Why would you flash Lp? Your issue is that you're trying to force a MM ROM to boot with a Lp bootloader.

Yup, flash 6.0 agian, and all files

try reflashing twrp, see if it helps

Flash kdz file with normal flash, it'll flash stock recovery and then update... Or just flash L firmware straight ahead
Sent from my caseless LG G3, because I believe in myself

Flashed L KDZ and all back to stock!
Thank guys appreciate help.
I think i'll wait now till we have some roms available before i go rooting and putting custom recoveries on.
RIght so we have to get the message out....
If you have Bumped recovery - dont OTA update?
I thought it was root 101 to not accept OTA's? This is XDA right?

Message is already out, if you are rooted DON'T OTA.
People just don't bother searching before doing things.
Plus this is a question asking for help, should be in Q&A not General.
If you got twrp recovery, don't ever use OTA. because it only works with stock recovery. In case you want newest firmware, you should wait for custom roms based on that firmware or just flash kdz file of that firmware.

isn't any stock flashable recovery to start update and boot to system?
If you've got access to fastboot and a bootable image (rin image from http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/orig-development/kernel-rin-kernel-1-0-t2847581 works well) you can boot that and the looping should stop.

Stock ROM Backup

Hi,
I have rooted and installed TWRP on my 910F Note4 as I was fed up waiting on the lollipop update rolling out. I am currently on 4.4.4 and have made a full backup using TWRP of the stock rom.
My intention was flashing the Cyanogen ROM and using that, but i now see on sammobile there is a stock 5.01 rom available. I have a few questions about this.
1. If I flash to Cyanogen can I still revert back to the stock rom 4.4.4 I have made a backup with? I read somewhere there might be problems as I was on KitKat then moved to lollipop(Cyanogen).
2. Can I flash the stock lollipop rom from within TWRP? Or do you have to do this via ODIN?
3. If I flash the Lollipop stock ROM with Odin I assume I will lose root and TWRP? So this would have to done again?
Guess I am asking what is the best way to proceed?
Thanks again
Paul

hi Paul,
1. i beleve to flash CM from kitkat you will need to install the lollipop bootloader first.
2. You have to flash the stock rom via Odin, you will keep all apps settings and files but you will lose root (you u can re root in 3 minutes)
Best thing you could do is flash the stock rom first with odin, see how that feels (IMO its good been using it for months now) and then root it and back it up and flash CM12 (you dont have to flash any boatloader at this point)
grtz

Ok tried to flash Stock O2 UK lollipop ROM via ODIN and got error message on screen. MD5 too big or something. Had to pull battery on phone. Had to then reflash TWRP. Got back into TWRP and tried to do a recovery of the backup I took but phone is stuck at Galaxy note 4 screen. It then shuts down and restarts and gets to the same screen again.
Do I try a different ROM? What can I do?
Thanks
Paul

I got it working by flashing the German non branded ROM... Got the error message again but then used a "All samsung recovery.tar" as stated on another post in here and it booted fine eventually... Now on Lollipop. Now time to flash with TWRP.... Again!!!
Please, i need help !
I need help, urgently !
My Note 4 SM-N910C does not work. I can enter the Recovery and the Download Mode. When attempting to install a Custom ROM gives me an error that says I have no data. In the internal memory I have 0mb.
I tried using odin, but I can not .. Salta error.
Someone who can make a backup of your phone (which is factory), leave me a link to download it? So I install the TWRP. Please.
They have another solution?
Thank you.:good:

I found the solution. first install this recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/elife-e7/orig-development/recovery-t-r-p-2-8-6-t3070779
now you install ths custom rom with it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/eli...e-e7-discovery-elite-porting-project-t3009765
and then you will be able for shutting down the phone and flash the stock rom with gncq.
Thanks for replying. Can you also tell me which stock recovery you flashed.

sincerely i dont know. i just flashed the stock rom with the instructions that i gave (flash twrp, flash monirom, power off, flash stock rom with gnqc). i think the stock recovery is included in the stock rom file, so i think is the blu life pure xl one (i flashed the blu stock rom, because my phone is one). i thinkif you fash the gionee stock rom, you will be flashing the gionee stock recovery too. you can find the stock rom in android xda (just search "gionee elife e7 stock rom" in google)

TWRP to Stock Recovery

How can I go back to stock recovery?
I am on TWRP, but using stock rom. I can no longer perform OTA updates. It would be easier to just go back to everything stock. TIA!
Anybody?

Try flash the new stock rom and should revert back to stock recovery and update the player same time.

I flashed this version 7.1.2 (N2G47X, Jun 2017) with TWRP. I think prior version can not flash with TWRP.

recovery resets to stock after update.

I have rooted my op5 and got twrp recovery but every time I update the rom by flashing it from recovery the recovery goes back to stock. Is it normal? Or is there a way to keep the twrp recovry ever after updating.
You need to flash supersu/magisk after flashing a ROM update to keep TWRP

Yes, and flashing the stock ROM also flashes the stock recovery. Hence TWRP being replaced.
If you want to keep TWRP after a stock ROM flash, just flash the recovery img file right after you flashed the stock ROM.

Or use Flashfire and check the appropriate box.
Use Flashify it's an app in the play store I had the same problem. Flash recovery via that

So I don't need to install it via bootlaoder every time.. I can just flash it via recovery after installing the rom and that will work??

Yes. I updated mine the exact same way.
But remember, flash them all at once and reboot only after you're done. Rebooting will replace TWRP with stock recovery and you won't be able to flash TWRP in stock.
Flash stock ROM, Magisk or SuperSU and a TWRP.img file, then reboot.
