Finally Back to stock 100% - One (M9+) General

Hi Guys
Just I'd like to share with You my experiment to whom need it
as most of this Thread useres . I have a rooted M9+ with Custom rom in most its " CleanSlate"
after android "Marshmallow 6.0.1 update" released , and CleanSlate 1.2.3 ROM discontinued
i stucked without be able to get "Marshmallow 6.0.1 update"
i tried to update OTA file manualy ( If you like to get OTA file you can find it "data/data/com.htc.updater/files" if ur device roote) but i failed
also i tried to restore many Stock recovery Ver. to update OTA but i got errors every time
Any way lets start
If your Device S-OFF
1- first need to download any M9+ RUU Stock rom you want
i downloaded 0PK7IMG_HIAU_ML_TUHL_L50_SENSE70_HTC_Europe_1.08.4
or download what ever you want try this link
but you need to know that you have to change you CID number according to RUU
How I know the CID number from RUU ?!!!
extract the RUU file you find file name "android-info.txt" open it you find
HTML:
modelid: 0PK711000 cidnum: HTC__001 cidnum: HTC__J15 cidnum: HTC__M27 mainver: 1.08.707.4 aareport:1
btype:1
in this case u have 3 CID number you can choose any one of them
lets select "HTC__J15"
2- change your CID number
boot to your download mode
from CMD type
HTML:
fastboot oem writecid HTC__J15
fastboot reboot
3- Finally rename the Ruu file to "0PK7IMG" and put it in ur SD card
now . Reboot to download mode , Press VOL UP to start flash. , After the end of the process, select the "power" and run devices
Congratulation you have a stock Room
The problem these RUU link very old , so you will need to update many Ver. till u reach final update of "Marshmallow 6.0.1 update"
if some one have a new RUU links please share
and for the user which his device S-on
you have to check you CID number and select you suitable RUU rom

SD Not Mounted

And also wouldn't I need stock recovery for this? If so, please link it for me.

Goldcard will only help if your error is related to the CID. If you have a branded phone (Rogers, for example) and you want to flash a ROM that is only meant for a different carrier (Vodafone, for example), the goldcard overrides the CID check and continues the process.
A checksum error could mean that the file has been altered.
Could you tell us exactly what information you see on your phone's FASTBOOT page? Model, HBOOT version, RADIO, S-ON/S-OFF, etc.
Thanks.

Okay, there at two issues to deal with first. You have a perfected SPL, 1.33.0014, and you are S-ON. The perfected SPL means that fastboot is crippled and won't let you do most things, and S-ON means it will only let you flash signed images.
***
*** This is one way to fix things, but I'm sure someone knows a better way. If someone knows a better way, please post ***
***
The first step is to unlock the bootloader. This will at least let you flash a custom recovery.
Go to HTC Dev and make an account. Once you've logged in, click on "Unlock Bootloader", then the "Get Started" button. You should be able to skip the RUU installation step, but, if you must do it, the file you want is at this link: SAPP10000 hboot 1.33.0014G. Follow the steps, send your ID token, receive the Unlock_code.bin, and flash it.
Once all of that is done, the bootloader should be unlocked (but still S-ON). You should now be able to flash a custom recovery using this guide: RA sapphire recovery. Scroll down to where it says "via fastboot". It says that is requires an ENG spl, but the unlocked bootloader should be enough. The file you want is: recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.7.0G.img
If you get into the custom recovery alright, you can try updating to an engineering SPL using a signed zip file. Go to this thread and download "roottools". Open it up and get "hboot_2010_signed.zip". Put it in the root (not in a folder) of an sdcard, put the sdcard into your phone and boot into recovery. Look for an option to install a zip file from your sdcard.
If that doesn't work, try renaming the hboot_2010_signed.zip to SAPPIMG.zip, put it on the sdcard and boot into HBOOT mode (Volume Down + Power). It will scan the sdcard and try to install SAPPIMG.zip.
If all of that goes well, let us know.
1. i already go to htcdev used the 1.33.0014 spl and unlocked it. It says "*** UNLOCKED***"
2. i don't recovery, only fastboot
3. tried goldcard with sandisk and no sucess!

But did you actually try to flash a recovery image from fastboot?
Download this image: AmonRA 1.7.0G Recovery image
Put your phone into fastboot USB
Open a Command Prompt, cd to the recovery-RA-blahblah.img location, then type this:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.7.0G.img

Alright. We can try downgrading with the RUU for your phone and a goldcard. Download the RUU exe file, run it, but don't use it to install. While it's open, go into C:\ Users \ Whateveryourusernameis \ AppData (may be hidden) \ Local \ Temp \ then look for the 2 newest folders in Temp. One of them will contain "dotnetinstaller.exe" and another folder. Go into the other folder and you'll find "rom.nbh".
Run: fastboot flash nbh rom.nbh
If it still doesn't work, try it in RUU mode: fastboot oem rebootRUU (and then use fastboot flash nbh rom.nbh)
If THAT doesn't work, put the rom.nbh on the root directory of your goldcard, rename it SAPPIMG.nbh, and boot into HBOOT mode. It should be autodetected.

So you still have the stock recovery... I guess the only way for you is to flash RRU directly. Have u tried that?
This situation is very typical for incorrect ruus. Flash ruu from pc not click.

Download RUU from here (find suitable ROM for your click - if you don't know which ROM, choose RUU_Click_HTC_WWE_1.67.405.6_WWE_release_signed_NoDriver.exe).
Open this .exe file on your pc and follow the instructions.
You'll need htc tattoo cable (not regular miniUSB cable, because it doesn't work for this).
In any case, you need a pc if you want stock rom.
Thank you all!
Thank you all for your help...you saved me ... I had S-ON and couldn't make a GOLDCARD so i was getting 131 error i suppose because i didn't have the stock ROM so i finnaly downloaded a good RUU (same model ID and country ) and IT WORKED !!

[S-OFF] Lollipop A5_DWG firmware to fix WiFi

Hello everyone, This is my first post in Desire 816 forum.
It seem like many people restored lollipop backup with WiFi issue. This is happen because you didn't update firmware that come with official OTA. I made firmware mod with removed red text warning hboot and decide to share it here.
S-OFF with SuperCID only
How to:
- Reboot phone to fastboot mode by press vol down + power then select fastboot in hboot menu
- Copy firmware zip to platform-tools folder of Android SDK or your own copy place of fastboot
- Rename it to firmware.zip
- Open terminal side the folder and type
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
- You will see white HTC logo then type
Code:
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
- Now type the same command again
Code:
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
- Finished! You can reboot by
Code:
fastboot reboot
For S-ON user you can flash official firmware zip if you are using one of CID listed.

a huge thanks to you for the explanation I'll be looking around for OTA image for A5_DUG to fix my firmware then
so, I extracted A5_DUG firmware.zip from its OTA. when I try to flash the firmware, this is what I get.
when should I flash it anyway? before or after restoring the TWRP lolipop backup?
also, am I correct to assume that by flashing this, I will lose custom recovery and have to flash TWRP again ?(as firmweare.zip includes the stock recovery.img)
*EDIT* Nevermind. I found out that if you're S-On , the bootloader should be locked in order to flash a zip in RUU, so you'll have to type in this command before flashing:
Fastboot oem lock
Click to collapse
and ofcourse, you'll need to unlock later, and it doesn't accept your old Unlocktoken, so you'll have to get another one from HTCdev
and then flash custom recovery afterwards.

If you're S-on, there's not much you can do.( I read somewhere that you can edit CID in the firmware files so that your device accepts it but I can't remember where or how it was.)
