available on your device?
Thanks!
Which bands are you worried about? The latest firmware enables band 12 on top of band 4 when it needs it.

Wanted to see if flashing AT&T firmware would activate Band 29 & 30. Or if I went to the G935U firmware it would activate all LTE bands...
From what I can tell those bands are not available to the T-Mobile variant's modem. I'm seeing it's capable (with firmware support) of using 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, & 20.

XDA members are working on this for US variants of the Note 4. After finding a solution for US variants, it should be easy to venture into the international variant as well.

I thought AT&T LTE bands were 2, 4, 5, and 17. Doesn't the F version work on those out of the box?
I know in the past on older Samsung devices (S5, etc) there was a way to unlock more LTE bands on the Qualcomm based devices.. I have a Verizon S7 and I'd like to upgrade this unit to a Note 7. I want to use the S7 on my AT&T SIM card. AT&T uses band 17 and band 12 primarily but the G930v doesn't support the band out of the box.
Is it possible to unlock the other LTE bands on the G930v?
Thanks in advance
Just flash the at&t firmware.

False.
Flash the SM-930U and profit. Take a peek at these two posts, particularly the second one.

I did flash the 930U and it worked just fine. Unlocked the LTE band just fine as well. I now have an unbranded S7 running AT&T full LTE coverage.
That is actually my post, lol.

Wow...I am dense. Good show lol
Just for the record, AT&T doesn't use Band 12, T-Mobile does. AT&T are bands 2, 4, 5 and 17. T-Mobile has 2, 4, 5 (which is new) and 12.

They are interoperable. I've seen both 12 and 17 using LTE Discovery with my AT&T sim card in.
I just tried to flash this and got the following error on my phone and odin failed.
SW REV CHECK FAIL : [aboot]Fused 4 > Binary 2
[1]eMMC write fail: aboot
Any ideas??

No! this can result in a damaged device. SM-G930U firmware are for USA Qualcomm S7s
Hello everyone! I recently got a second-hand verizon G2 VS980. I live in India (location is relevant in my case because of this being a US only model). I had ROOT pre-installed and it stays even after factory reset. This indicates that it is NOT stock.
This phone has legit hardware, as in it has all VS980 components. I have checked it. BUT IT HAS THE IMEI OF A D800. Does this mean that i also have the bands of D800 enabled?
Now what i want to do is,
Above all i want this phone rooted and flashed to the latest and most stable ROM atm.
Second, i would like to use 4G LTE on it, here in India. I know that VS980 supports only band 4 and 13. I NEED band 3,5,40. I have trawled the internet for this specific info but to no avail. Does the VS980 has the hardware it takes to use other 4G bands? Or is it manufactured only with band 4 and 13 in mind? The only pieces of little info i came upon was this

After spending a few days hacking around with the VS980 (LG G2 Verizon Model) I wish to share some findings.
1. NV edits to the bands will only work with baseband 11A or earlier. All later radios have the NV values hardcoded into the baseband and any changes will be reverted. You can successfully edit the NV values, and they will survive reboot on baseband 11A, but as soon as you install a later baseband they will revert to stock. CM11 works well with 11A. Perhaps binary modification to later basebands would be possible.
2. LTE Band 17 does not appear to be supported by the hardware. I copied all the values from a D801. Android now reports my phone as a GSM model instead of CDMA which is nice, but it just won't connect to LTE Band 17. If I delete band 4, I can't get LTE at all, so I know the settings are having an effect.

and this. So i am confused where to start, i currently have a 26A baseband. Is it possible to enable band 3,5 and 40 on VS980?
I found the guides much confusing and complex relative to other devices i had. I am confused what to do first.
Should i flash TWRP first? or
Should i flash stock firmware?
I see that bands can be edited only on baseband 11A or earlier, so should i downgrade to that etc.
I have the phantom touches, and i read that they were gone after a specific update, so can i still get/flash that update with
a 11A baseband?
I do not understand this baseband, bootloader, exploits, and ROM compatiblity things.
I am willing to try even low level edits if someone is able to help and guide me.
Lastly, i just want my VS980 to run a good stable ROM with (if possible) 4G LTE on band 3,5 and/or 20 (India) and NO phantom touches update.

Bump. Noone?
Can't anyone tell me that does the verizon model even includes hardware capability for 4G band 3,5 and 20? If this gets cleared, more than HALF of my problems will be gone.

This means that i can't enable/use other bands because the hardware does not exist for any band except 4 and 13. Yes?

Hi.
I have a Galaxy Note 3 base model n9005XXUGPQB1 but i want support for LTE 4 AWS band (because the 4g company in my country works in that band).
I read about a modem firmware in Odin. But i don't have a lot of information (And i used the search but nothing it's clear).
Can you help me, please? I'm using right now Resurrection Remix according to this topic: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...p-nougat-holy-grail-hlte-rock-stable-t3630301
Thank you

Yeah, I know that topics. But they don't have any explanation about my issue. What modem firmware i need to install? Why?
Thank you for your links but i need a little more help.
Install the modem for your network.
Don't work. Other ideas?
Thanks

Why not just activate the band 4 LTE in the service mode on your Note 3 SM N9005 ?
B4 (1700/2100 AWS 1), this frequency is used for North America as well as from South America.
It may be necessary to modify the feature/other.xml file in the CSC once the activation is done.
Because that mode don't work in Resurrection Remix. I'm trying to return to the stock firmware.
Okey. I activated the band with the *#0011#, back, input "Q0" in serviceMode. (Main Menu -> LTE -> LTE RF -> VZW LTE B4 on/off -> B4 Enable.
But my 4g is still don't working. If i search for "LTE favorite band" i saw a lot of bands except for Band 4.
Where is the problem? Thank you
Hello everyone,
Recently I was given a hand me down Verizon Samsung galaxy j7 V that is unlocked. I'm using it for my government subsidized truconnect service on the T-Mobile network. Anyway the lack of band 12 and voice over LTE is almost a dealbreaker as there are a lot of EDGE only areas in rural Indiana without band 12.
A few years ago I used a Verizon galaxy s7 on T-Mobile and successfully had all bands by flashing the unlocked firmware to replace the stock Verizon ROM.
Anyway, I was wondering if that would be possible on the J7 V. Basically could I put a T-Mobile or unlocked ROM on this phone and enable band 12 and VoLTE
Hrm. You'd need to flash the radio (CP) ROM to unlock additional bands. That S7 has most likely been flashed with 4 file (BL/AP/CP/CSC) ROM, am I right?
