So I wanted to update the King ROM which required updating the bootloader and modem. Except I flashed the BL file on both the BL and CP tabs on Odin, then the phone got stuck on boot. I later flashed the proper BL and CP files but it would still get stuck on boot. I now reflashed the ROM to see if that would help but nothing is happening. I don't know what to do!
Im not quite sure but try reflashing a complete stock rom.
In general, always make a recovery backup before flashing anything regarding bl or other basic parts of the firmware. I bricked my phone before as well and it saves a lot of time to have a backup.

A painful experience - see below - taught me that a NANDROID backup isn't enough.
I had to find a PIT file, a bootloader and a modem.
What else does one need to be able to get back to an earlier version, and is there some software to do that
automatically?
I've tried an Android-5.0 for which I had to flash the boot loader and the modem, as well.
The Android-5.0 system booted well but it turnt out that I got insurmountable difficulties with WLAN
authentication. Therefore I wanted to go back to Kitkat (4.4.2) which I had backed up by TWRP.
I could restore the system but got a boot loop - no wiping helped.
Then I tried to install a stock 4.4.2 system but ODIN-3.09 has stalled for more than an hour such that I had
to kill it. Now my device was broken. Luckily I did find a suitable PIT file, boot loader and modem.
Even then ODIN didn't succeed. With the help of Philz-Touch-Recover I could reformat some partitions.
Only after that ODIN succeeded - together with the PIT file - to flash the bootloader and the modem,
Only now, I could boot into the old version.
Many thanks for a hint,
Helmut.
Hi all, im really hoping someone can help, and that what ive done is reversible.
After rooting I tried installing the alliance rom (lollipop) on my n610f, i got a boot loop so restored the backup rom using CWM without any problems, i read on the alliance rom page that id need a different bootloader and modem, i got what i thought were the correct one and put them on using odin, did a wipe and tried again, same bootloop. Except this time when i restore the backup rom i still have the same boot loop.
If anyone has a fix for this id be eternally grateful.
Fixed it by flashing N910FXXU1B OB4 [Lollipop 5.0.1] bootloader and modem
What did you flash? Modem or bootloader..? I think the best solution is, flash stock firmware via odin, then try again.
Everything was fine until I flashed CM13 unofficial.
Now, my bootloader is updated to 6.0 (COJ5 something or COH4), I can't revert to something prior to that: odin fails at sboot.bin NAND write start fail.
-While this issue has occured to many others than me, I'm the only one who can't even boot into CM13 or AOSP based ROMs, even after pushing different variants of ROMs several times through ADB, bootloops are still persistent.
-Any other 5.1.1 Official ROM that's not COJ5 or COH4 fails to flash at odin. COJ5/COH4 ROMS flash succesfully, but the phone doesn't boot past the samsung text.
-I have tried flashing various COH4 ROMS along with their AP,BL,CSC etc, everything flashes succesfully apart from the bootloader file, and after that it's the same samsung text brick. I couldn't find the PIT files (bootloader csc n such) for COJ5..
Is there a place I can find a backed up EFS partion ?file? and restore it myself? Would this get me out of the****hole i'm currently in?
What can I do about this...

Yea i came across this, but there was one tiny problem
how on earth am i supposed to root, get busybox, and apply usb debugging on my phone while it has no functional ROM?
and how on earth am i supposed to transfer a backup from my ROMless phone?
Do you have a pit file for repartition
If so, access twrp , wipe everything including your internal storage. Then boot into download mode.
In the computer, load the pit file and your stock coj5 into Odin 3.10 , tick "repartition" and "Nand Erase All"then click start.
Back to your phone - which now should be boot looping - access the stock recovery and wipe. Root - try using a different root method like chainfire's Odin autoroot - then twrp ur phone. Flash cm13 then start running the steps I threaded ( [fix] note 4 exynos bootloop problem ...... )
PM me for what you get

You got twrp recovery? If you do, you probably wiped system partition too.
You don't need to flash pit, bootloader etc. You can just flash any custom rom to get it booted again.
Otherwise you'll have to download firmware to flash in odin. You probably need one starting with FXXU3 if you was updated to latest MM version, or N.
I wiped all. Can you guide me to download right file?
Hi all. Long story short, trying to fix this phone up for a relative. I used the bootloader unlock to unlock it (it's a VZW variant). After, I flashed a CM14 nightly build. Shortly after, I purchased a new phone and it basically got put away in early 2016 if I remember correctly.
Well, yesterday, I tried wiping and flashing a rom called SkiesROM to it, which failed to boot after the AROMA setup. After, I tried flashing a QA1 stock rooted ROM which has also failed to boot and won't do anything except boot loop when it gets to the red verizon logo.
In short, I want to figure out how to get this phone working again on ANY Android version with TWRP. I don't know what version of firmware I'm on now. I don't know what bootloader version it is now. All I know is that I can access TWRP when I want to. I assume that gives me an edge in flashing whatever I need to flash on it.
I forgot that I needed to be on certain levels of firmware to change ROMs on this phone, so I think that's where I messed up and now I don't know how to backtrack and get into any working ROM. Can someone help me please?
TL;DR: I can get into TWRP. I don't know what firmware or bootloader version this thing is on. It's a VZW variant that I bootloader unlocked but I don't know if it's still bootloader unlocked. I want to boot this thing on any stable ROM even if it's a stock one. Please help me.
You can flash latest rom at https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/general/update-qi2-t3688046 with Odin and then reflash TWRP with Odin. Just make sure you flash the Dev Friendly version of the Rom so you don't lose your unlocked boot loader status.
If you can eat to recovery did you not back up your current ROM? Always back up always I bricked S7 before lol learned my lesson on that one but now on s5 mini so playing around is great but any more help you need if I can help mm
