Hey guys,
So I have this app called Floatify and I love the app, I've used it for a very long time but suddenly I noticed it didn't work anymore, I've installed the app again and again but it just works for 5 minutes and then it stops working.
I've enabled developer options and I've rooted the device, after those actions it didn't work anymore...
Does anyone know how I can make it work again?
Thanks in advance

my bet is it gets killed by the task manager... make it a system app or put it to white list and keep the phone in performance
It doesn't work with oreo

I just tried the latest version of Lockbot.
Again, they did not solved for us the issue about double lockscreen.
Your original lockscreen will appear first. than theirs....so...annoying as hell
I recently rooted my x10 and with titanium backup I deleted moxier and some foreign keyboards. But I can't find where they placed the original lockscreen program.
I think when you delete it from the system and install Lockbot the problem will be solved? Or is this a wrong way of thinking from me?
Does anyone knows where in the device they hide the lockscreen programm?
Cheers,
Arnold
I don't know of a way to delete it, there is an app in the market called no lock or something similar?!

It is CRAZY that you can't have just the "secure" lock, but have to do the "simple" lock THEN the "secure lock". Turning off the "secure" lock is no good, I want that protection!
Does anyone know if this has been sorted in future Android versions? Or is it just for the x10? I'm a relative newbie to all this.
there is a pay app called "goto". you can check "replace the original screenlock" to remove it. unfortunately, the built-in screenlock comes back from time to time.

Thank you for answering.
After I installed the latest lockbot version AND RESTARTED my phone it is working well for the first time after 300 versions of Lockbot
BUT, they made it so well you never see the original lockscreen back. You might think " THATS GREAT!"
Yes, but when you put your phone in airplane mode and put it back to normal mode, you won't able to login anymore as you don't see the original lockscreen. So you have to restart your phone before it works again. That might answer my own question....IF you are able to delete the lockscreen from your phone totally I think you are screwed as you need it to login your phone with your password.
So Lockbot improved a lot, and works great as long as you don't put your phone in airplane mode and switch it back to normal mode. That requires a reboot. I tested this new version of Lockbot for a day intensively and further on it works great and I did not see the original lockscreen anymore.
I will test it for another few days and when it is still working fine I will buy it.
Cheers,
Arnold

What version is that?
1.15.2 pro version.
Still no problems...

Hmm, i have buy pro version 1.15.2 and i have still dual lock screen problem
Did you restart?
I just read the only bug is when you hit the menu button when its locked, than the double will appear. I tested that and its true. But after re boot its working great again. Or go to settings in lockbot and uncheck and check again the option to replace original lockscreen
It can t be working for me only I guess, my phone is rooted but I don't think that make a difference...

now it works, I should just disable "No Lock" apps ...BTW my X10i is also rooted ...
Great, I thought I gave wrong advice...

Hi,
My Use for all screens stopped working. Anyone experience this or know how to fix it? It's checked in the One-handed operation option.
Thanks.

I haven't been able to get mine to work period. I have disabled and enabled the feature multiple time and I just can't get it to work.....
Use it all the time. Might be an issue with a specific version of the phone or if you have modified it somehow.

I tried when my phone was completely stock. Prior to even changing out the launcher. Humph.... I may have to go talk to verizon.

I have the T-Mobile version and it worked in the beginning, but now I can't get it to work
A shame since I was just getting used to it and how to gesture it on and off.
This seems to be a Samsung issue rather than a carrier fault.
(mine is unlocked and in use on AT&T)
Would it be advisable to contact Samsung directly?
Go to Settings>Device>Accessibility, and check under "Services". Having apps turned on there can break the one-handed function.
I have NiLS for lockscreen notifications, but it seems to run fine even when the service permission is turned off.

Bingo! Thank You barnabydog!
The good news: It worked! I turned off the offending app and I'm back in business!
The bad news: The offending app was Pebble (smartwatch)
A feature that is more useful to me than the one handed mode . . .
So then is this the sad state of affairs? I have to choose between my Mini-screen mode and my smart watch?
How did you know about this barnabydog?
is there another thread that discusses this issue?
Yes, but I was too lazy to search for it.

So now that 5.1 offers a restart function without physically unplugging, is there anyone up to the task of making an app that allows one to do this from the launcher screen? Don't know why Google decided to bury it.
I ask because every few days it drops my USB ethernet and the only way to get it back is to restart. My wife and daughter use it a lot so I'd like something a little more family friendly..
Thanks..

Just making sure... is your Android 5.1 platform Rooted?
EDIT: Btw, I have been using this shortcut app from the Leanback launcher to reboot LP 5.1 (rooted), but the icon and popup with the boot options don't look as nice as the ones in the app from the Play Store.
It works for me on stock rooted 5.1

TV Boot works perfectly on my (stock) rooted Nexus Player with Android 5.1.

Updated SU binaries and reboot is now workingâș, however no go with power off.
It's actually a good thing that TV Boot's shut down function isn't enabled. If you use another reboot app like PhongIT's Quick Reboot to "shut down" the Nexus Player, it goes in to a completely unresponsive state until you power cycle it. You're better off letting the device go into its daydream and sleep modes on its own.
I'm still on 5.0 rooted and I'm doing this from my smartphone using Tasker and Auotoremote (lite): with a widget on my smartphone I call a Tasker task which send an autoremote message to my NP; here Tasker intercept the message and restart the NP; I also have a task for only power down the NP; I will also try managing volume in the same way, but I don't know if it will work ...
I made an open source app called reboot is here on xda can't link to it right now but if you look at the threads I've made you'll find it. It works so far so good. I'm thinking about combining that with the open source home launcher app. When I get some time.
Hi there
i want to use macrodroid, its a great app to make automation, altough it request acessebility to interact with the UI.
all works great, but when radio comes back from sleep mode....the authorization is again disabled, so the app does not work.
i cannot root my device - already tried several ways...
is there anyway to keep the acessibility options enabled for the app even after sleep?
thanks a lot

Hello guys,
Someone is using my phone to record what happening on cam
Could someone please help me on how to disable this ? Each time i connect to my wifi this icon near hours show up and start blinking, any one have an idea ?
Thanks guys
Depending on what version of Android you have, you could go through permissions to see which apps allow camera use while app is running. Use the Permissions manager to do this.
Turn them off any suspect apps. If that doesn't do it, turn them off in batches until you narrow it down.

You could also turn off all sensors.

A good starting point: Disable for all applications that you side-loaded ... meaning, any apps that you didn't install from the Google Play store.
I did a clean install, everthing was erased (with odin samsung phone), untill now all god, but each time i connect to my wifi the small icon start recording...
Any idea guys ?
That symbol is samsungs screen recorder
