No, the DAC only works through the headphone jack.
Wireless headphones have their own DAC so to reiterate the answer, no.

Hi guys,
Is there any word about apt-x codec support on teh galaxy note?
Also, I've used bluetooth headset about 4 years ago and there was always a noise in the background while nothing was being played plus lots of delays on the audio (nokia N82 plus nokia BH-601 headphone)
With an good expensive headphone like the sennheiser mm 550 should I expect the same problem?
Thanks!
Note doesnt support apt-x. Still a lot of background noise in my case.

do you have delay as well during video playing?
What kinf of headphone do you use?
Just wondering..... The headphone jack on the bottom of the Nexus 7, does it support a microphone also?
If so..... what is your recommendation for ear buds and microphone combination that will plug into the jack?

Yes it does, and I've used both Ultimate Ears 500vi and Klipsch s4a with my N7. Both are mid-range ($50+), but they both had fantastic sound quality and microphone quality. If you're an audiophile though or plan on using them for music as well, the Klipsch provide clearer/more defined sound. Klipsch also has an Android app available to customize the reactions to various clicks of the built-in button on the headphones.

I attempted to use my cheap Skullcandy headphones which have a mic, but I don't think they worked. I'll have to try again in a more controlled scenario.

Which is funny since it would appear that the Nexus 7 does not have mic support via the jack after all.

It works fine for me with apple headphones.

Good stuff, but the headphone jack does not support a mic, so the mic your are using is the mic built into the top of the N7.

I have tried to make the Adapt Sound work with phone calls on my wired headset and it just doesn't seem to be an option. Anyone know how to make this work??
Curious if it would be possible to get adapt sound to work with Bluetooth headphones?

Didn't check the date on this, but no it won't work on bluetooth and to start the program I had to make a widget. Hope there is an update because they made my wired headphones sound a lot better.
What makes wired headphones and even blue tooth sound the best is Viper4android imo.. It literally turns your headphones into magic :sly::thumbup:
I'm on 4.3 And using this from the Play store

I am on a Verizon variant Edge. Just recently I have noticed that with a Bluetooth headset I am getting good quality call Audio, but when I listen to Media it sounds like I am listening to an 8-track. I have noticed this on my LG hbs800 wireless earbuds, and a mono bluetooth headset. I have tried all the fixes I have found online including clearing the cache, for stopping Bluetooth share, and also unpairing and repairing all Bluetooth devices. Nothing I have found has been of any help. Any ideas?

Won't let me, it's grayed out. Also as a side note, the LG hsb800 have a volume control on the side of them and that has stopped working.

Are you sure your bt headset is connected? It's greyed out when no headset is connected. Also double clicking the power button on my Motorola bt skips tracks so try that?

Wow, you must be pretty old if you know what an 8 track sounds like. ??
I have a problem where my bluetooth audio will clip the high frequencies when connected to my car audio. The car bluetooth adapter I use connects through apt-x and had no issue with my LG g3.

If I were to plug a Bluetooth transmitter into the headphone jack and connect a Bluetooth headphone would I be able to use DAC through Bluetooth that way or does it require a cable to work at all and not just something plugged into the jack?

I don't know how to verify that it's working. I think it sounds different but I don't know if it's because of the transmitter itself or because the DAC is on

So dac is on...then there ya go. If not working it would not show
