This happens if there is even a very momentary loss of power. Before assuming anything too complex, I would check to make sure the battery is absolutely firm against its contacts. You can insert a strip of card between the casing and the battery. See here:

If the problem remains, then I would suspect one of the internal flex cables.

thx for fast answer mike
testing now ^_^
i second that
I had the same issue with an extended battery. I used some duct tape to make a tighter fit and havent had any problems since then. I guess a strip of card is a better idea, but duct tape seems to work (plus its more manly ).
I've accidentaly broke the volume ribbon when I changed my lcd, so I replaced it with a working used one.
Only problem is, that the orange plastic with the black doth in it came off, and now the vol down button doesn't make the "popping" sound when I press it, and it doesn't work.
Vol up is fine.
Can I fix it, without buying a new ribbon?

I've already glued it back, but my main concern is, that it does not click, like the other one. :S

I have dirt under my LED. I opened the phone and I can't reach it, it's between the glass and some semi-translucent plastic. Any chances on cleaning it without having to detach the whole screen? I don't want to screw things up.
This is the place where the dirt is, after removing the glass.

I recall such a thread being around a few months back. The person was completely obsessed about it =). I honestly doubt you can remove it without detaching the screen completely. You should be careful with the digitizer as it is very fragile....
The other person replaced his G2 completely. Since replacing the entire front panel isn't quite cheap I think there's no other option than to disassemble it.
Ya. Well, I thought maybe that black square can be removed (temporarily) from the case, since it is of a different colour. Maybe someone who is familiar with disassembling this phone can tell us more.

Yeah, better wait for an educated response. My biggest fear in this case, however, is that the black square won't adhere properly afterwards and then you'd keep getting lint under the LED.

Thanks for the reply, but I found the answer. Here's a little advice sometimes it's better to say nothing than to be an obnoxious Ahole.
And which one was it now?
It's not my fault if you don't know how to use Google. Or are you just being lazy ?
There are numerous disassemble vids with description of the tools you need on the Web.
And where did you find it now ? At the butchers store ?

Any idea?
i'm using 5.1 version of android stock.
i really apreciate it.
Sorry for my bad english.
I think it's too late to take a risk of rescuing after all this time. Maybe there's rust on the motherboard and connections. Buy an isopropyl and clean the motherboard, but I thik it's too late. Look at phone after one week of drown.

I know it's not a N4, but you see the damage.

i disassembled my N4 but no rest of liquid or something
Clean camera connection with isopropyl.
It's probably too late as of there was water inside and you used it then the connection would get fried
